Review: At first, I was a bit disappointed in this pasta sauce because I was expecting it to taste somewhat like marinara sauce; however, I refrained from judging it too hastily and too harshly because the more I used it in various dishes, the more I appreciated its versatility. It is like a blank slate... a tabula rasa...which may be added to recipes as is or may be altered by the addition of various spices and cheeses. Do you want your pasta sauce to be "angry," in other words, "arrabiata," hence spicy? Then, embellish this sauce with a few shakes of powdered cayenne pepper and a chopped clove or two of "The Stinking Rose," as it was known...in other words...garlic, and you will have a piquant pasta sauce. Or, skip the cayenne pepper and garlic and, instead, add some basil and grated Parmesan and Romano cheese...for a lovely pasta sauce without any "anger." This pasta sauce is economically priced and can be divided in several Rubbermaid containers and placed in the freezer for when the The Culinary Muse visits your kitchen. It's definitely worth it to keep a can or two of this pasta sauce in your kitchen pantry.

Title: Tasty for a quick inexpensive family meal
Review: We have been buying Huntâs Spaghetti sauce with herb and garlic for many years now. Itâs lower in sugar than other popular brands. We always add our own extra ingredients (fresh rosemary, diced tomatoes, fresh garlic and red wine). Inexpensive too.

Title: Ever see a box of heavy canned Hunts red sauce fly through the air and bounce off a front door?
Review: There I was, sitting by my window doing computer work, walking on crutches, waiting for my delivery of red sauce so I could get my weekly favorite meal started. And, suddenly, here comes the driver, I was so excited. To my surprise, he swung his arm and the heavy box of LARGE cans bounced off the door, onto my stoop. My heart was as crushed as the cans inside the box were. I was just stunned. 1/2 the cans I ordered are damaged. This Hunts traditional red sauce, has mostly natural ingredients, it is simple and good quality, it is my favorite staple I can not live without and have stocked it in my pantry for over 20 years, I highly recommend it. However, IF, you order canned goods in the future, I suggest you order with caution and hope...that they arrive unscathed and not damaged because guess what, I was just told by Amazon, I've run out of luck, since they don't replace damaged cans. Bottom line, if you can't drive or walk and need some assistance getting canned goods from Amazon? Order more than you need. The delivery guy knew it was heavy, how he threw 12 cans in the air? I'm sure there's a reason.
