Title: I love this thing
Review: Sturdy and beautiful. It’s a bit heavy when it’s full but that’s because it’s thick glass. I love how it looks and my water tastes great. It holds more water than I thought it did. I understand it says exactly how much it holds but when you pour it the top empties out quickly due to the shape. The base is very wide though so it’s deceiving kind of. There’s plenty of water in there that lasts me all day, multiple days if I’m not super on my water intake for the day haha. Look, I don’t know what people are complaining about this pitcher filtering too slow. Does it come out as fast as your faucets? Obviously not. It filters faster than the stream of water coming out of my fridge though. I think the videos of it dripping painfully slow are when the reservoir you put the water to be filtered into is low. You have to put more water in to get the stream to start coming out quickly again. If there’s not a lot of water in there waiting to be filtered it’s gonna start to drip slowly. It seems pretty common sense to me. Maybe people just have zero patience. I wake up, take it out and fill it and set it aside. Start to do whatever I have to in the kitchen, like make coffee, clean, make food etc. In like 3 minutes of doing tasks it’s filtered the water that was in there. I put more water in it and just try to keep topping it off. All said and done it takes about 20min maybe to fill from empty. I’m still in the kitchen doing things. It’s really not a dramatic pain like some of these reviews are making it seem. Personally I don’t super trust filters where the water just goes through as fast as your pouring it in. Also I bet these are the people who pour themselves a glass of water from a water filter pitcher and never top it off before putting it back in the fridge. That’s all you really have to do. Anyways, I’ve had this pitcher for a little over a month now and I love it.

Title: Glass is best…
Review: I previously had ordered the 10 cup LifeStraw pitcher- it came in plastic. Despite washing several times, the water tasted horrible. We sent it back and tried this 7cup glass version. It’s fab. The water tastes great. It does fill slow, initially it does fill really slow. They are changing the pipes in our city and sent out a lead alert. So I feel more comfortable having safe water to drink. But I also love the design, it’s a beautiful look.

Title: Lovely and different GLASS pitcher
Review: This LifeStraw 7 cup pitcher is super streamlined and attractive! The water tastes cleaner! But it does have several design quirks that I hope will be fixed in future models. This is just so nice looking and feels much higher quality than the competition - we have mostly used Brita pitchers in the past and this feels much nicer in terms of materials. I was looking for a glass pitcher without any plastic, and could not find something that was completely plastic free, but at least the body of this one is glass, with a silicone outer (removable) base. The double filter is pretty cool and they say it removes microplastics plus lead and bacteria, which I have not seen in other filters! Nice. I was really excited about that and I can actually taste a pretty noticeable difference in the taste of this water vs a Brita lead reducing filter pitcher. The main downfall of this lovely pitcher is how unbelievably slow the filter is...the first use and then following 3-4 uses were painfully slow, it took literally all day to filter one batch (the first batch) of water (not a whole pitcher full, just one small reservoir full). I was shocked. This speed has improved, but is still really slow compared to the Brita. Like really slow. Another design flaw is the location of the handle - I love that it is glass, but the handle is up really high on the body of the pitcher and when you have this half full or more, the handle is hard to hold and the pitcher is hard to tilt because of the weight. Speaking of which, the weight of this pitcher will be a major challenge for some because of the glass--when it is full, it weighs over 8 lbs. The last thing to know / not great feature is that the reservoir that you fill to filter the water is so small (I totally understand why, design-wise, it could not really be any bigger) that you have to fill it up SO, so many times to get a full pitcher. My goal in buying this was to have one pitcher to use for the day for myself so I would know how much water I am drinking in a day and then fill it up at night. Well I don't have that much time on my hands at night to refill the reservoir so many times, since it also takes so long to filter. I'm including a picture of the pitcher when it is pretty full and with this amount of water, the entire thing weighs 7 lbs 9 oz. Another picture to show the size difference. Overall I am still happy with this purchase! Just wish the filter were faster and reservoir were larger.

Title: Improving the quality and safety of potable water the easy way
Review: I bought this product to ensure that the family drinking water is as safe as it can possibly be. The drinking water where I live is river sourced. The problem with this is that we are all aware of declining potable water quality arising from toxins and increasing water temperatures. I also have a sediment and chemical reducing water pitcher for cooking and the pets. As for the LifeStraw glass pitcher, after assembly and following the use instructions I did not experience any of the leaks or problems I read in other reviews. It works as intended. The water is impeccably clean and I trust reducing microorganisms. Great tasting water too! As for the comments concerning slowness, the filter system is indeed SLOW. It takes about 30 minutes for the water cone to drain. What I do to compensate for this is to keep the pitcher topped up by refilling after a glass or two of water to avoid running out. As I said the alternate water pitcher is used for cooking and pets and is a fast fill for this purpose. I have used other inline systems for water purity and find the LifeStraw is easier and cheaper to maintain. I would not hesitate to buy this product again. I will be adding a LifeStraw hiking filter to my vehicle travel kit. Finally, I appreciate what the company does in bringing potable water filters to problematic countries and thus accept the slowness. For a good clip on this subject watch Dan Becker's YouTube trip to Africa with the LifeStraw Program.

Review: I love this filtered pitcher. Did a bunch of research and love the price vs effectiveness of this. Filters out so many things. Only downside is it fills kind of slow because of the double filter system, but for better tasting water I’m fine with that. I just sit it on my sink and slowly fill each time I go in there until it’s at a satisfactory height, then I store back in my fridge

Review: I went from a brita to this pitcher and i love it! Filters a lot more of the strange taste my city’s water has, and also is large enough for my needs! The filters may work a little slower than other brand i’ve used, but perhaps thats just testament to how good it is!

Review: This has been a great buy for our 2-person household. I was worried the pitcher would filter slowly because of some reviews on this page, but we find the filter works fairly quickly. We love it!
