Title: Amazing Grill/Smoker
Review: My husband and I are full time RVers and we really missed having a way to smoke meats since all we had was our very small Volcano grill. It works great for grilling, but no way to smoke and not enough room to cook for a crowd. I started looking for portable smoker options and found portable pellet grills. I looked at Traegar and Green Mountain grills and was almost ready to pull the trigger on one of those when I found the Camp Chef Pursuit. We already own a Camp Chef two burner camp stove and have used it for years, so knew that Camp Chef made a good product. I really liked the fact that the Pursuit has two racks and the Slide and Grill feature, which meant we could both smoke and grill on this one unit and it was capable of cooking more items at a time. The weight was a little heavy for a portable, but we have found that it works out OK. We have cooked several batches of chicken wings, a couple of racks of baby back ribs, boneless chicken thighs, fish, steaks, pizzas and a Boston butt so far. We're still tweaking cook times, but everything has come out tasty so far. We are trying to figure out what temp to cook the pizzas on as we've burned the bottoms a couple times. We made a mistake and used foil on the grease tray to try and make it easier to clean, but for some reason it really kept the heat lower than we wanted, so use foil with caution! We bought some grill mats for non-stick and use them on the top rack as they are not supposed to be exposed to direct flame. So far, we've only used our Pursuit while connected to 110 power, but if you have a small inverter, you could use a car or truck battery as a power source for tailgating or off-grid camping. This is a really versatile smoker and grill! When we first received the grill, we had a problem with the igniter. It started up, but after a couple of minutes it would trip the ground fault on the unit. We contacted Camp Chef and they overnighted us a replacement igniter as we were only going to be at that campground for a couple more days. There was also a crack in the plastic handle on the legs that we discovered later and they promptly sent us the replacement for it as well. Camp Chef has been very responsive to our needs and we feel very confident that we will use and enjoy this smoker/grill for years to come.

Title: Great For Travel and Home
Review: Love that this smoker came mostly assembled. I only had to remove packaging, put the racks in, and attach the ash tray. So far Iâve used it twice and itâs worked great. The only drawback for me was having to flip it all the way over to extend the legs, which seems better to do with 2 people. You have to put a mat or cardboard down to flip it over so it doesnât get scratched or dented, then extend the legs, and finally flip it back over. Again, you probably need 2 people. Other than that itâs been great so far.

Title: Out of the box looks ok. I give it less than one star.
Review: I just opened the box (cut it up) unfolded the legs and tried to roll it a few feet.OK so now the first problem. The wheels will not turn. They use a thin wall tubing that is so weak that when they installed the wheel at the factory they collapsed the tubing so now the wheels rub against the tubing and the axle is to short to put a spacer in.What to do. Do I send it back or do I build a new pair of legs? what to do. I bought this to use in my motorhome. This was the first problem and I hope no more problems. O the second problem is I found the same BBQ for $100.00 less....I will write moreLeft at a locked gate outside the property on the street. They said it was given to me, I call BS.Now I am going to fix the wheels.I am very disappointed with this company. They are now on my do not buy from list.Emailed the company.... NO HELP!I will not buy from this company again. They were no help in getting it fixed.

Title: Such a great little grill/smoker with outstanding features.
Review: Our propane grill was rusting out. I have always had a gas grill and a gas or electric smoker in the past. Wanted to combine into one unit. Wow does this fit the bill. Can put sear marks on a steak and smoke low and slow for 10 hours. great flavor and easy to use. Don't think this is a small grill/smoker. Portable but can fit a lot of food on it. Lots of videos on youtube on how to use it also.

Title: Had for 4 years
Review: I got this grill off Amazon, no issues with unboxing, did have an issue with the wheel rubbing on the legs⦠it wore paint off but no other issues. The portability of this grill is like a 5/10. You have to tip it up on the smoker box to get the other legs to swing in and then the other way to get those legs in⦠and repeat to get it out⦠buying an almost 500$ grill to tip it end to end seems cheap to me. But non the less, here I am 4 years later still doing it and doesnât seem to affect the performance of the grill. The heating inconsistency is the reason for low stars⦠left back side is nice and hot.. canât say that for the rest of the area⦠so I use my grill as one side to cook, other to keep warmâ¦could be just this grill or it could be every one they sell⦠I make steak and burgers on it,Canât say I ever used the middle rack, it was in my way with getting to the bottom one because it is a full rack across the whole grill box..I did TONS of research and read hundreds of reviews before choosing this grill⦠mainly due to the size of the grill box, auger clean out and the legs folded up so I could camp with it.Iâm not an avid smoker, I run grill mode more often than anything because I donât smoke that much meat⦠this was better than a propane grill and lugging around the tank and hope it donât leak outâ¦This would be easy to make into a table top grill as well because you can cook with the legs folded up, Iv cooked on the tailgate of my truck with it⦠I just want to find something else for legs and Iâll be set..Over the years iv had a few encounters with fires in the cup on the bottom, could be from the brand of pellets I use, not sure but when I shut it off, I open the cup gate, and pull auger out and take off the cup which has 100% helped with my issueâ¦Overall, itâs not a bad grill, it does what I want just think the leg thing is lame and cheap.
