Title: Work with music? Use these!!
Review: This review is in support of that which was submitted a year prior by Scott A.These pencils are great! They are my new go to pencils. Smooth and easy to erase and make corrections.I am also a professional musician. Pencils in the domain of music notation have specific requirements. When I was taking an arranging class (we had to hand write the scores), the instructor insisted that we only use #1 pencils to notate music, as they print darker and erase more cleanly when altering notation. An arranger from Las Vegas recommended Mirado Black Warrior (#1) pencils, which I used until they became unavailable. I went through various brands, some of which were vintage and unusual. (like Sinclair oil company pencils!)I had also purchased Ticonderoga #1 pencils...they were the worst! The lead kept breaking...like it was segmented. Hopefully they have resolved this issue, but I would recommend not getting these.I never purchased any of the super expensive pencils.I came across these, and especially on the recommendation of Scott A, took the plunge. I am very happy I did. These are perfect for my purposes. I HIGHLY recommend them.Smooth, sturdy lead, well centered, erases as cleanly as any #1 I've used, writes very smoothl. And the eraser is the best I've run across!Wish I found these earlier!

Title: Excellent craftsmanship
Review: These are premium Japanese pencils, the HB lead is softer than American HB/#2 lead which means it's a very smooth writing experience. Lays down dark lines with minimal pressure and the eraser is excellent. I highly recommend picking up a pack of these extraordinarily awesome pencils.

Title: Great value. Not just for writing
Review: These are excellent pencils. They look beautiful, and while they're good for writing, they're also great for drawing. In my opinion, just as good as pencils that are ridiculously priced in comparison. The wood is high quality, and they hold a point very well if sharpened with a quality sharpener. Good eraser as well. I'll be buying these from now on whenever I need some HB hardness pencils.

Title: Aesthetic Feel
Review: I’ve always stood by Ticonderoga wood pencils. Grew up using them. Tried other brands that don’t sharpen as well or feel odd when writing. These pencils made Ticonderoga pencils feel that way. The Mitsubishis sharpen more evenly. The wood of the pencil feels nicer on the fingers. Writing with them is a whole other level. Smooth and effortless. Plus, they just look nice. Red with a white eraser.

Title: Smooth writing; nice color
Review: I recently came across this, and it really impressed me on multiple levels. Its standout feature is the elegant brown wrap that immediately catches your eye. The earthy tones of the wrapping give it a classic and refined look, something you might see on a desk in a writer’s retreat or a rustic art studio. As for its performance, this pencil is incredibly smooth. I use it mostly for writing notes, and the lead glides effortlessly across the paper, almost as if it were designed for the purpose of making handwriting a more enjoyable experience. The softness of the lead strikes a perfect balance—not too soft to smudge easily but just soft enough to give a dark, clear line with minimal pressure.

Title: Never thought I'd be recommending pencils
Review: This is a great pencil. They are well balanced, gives dark lines and lead doesnt break. Never would have imagined that I'd be singing the praises of a pencil - but here we are. Purchased for my kid becuase her pencil lead kept breaking immediately after sharpening and these held up well. The darkness of the lead and the slightly thicker barrel helped her to learn to write and she asks for these pencils exclusively now. They feel different from other #2 pencils from Target or Ticonderoga - just a bit heaftier, just enough to make writing sessions more comfortable and less taxing. These exceeded my expectations. Worth the price.

Title: Strong tips
Review: I throw my pencils in my purse along with keys, lip stick, glasses. The tips do not break. I'm on Amazon looking for tip covers because I want to protect my purse lining, but I'm dumbfounded by har durable the graphite is. Very nice pencils.
