Young people today, many of whom grew up in painfully dysfunctional homes, are waiting longer to get married, often out of fear of choosing the wrong partner. They want desperately to get it right the first time. Now singles can find help and hope in an excellent guide to relationships that will work and those that won't. Dr. H. Norman Wright provides simple, practical guidelines for identifying partners with positive potential for a loving, long-term relationship. Just as important, Wright shows how to avoid wasting time, money, and emotional energy on hopeless relationships with incurable negatives. Topics include compatibility, risk taking, infatuation versus love, the dangers of premarital sex, common relationship mistakes, and the characteristics of a godly, healthy relationship.

Title: A must read for singles and even married folks
Review: This book brought me back to reality. It reminded me of many do's and don't of personal relationships, whether romantic or business. The Myer's Briggs explanations were more thorough than I had ever read. It was one of the best books by Norman Wright. Every couple should read this together.

Title: This Book saves heartache!!!!
Review: So much of dating is light and fluffy and so much of life is hard and heavy. My wife and I read close to a dozen books before we were married and this book took our relationship deeper than the other 11 compbined. Dr. Wright hits the nail on the head over and over and gives the reader the opportunity to ask questions of their significant other that most would never think of asking until married and by then could be in for a terrible surprise. What I appreciated the most about this book is it provided my wife and I the chance to discuss very delicate topics without actually being in the middle of them. As a result we could discuss them dispassionately and openly. If you are seriously dating someone and considering engagement, READ THIS BOOK!

Title: Outstanding
Review: I just picked up this book to browse through it. I have been married for 25 years and I have children 18 and 21. I was interested in this book for them. I was very impressed with the content and how practical it is. In particular, he has one of the best descriptions of the difference between healthy and unhealthy relationships..."It's not a good sign"...things that occur in relationships that are missed unless you know to look for them (we see what we know to see). I also like his description of infatuation vs. love. "Infatuation could lead you to do things you might regret...Love won't".Highly recommended.
