Title: First light...this looks to be a real winner!
Review: 10/20/24: I just received this grill and am planning my first cook with it later this week. In the meantime, I wanted to provide some quick unboxing photos and will be updating this review as I go through the burn in and first use in the coming days. For background, I own 2 large Traeger pellet grills, a large Big Green Egg, Weber Performer, numerous Blackstone griddles, Ninja Woodfire grill and many, many others. I'm not new to grilling and I do have high expectations for any new grill I acquire. This little grill caught my eye for all the reasons you're probably reading this review, most notably portability and battery power...plus, it's a pellet grill! Like you, I looked at the Traeger Ranger, Pit Boss and others, and like anything and everything here on Amazon, they all had mixed reviews, from those who love them to the usual slate of detractors. At the time of this review, the Exit Fire'n'Go is so new that very few reviews are available. I found some on YouTube, but not a lot of in-depth discussion on the strengths and weaknesses. One person even had a video saying this could be used indoors or outdoors. Nope...this is OUTDOORS ONLY.I'll say that mine arrived in perfect condition. No damage to the box or its contents...YAY! It is well packaged and the overall look and design of the product says volumes to me about the amount of creativity and innovation it's designers put into it. If Apple Computer were to design a grill, this would be it. The battery had about 25% charge and is charging as I type. It uses a standard 5v USB cable. The Exit Fire'n'Go also comes with a 110 power brick, but for my first tests I'll be using the battery (of course)! From the fold out top allowing both expansion of the cooking chamber and economy of space for storage when collapsed, to the fold down legs, side handles, beautiful LED readout, tactile dial and more, this grill just makes me smile. It really is a work of art and will undoubtedly elicit ooohhhsss and ahhhsss at the next camp cookout.I can tell at first light, this is the one all of us who love to travel, camp, tailgate, etc. have been waiting for. Everything from the grill grate to the drip tray are solid, well finished and fit perfectly. Nothing is oddly shaped, warped or funky. It's top shelf all the way and that puts a huge smile on my face, while at the same time providing a great deal of relief for this self-admitted grill snob. So much so, I'm feeling brave enough to take the box to recycling. So with that, I'll close until I get the first cook underway and will report as soon as complete with additional photos and comments.

Title: Easy to use compact pellet grill
Review: Iâve been grilling all my life, from the first âSmokey joeâ charcoal grill to a big green egg and natural gas fired grill with built in sear stations and rotisserie burners. Iâve even cooked over an open fire once or twice in my time while camping. So needless to say I couldnât resist this grill. This is admittedly my first pellet style grill and I am impressed. This is perfect if you camp, tailgate, have a smaller outdoor footprint like a balcony or small patio or if you are just starting out and looking for something forgiving and easy to use to learn the culinary arts of grilling. This grill is completely portable and âtransformsâ down to a smaller size still by collapsing the top portion down, making for a compact and easy to store form factor. The grill is well constructed and feels pretty sturdy, nothing flimsy here. It weighs in around 40-50 lbs, which wasnât terribly heavy to move around but you may want to have a helping hand to move it or store it on a shelf when using the collapsing handles on both sides. The grill comes with a cover with four pouches in it for storing power cords and instructions, I did note that two of the pouches had openings that faced downward, donât know if this was a manufacturing flaw or intentional, but seems a little weird. There is ample space to grill 4 16 ounce ribeyes or a couple of flank steaks similar to the one I cooked (see video). The operation is super simple, just charge the battery with the provided cord (youâll have to provide your own USB charger), slide it into itâs installed position, load the hopper with your favorite pellets (I chose a traeger brand multi-species blend) set your temperature and press the button. I chose to cook my steak around the 500 degree mark and it took about 10 minutes for the grill to reach that temperature. Cooking the flank steak took about another 20 minutes and the grill did a great job providing a decent sear without a flame ever actually touching the meat. Like most grills this one has its hot spots towards the edges of the grill surface, so there was a bit of a learning curve for my first try. The unit comes with a separate power cord should you chose to not use the onboard battery. It also has a temperature probe which displays the temperature on the front screen. When you plug the probe in, the grill temperature is replaced with the probe temperature, would have liked the display to show both. Initial impressions are great and I really like this grill! It has me thinking about smoking something on it now. I think this is an excellent grill if your looking for a grill for camping/tailgating or as a gift for your son or daughter that has just moved out and needs an easy to use and compact grill for their grilling needs. Or if your a grilling geek like me and wants to add to another tool to your grilling toolbox!

Title: Great little smoker!
Review: Smoking can be a long and involved process when done for large pieces. This is for smaller pieces and takes up WAY less real estate than a full size smoker. The is fantastic for doing small batches of things like a single rack of ribs, the "Bacon Explosion" (look it up), 1 chicken, that kind of thing. Set up and cook is easy and uses less wood to achieve the desired result. Break down a whole brisket or but into smaller pieces and put a 4-5lb one on this baby. You will be surprised at the result!
