Fully prepared ready to use pizza sauce is a unique blend of spices and salt with added soybean and olive oils. It is prepared from tomatoes that have been washed and hand sorted for quality prior to grinding. The product is hot filled to ensure commercial sterility then cooled prior to stacking. This pizza sauce has a medium coarse finish that may contain seed particles.

Title: Great Sauce and Value
Review: Second time purchasing this sauce. Very tasty, nice and thick for adding to pizza, pasta, and casseroles. Also works nicely as a substitute for marinara sauce. It is also mild enough to add more seasonings if desired. It is very reasonably priced, especially when there are additional discounts or promos.

Title: Best pizza sauce around
Review: I bought this to bake lavash wraps As a low-calorie pizza option, but the sauce turned out to be perhaps the best ingredient overall. This is the only product that does not give me heartburn, yet the taste is flavorful enough to use as a dipping sauce As well. In fact, I use it as a low-calorie topping for my steamed mixed vegetables, and it gives it just enough flavor without overpowering. It’s quite versatile for use as a dip, spaghetti sauce, a pizza base, or a marinade, but the consistency of the product varies, sometimes viscous and sometimes less thick. Still, it evens out in the cooking. The most important thing is that the viscosity does not take away from the flavor. I do wish the quantity was not restricted to 10, however.

Title: Fresh tomato flavor, very good.
Review: I was surprised by the flavor. I tastes fresh, like something you'd make at home. It is lighter on spice than the grocery store variety, which I prefer. It is a little too chunky for my taste but it's not a deal breaker. I quick trip through the blender solved that problem. My only complaint is that it is too sweet but that is my feeling about most commercial sauces. I would buy this sauce again, especially at this price.

Title: Its instore brand pizza sauce...
Review: I dont understand what people expect from a dollar worth of Pizza Sauce... Its fine. Its not going win any awards or anything, its just fine. The taste leans towards a fresh tomato flavor. Its not bad. Id say it lands somewhere in the middle. Its not cheap tasting but its also not top of the line brand either. Its fine lol

Title: What happened?
Review: I was planning on leaving a full 5 stars because my first 2 purchases of this pizza sauce were wonderful and delicious!!! The texture and flavor were the best pizza sauce we have ever bought. But this newest order IS N0T anywhere near the same delicious sauce it was. I didn't even use it. I was so unhappy, but thankful I still had some of my previous orders still. This new batch is watery, chunky and you can't smell or taste the spices. It just smells like tomato sauce, not pizza sauce. I don't know if this change is purposeful but I sure hope you change it back. I was recommending it to my friends because of how wonderful it was and how affordable with the added benefit of its just the basic ingredients not extra junk that's in other sauces.

Title: Best pizza sauce ever!
Review: This pizza sauce is so flavorful. It nice and thick, not runny at all. Can’t beat the price either. Ordering more now. UPDATE!!!! Ordered this for the third time and the recipe must have changed, opened one tonight and it has the consistency of chopped tomatoes. There is NO flavors, spices or anything that would resemble pizza sauce. BRING BACK THE FORMER RECIPE! Not buying again. Ugh!

Title: This was once the best pizza sauce around, but no more!
Review: I first purchased this pizza sauce last year and wasn't expecting much for the price, but at under a dollar it was worth a try. WOW!!! What amazing stuff! Rich, thick consistency, perfectly seasoned...without a doubt the best store-bought pizza sauce I ever had, and what a bargain! I often make individual sized homemade pizzas, and even after making a pie what was left in the can filled the jar that I had saved from my last jar of Walmart sauce to the top. I hurriedly ordered more - I wanted a dozen, but the max allowable was 10, but no problem - I placed another order after that! Meanwhile I told all my friends and family whom I know make homemade pizza to get some of this absolutely fabulous sauce, and placed several more orders myself. Then came the crash. The recipe was changed. I opened a can, and instead of the thick, rich, wonderful sauce I had come to love, what the can contained was watery chopped tomato, with not even a hint of seasoning. Thinking this was a fluke, I opened a second can...then a third. All of them were a major disappointment; had the first can I purchased been like them I would never have gotten more.I still have a number of cans made from the original recipe and they're still in the carton they were shipped in so I know which they are, but I also have quite a few of the nasty ones. Not only do I now have to tell everyone I recommended this sauce to to not waste their money on it, but I don't know what to do with the watery tomato "sauce" - I don't even feel right donating them to a food pantry.I hate it when manufacturers take an excellent product and - to save money - totally ruin it. I'll never buy this again - it's back to Walmart or Ragu brand for me...or better yet, homemade!Edit to add: I see others have commented that the recipe is back to the original, and there must have been an error on Amazon's part where plain diced tomatoes were mislabeled as pizza sauce. Far be it from Amazon to contact customers to make things right! In any case, when I first purchased this sauce a few months ago it was 89 cents a can; as of today it's $1.69. No thanks Amazon - you can keep it.

Title: Very Nice and 'Clean'
Review: Really like this product, it has a clean tomato flavor, and herbs mixed in of course, but does not overtake the tomato flavor. I did add a bit more garlic powder since I, well, like garlic. It isn't watery or too thick. The product was packaged fine, was fresh and I have another ready to buy now. This time we will try it with the Amazon Ultra Thin Pizza crust. Money saver overall and less chemicals. The price is the best I've seen anywhere, and will also be trying it on pasta and Chicken Parm this time.

Customers say

Customers appreciate the value for money, quality, and consistency of the sauce. They mention it's great for the price, well-seasoned, and works well with quality cheese. However, some customers have reported that the sauce is too watery and leaves the pizza crust watery. They also dislike can damage and the tomato content. Opinions are mixed on the taste and thickness.
