Title: Great Set For A Decent Price- You Will Need A Storage Case
Review: I love to work with various art tools. Finding good matte graphite pencils has been a goal of mine, so I tried this.HOW THIS COMESThis comes with the pencils, eraser, extender, and sharpener all in a molded case where each item sits. It is a very thin plastic tray and breaks easily. The box it is in is very thin and easily deforms, letting everything out of the tray which is annoying.CASEYou will need to have a pencil case handy. If you want it well laid out with hardness lined up in order, the book kind will be the best choice. If you don't care, then a simple zipper case will be fine, or a hard box case.PERFORMANCEThese pencils are really nice. They seem to perform well on most sketch pad paper. The Matte pencils are really dark and nice as expected, It is a great contrast for drawings and I like it. The erasers work well depending on the paper used of courseTHE BOTTOM LINEThis set is a nice set for a good price. The box it cones in won't be good enough for storing the set though,MY RATINGFIVE STARS. I like this set and think for the money it is worth it for beginners or experienced artists. I will try to update with a drawing when I get time to draw a decent one.

Title: Good bundle of good pencils at a good price. Very happy with this set.
Review: I use artists' graphic pencils kinda-sorta-sometimes professionally. I'm not a deep expert, but I do know what I like and use. My favorite set is 12 Daler Rowney graphic pencils I got years and years ago, and use a bit more sparingly because I haven't found that set (or it's replacement version) whenever I look. Those are my benchmark because I like how they sketch/draw, the pencils are very nicely made, and they have great weight and balance.I saw this set on Vine, and figured I could try them out and - if I like them - have a budget-friendly brand of workhorse pencils I could use and replace in the future, without having to shell out for Fabers, Prismacolors, or Staedtlers (until I can find my beloved Daler Rowneys again). Kalour pencils got some positive reviews across the web, and had several videos and blog posts about them (not on Amazon). I figured it was worth a try.My stuff ultimately gets touched up by other means (digital or manual coloring), so I'm not doing complete finished works in pencil. However, for my purposes, these fulfill my needs so far. This is a very good-sized set for $9.99. It has a range of pencils from B to 14B (it skips odd numbers after 4B), and again from HB through 5H. It also has six matte pencils, which I'm not familiar with, but am excited to use. They're a bit lighter weight than my Daler Rowneys, so they don't feel quite as nice in my hand, but they are a decent weight. They are nicely balanced, especially for a set at this price. The pencil bodies are nice, smooth, and suitably strong. They're sized and shaped similarly to most other hex-shaped graphic pencils I've used. The graphite/lead seems nice and is well-secured in the body, and so far, the lines on all the pencils go down very nicely, consistently, and smoothly. From what I've tested across the pencils (using a variety of pressures), there's no crumbling, breakage, or snagging/skipping.The lines overall do seem to go down just a bit lighter in the shade/depth than my other pencils (relative to other pencils and their same corresponding hardness/blackness on the scale), but it's a small enough difference that I almost chalk it up to me seeing differences that may not be there. The set also includes a decent all-metal two-hole sharpener, two erasers (one vinyl and one kneaded), a large double-ended blending stump/stick, and a pencil extender. I've never used an extender, as short as pencils might get, so I can't attest to its overall quality. I haven't tested the erasers, and I won't use them until I wear out others I have "in flight," but they seem decent. My only complaint is the description on the product page, which says there are 22 pencils total, including eight matte pencils. There are 20 pencils total, including six matte pencils. There are, as the title says, 25 total PIECES in this set, including the blending stump, erasers, extender, and sharpener. But there are only 20 pencils ---> fourteen regular pencils, and six matte pencils. They should update the listing to be accurate (the pictures on the page are accurate).Barring anything that sours my opinion in the coming months, this may be my go-to brand for workhorse pencils. I will gladly pay $9.99 to get this set in the future.

Title: a nice pencil set with the addition of matte pencils
Review: i LOVE matte pencils, i tried them once and immediately fell in love. they're always a bit darker than your standard graphite, and they can get such gorgeous near-black tones and so little shine! if you work with pencils a lot but haven't tried matte ones, this set will give you a nice taste of them at a great price. both pencils in the images i've added are 8b layered quite heavily. i added a pic where you can see the difference in darkness in the tone, as well as one showing off the shine of the two kinds of graphite.the vinyl eraser is nice, the kneaded eraser is a kneaded eraser, and the blending stump is a blending stump. the sharpener is awful, but i got another similar set from this brand with a good sharpener, so they're likely hit or miss. i wouldn't rely on them.

Title: Decent Drawing Pencil Set!
Review: These are pretty nice pencils. The lead grading seems a bit arbitrary: the HB felt softer to me than the B, the 2B felt softer than the 3B and the 14B felt harder than both the 10B and the 12B. But, all the pencils are lovely to work with. The softer lead grades are nice and buttery and lay down very dark. The matte graphite pencils are not entirely matte, but they ARE significantly less shiny than the regular pencils. (I don't think it's possible to create an entirely matte graphite pencil, for what it's worth. I also have the Faber-CastellPitt Matte Graphite pencils, and they are about the same as these Kalour matte pencils.)What lets this set down and prevents me from giving it five stars are the erasers. I expected the white one to be a Hi-Polymer like the Staedler Mars or the Pentel, where the shavings roll off, but it is some other type of plastic that is very crumbly. It works fine on the lighter pencils, but degrades very quickly, and it doesn't move the softer/darker pencils at all. The company should consider replacing this; the Hi-Polys can't be that expensive if I can buy a whole pack at Daiso for $1.75. Similarly, the kneaded eraser is very stiff, and thus can't be cleaned easily. The shading stump works fine, and the sharpener works fine. The pencil extender is a great addition, although fitting the dipped ends of the pencils into it is a very tight squeeze. It's a bit awkward to pull things out of the plastic tray, so these will probably end up in a pencil bag.

Title: Decent Kit
Review: This is a great option for people who are interested in sketching but don't want to invest a lot of money or have to purchase each item individually. This is a versatile and complete kit that will enable you to try different techniques without spending a lot of having to make extra trips to the store.
