Title: works perfectly, glad I purchased this
Review: our other two "goose cannons" broke. The electronics just gave up. They lasted about 5 years. This new cannon works great. The return cycle is better since it gives just as strong a stream of water as the starting cycle. On the previous cannon, the return cycle was half as strong as the starting cycle which always bothered me. It is a little sensitive which means it was going off whenever we walked by. I had to turn it down to the least sensitive cycle. It works great and was very reasonable. I am very happy.

Title: Batteries lasted only 10 days
Review: Worked great keeping the deer from my rose garden for a whole 10 days. Rec'd June 11 and today is June 21. This evening it no longer works on any setting. I changed the batteries that I put in 10 days ago and it's working again. I hope it was just bad batteries because I don't see putting them in every 10 days. Otherwise, it's doing its job.

Title: Pure Unadulterated Garbage!!!
Review: Yeah look at the picture it really says it all!!This is only good if you want to provide a drinking fountain for raccoons!Hey Havaheart!!! So far the score is Raccoon's one (1) Haveahart Zero (0)Yeah Havehart the Racoons are making a fool out of your brand and your product!! The sensor is so weak and has such a narrow field to it they just walked around the piece of junk grabbed it by the head held it and drank from it while it was running. The Racoons turned this fraudulently advertised piece of junk into a toy and their own private water dispenser. This is the major flaw other accompanying flaws are as follows:Junk and I do mean cheap plastic junk construction.Upon assembly leaks were present had to tighten down further. After it worked for a while it started leaking again requiring more tightening. Not a big deal just figured I’d go ahead and use some Teflon tape to better secure the fittings.I never got around to putting the Teflon tape on though, because the sprinkler head portion of it flew off into the air and into the yard.So I went ahead and decrease the pressure to the hose thinking that might be the issue after snapping it back on.Next the triggering / valve sprinkling portion malfunctioned and continued running after it was triggered. Turned it off then back on @3:00 AM. Not Acceptable!!!Lastly, while activated with new batteries & water running the raccoons, turned this supposed deterrent into a private drinking fountain, please see the picture. You can’t stage a photo like this ,It really says it all.One star folks I would give you zero if it was at all possible, this is being returned. I do not advise anybody waste your time or money on this shoddy and useless, seriously flawed garbage.Amazon please pull this garbage, it is a waste of everyone’s time and money.

Title: It works!
Review: So here is our problem. We live more rural in a wooded subdivision with each lot being 2 to 4 acres. We have deer, black bears, tons of chipmunks, other wildlife that we manage not eating into our bird feeders and garden with motion detector alarms. BUT the squirrels, OMG, are in a healthy population here. Nothing to look out my door and see 30 to 40…way too many to manage. Besides being acrobatics and curious of everything. They’ve sharpened their teeth on our cast aluminum patio furniture and now they’ve figured out ( after 15 years) that if they climb my magnolia Jane , they can get on the roof and use our gutter and gutter guards as teeth sharpeners! The hot sauce, motion detector alarms , the peppermint spray didn’t even phase them. So we got this and it has worked excellently! They go running when it sets off! At setting 2 it detects chipmunks to! Great purchase!

Title: Got it to work, which shouldn't have been the goal
Review: The first one I received had a faulty sensor that wouldn't go off even if I covered the sensor with my hand repeatedly. This gave me an hour of headache as I was trying to determine if it was user error, battery, or environmental conditions but it turned out to just be a bad unit so that speaks on the quality control. The replacement had the opposite effect. I was getting faulty triggers even on the lower sensitivity setting. I'm using this device to keep neighborhood cats and my own dogs out of a golf practice zone in the backyard and to stop them from doing their business on my expensive launch pad and tent. What happens if this device faces towards the sun, is if it goes off, it wets the ground that might pool some water, then the warmth of sun appears to reflect off the ground or tent and it causes another false trigger. After a few days of these false triggers going off all the time wasting my water, the batteries died and needed to be replaced. I had to re-angle the device to face away from the suns path and this eliminated the false triggers however it wasn't ideal for the layout of my backyard and I was restricting my own territory. So it took some tinkering until I found a way to angle the device towards the ground a small amount and it reduces the false triggers. At night it works the best as there's less overall interference to cause false triggers. The sound alone can scare some animals and the water splattering all over the place is a bonus scare action. With decent water pressure the sprinkler easily shoots over 10 feet and can zone out a good area. My dogs had claim to my whole backyard and no matter what I tried other than fencing off an entire area, the dogs would do their business in the only areas I don't want them to. This was the most cost effective way to zone them out of a certain area. The good news is in several weeks, my area doesn't smell and there's no orange stains and soft tootsie rolls to clean up.It doesn't feel high quality but it doesn't leak, and at least the sensor works on my second unit. The only problem I have with it, is I have zero confidence in leaving this completely unattended as under the right circumstance, if it goes off, it could put itself into an indefinite loop of continually re-activating itself until the battery dies and it's flooded a small area 5 cups of water at a time.Another bonus is my younger kids like to pay chicken with it to see how close can they get before it sprays them. My dogs now respect it and they look at it with cautious eyes when they go out there. I also have never seen them urinate in my area as they get pelted with the sprinkler water, it usually makes them go in another area which is the point.

Review: Easy to assemble but tends to leak from various joints unless parts are really tightened up. Wasn't sure if they were going to break before I got the leaks fixed. Once assembled, installed and adjusted it worked well and certainly soaks the cats if they come through the garden. Have not seen them since I installed it! Would be nice to have a Day and/or Night setting!

Review: El producto es bueno y funcional, fácil de armar, seria estupendo si la batería fuese solar. Es necesaria una buena presión en la línea de abastecimiento para que funcione plenamente.

Review: Unfortunately, there are no temperature range defined in data sheet. We had snow and next morning the pipe burst when water wanted to spray when the sensor was activated by movement. This is hard to believe as this is a Canadian product where snow is the order of the day during winter season.Extremely disappointed as this product lasted not even 3 months.

Review: This motion activated sprinkler is working very well. It kept the deer out of our garden, after only a month, it stopped working. So, the battery life in our application was pretty short (not what I’d expected after reading reviews prior to our purchase). Clearly, we’ve had more use with the sensor than many other people that have reviewed it. So other than needing more batteries, it’s been great. We installed it on a post in our garden, it’s easy to turn off when needed, and also great for occasional watering. Had some leaking issues on initial installation, but plumbers tape helped. (Not sure why there is an extra plastic connection at the base - that would be nice if it were improved.). Thankful to have finally found such an item, it’s made a big difference in keeping our garden veggies for ourselves, instead of feeding the deer.

Customers say

Customers like the product for its ability to keep critters away. They mention it's easy to setup and works well to scare off any critters. However, some customers have reported issues with leakage and battery life. They also have issues with value for money and mixed opinions on functionality and motion detection.
