Title: Nice upgrades from older versions
Review: This small 4 cup (actually 5) is a nice upgrade from earlier models. It's a replacement for an older one that still works but is getting fragile and finicky. The biggest and most obvious change is the cord. Gone is the old hard plastic ungrounded 2-pin that was around for, I guess 50 years. Now Farberware is using the standard rubberized 3-prong grounded cord IBM introduced in 1981 for its PC and is today used on all sorts of devices because IT WORKS! I've never seen one break, and a grounded metal pot is far safer. And it still makes great percolated coffee! The base inside is now one continuous piece of stainless steel, now longer a multi-piece retainer for the bottom of the perk stem, meaning less chance of failure.I use a drip basket type brown paper filter in the basket and you can hook the edges over the perk stem to little or no grounds end up in the coffee and cleanup is far less messy. Plus it smooths out the coffee as well!3 small cons:For the longest time Farberware had an extra support around the perk stem that is now gone. Not sure it matters. The basket lid no longer snaps on to the basket, which prevented it popping off. Not sure I like that. I'm using the basket and lid from the old one as it's a perfect fit!It uses a lot more coffee. When filled to the 5c line it take 35 grams of coarse-ground coffee to make the perfect pot. My 14c Cuisinart uses 42 grams of coffee ground to powder to make the perfect pot.Overall, this is a great little pot, perfect for travelling. Combine it with a Zojirushi 16oz sipping thermos and you're all set!Addition: A lady name A. Ricci complained that the cord is too short. I have an easy solution for her: Take the cord to a local Best Buy, computer store, or hardware store and show them the cord. It is EXACTLY the same as all computer power cords since 1981 and longer ones are common. Just ask them for a longer cord, like 3 or 6 feet and they'll be HAPPY to sell it to you! One problem solved!

Title: No plastic!! All stainless steel.
Review: First of all, I like this coffee pot because it doesn't contain any microplastics. It's all stainless steel. It's nice and small, four cups. Unlike drip coffee pots, it heats up quickly and it keeps the coffee really hot. There's no evaporation so the coffee doesn't get distasteful. It's easy to clean being all stainless steel. I used drip coffee pots for years until plastic became a concern. This is a great little coffee pot.

Title: Great Little Pot
Review: We were eliminating all cookware/appliances that have aluminum that contacts the food - and the last to go were the small coffee makers we used RV camping and as back up in the kitchen. They have an aluminum heating tube that you don't see unless you take them apart. Enter the Farberware all stainless steel percolator. Perfect size for our RV and it's fast and makes a tasty, hot pot of coffee in less time than coffeemakers. Best of all I snagged this one as an Amazon Warehouse deal at a substantial discount!

Title: Makes great coffee, but maybe too hot
Review: This percolator design is great! The lid for the basket stays secure during brewing so that coffee grounds don't float out of the top like some other brands. However, it gets 4 stars because I've noticed that it seems like the pot keeps the coffee so hot that it simmers or boils after the brewing process, which really isn't ideal for maintaining the quality of the coffee. That being said, if you unplug it quickly after percolating process is done, it stays warm for a long while and won't do as much simmering.

Title: How many years did I live without an old fashion percolator?
Review: All SS interior and I its FAST! It takes approx. 5 mins to brew a full pot. Also, I am finding that a percolator brews a smooth cup of coffee and extracts the most out of any coffee (so you use less coffee). This brand is excellent quality and worth the the high $$$ (lol). No regrets on this purchase.

Title: Best Coffee I've ever made!
Review: I got this coffee maker to avoid black plastic (which seems to be what 90% of all drip coffee makers are made of - or at least the filter baskets are). I was worried it would be messy, or difficult, or that I'd get coffee grinds in my coffee. I've had it for several weeks now - it is easy to use and makes great coffee - and I have never once had any coffee grinds in my coffee - and I am not using the filter discs - just using it as designed - no paper filters needed. If you're thinking of trying a percolator - this is the one to get!

Title: Farber Ware coffee pot
Review: This is the percolator! I LOVE it! Coffee tastes great and I don’t have to go to Starbucks or Dunkin’ Donuts for morning coffee. Easy to clean. You don’t have to use filters. Keeps coffee warm. 20 starsYou do need to unplug it to turn it off. However it does safely keep coffee warm for hours. It’s not heavy. The design is simple.

Review: Difficulty removing the lid of the pot. There was no on and off switch on product and no indication with a light telling you the product was on or off unless you went to the main switch. The product was more like tin than stainless steel and had a very weak plastic handle. The product came with an American electrical connection and not a British connection with plug. This was not in the advert of the product. The product would not work with a British electrical connection that we had to buy and so would not heat up the water in the percolator which looked more like a tin kettle. We have to pay postal costs to send this product back to America which was also not in the advert of the product. Altogether a terrible purchase and a waste of one's time.
