Title: Making better dough
Review: I am new to baking, and bought the mat in hopes of improving my dough-making skills. Happy to report that the mat proved to be a useful, low-cost way of baking better goodies. The 16" x 26" version is a large enough surface for kneading dough, while still being small enough to fit in my small kitchen. Lightly flouring the silicone surface did a materially better job of preventing the dough from sticking, than using a large acrylic cutting board. The mat is thick enough that it should hold up well, and there were no marks or scratches from using a dough scraper to cut the dough. Clean-up was easy, with all the baking residue washing right off.My only (minor) criticism is that the mat does slip around, despite being marketed as non-slip. I did need to weight the corners of the mat to prevent it from slipping while I kneaded the dough. It was an easy enough fix.

Title: Wish I had bought this years ago.
Review: This silicone pastry mat is a total game-changer! Wish I'd bought it years ago. Makes rolling out dough so much easier - nothing sticks and the measurement guides are super helpful. Title: Stuff sticks.... makes a terrific baking mat though!
Review: I got this mat because I liked the BIG size. (At the same time I purchased a different brand of a smaller size for--no duh-- smaller projects.) I do like the big size. The mat does grip the counter so that it isn't shifting around all over the place. It is very easy to clean and even dries fairly quickly so it can go back into storage. What I DON'T like about it is stuff sticks to it. I thought I would be able to roll out pie, biscuit, or cookie dough without having to use handfuls of flour, but no such luck. Where there isn't enough flour under the dough this mat sticks even more than my old Tupperware mat did. (Updated review) AS A BAKING MAT: So, I first reviewed this mat after I'd tried it out in August 2021. Since then I hadn't used it often because it wasn't great for rolling out pie or cookie dough. A couple of days ago I pulled it out to decide what to do with it and discovered that folded in half it was almost the exact size I needed for my largest/favorite baking sheet. I used my rotary cutter to cut off a border and then cut the mat in half. Then I used a mat half to bake some chocolate chip cookies. The mat worked great! The cookies baked evenly and were easily scooped off the sheet with a metal spatula. Since it is somewhat tacky on the bottom, the mat doesn't slide off the pan like parchment paper tends to do. The mat has a nice thickness to it that allows me to -- now that I've cut it in half-- prepare one set of cookies on one mat while baking on the other (which wasn't as easily done on thin parchment paper). I'd already been considering purchasing a silicone baking mat, but was reluctant because I couldn't find the correct size for my baking pan. Now I have TWO the exact size I needed. Since I use copper grill and bake sheets for baking everything else, this (these) mat(s) will be used strictly for cookies.

Title: Bread mat
Review: I bought this mat because after putting so much into my sourdough, I didn’t want it to get dirty on the countertop. I would wipe them down but I would think about the possible chemicals my bread might still come in contact with, so I wanted something I could put my bread or other baking recipes on. I thought this might be flimsy but it feels like a good quality mat! Perfect for shaping your bread or any other baking needs that might require a mat. It washes easily and has measurements along with some helpful information.
