Title: Simply gorgeous stuff illustrating masterful skills
Review: If you aren't inspired to get moving on your drawings again, there's little hope for you. While the emphasis is on highly realistic drawings, there are a variety of styles presented in this volume. It's a slow medium, true, but you don't have to work on full-sized drawing paper, either. It's my favorite medium, and this book certainly illustrates why. The best of the best are gathered here, and it's easily worth the price.

Title: ABSOLUTELY STUNNING.
Review: It is extremely difficult to explain; describe in words, just what can be accomplished using those colored pencils so many are familiar with via their first exposure to them in grade school. I always receive sort of a kick out of people who have never seen this art form on full display. Their first reaction is disbelief and it sometimes takes some tall convincing. They often times think they are viewing actual photographs...depending upon the particular work being viewed. This collection of prints, and yes, it is a wonderful collection, is the second in a series. If I am not mistaken, they are on number four now. This particular collection contains hundreds of illustrations and fine art and includes the winners and exhibitors from the most recent Colored Pencil Society of America Exhibition. The photography which produced these reproductions is top of the line. The only complaint I might have is that I would love to see these works in full size...that is not the books fault though. My primary reason for spending hours with this book, and the others in the series, it for pure visual enjoyment and pure inspiration; these books richly provide both.I create some pretty awful artwork with my hobby of drawing with colored pencils. I will never in the world be really any good and do it only to please myself. But despite the fact that the artists featured in this volume are in a complete different universe than I will ever be able to join, the fact that I know just what the possibilities are...if you are truly good; have true talent and imagination, well, it somehow comforts and encourages me.Give you self a visual feast and find a copy of this one. I promise you will not be sorry. You will see some stunning things.Don BlankenshipThe Ozarks
