Finding Your Tribe on the Road

“Be prepared for it to change you. For us it was an incredible change for the better, but we’ve met people who struggled with being in close quarters with their significant others. The experience is amazing. We are now more at peace than we have ever been, relaxed and in tune with ourselves, and well versed in many aspects of America and its people.”

Title: This guide is a roadmap to getting on the road full time!
Review: My husband and I have been part-time RV'ers for 7 years. Over those 7 years, we've put 30,000 miles on three RV's. (This is actually our 3rd RV and 21,600 of those miles has been on this one, over the past 4 years). We love RV'ing and experiencing the beauty of country. We love it so much, we plan is to go full time in about a year and a half. I'm a planner and I felt there was more to going full time than just jumping in the RV and leaving. I had a lot of questions and wasn't sure where to go for answers. So I turned to the internet.First ,I found the "RVLove blog". While I was on the blog, I was also having contact with Marc and Julie Bennet (the creators of the blog and this guide). They seemed to know what they were talking about. I felt I could trust what they were saying, based on what I already knew about RV'ing. They were very helpful answering my questions and suggested that I might like to take the course they developed, located on the blog. I did and I loved it! It was very informative and it went along with much of what I already knew about RV'ing. Once I knew that the Bennet's were coming out with a book, I got really excited. The book has even more information than the course. It's an easy read. It gives you a great starting point and answers all your questions. It tells you how to set yourself up for success on the road and how to choose the right RV. It helps you prepare emotionally for your new life, as well as how to stay connected with the life you leave behind. My favorites chapters are Chapter 2: Setting Yourself Up for Success (preparing and planning), Chapter 6: Living Fit and Healthy on the Road (Insurance and Safety), Chapter 8: Legally Speaking (determining domicile), and Chapter 9: Travel Destinations and Tip Planning (Tips, tools, resources.....I really love all of the resources!). The guide feels beautiful to the touch and the pictures are beautiful. I feel like I have all the answers to the questions I had. I would recommend this guide to anyone planning to RV full time. Once I started reading it, I didn't want to put it down. I was like a sponge! I have the pages marked with things I need to do to prepare for our full time life on the road!! Thanks Marc and Julie for putting this valuable resource together! You can tell you put your heart and soul into this guide! It's awesome! It's definitely something you should be proud of doing!

Title: Good information with much to think about.
Review: Whether you plan to travel for a short or long time, or have hopes of eventually living aboard, this book leads you through the many decisions and thought processes that you don't know you need to make yet. Gets you thinking about what to do with all your "stuff" and how to keep up with your mail service, etc. Helpful insight and life lessons revealed as well. Nice reading about an alternate lifestyle to consider if it makes sense for you and yours. Highly recommend when re-evaluating your future adventure plans.

Title: Contains almost everything you need to know about RVing
Review: My wife and I plan to go full-time RVing soon and I have been gathering information on the subject for almost two years now from all over the internet. I follow RVing blogs, YouTube RVers that are successful and educational, study forums on the subject, and basically read everything I can find about how to make this lifestyle successful. The authors of this book are one of the YouTube channels that I follow because they seem to be very informative and honest about their impressions of whatever subject they discuss on video or on their blog. So we went ahead and bought their book when it was released and my wife and I are very happy that we did. The level of helpful information is off the charts, it's super easy to read and follow, and the illustrations and pictures are very well done. In fact, one of the best things abut the book is that it basically verified many of the conclusions that I had come to by myself over the past couple of years that only came as a result of long hours of reading and study. So I can say with confidence that if you want to save yourself a lot of extra effort and time and still get the information about RVing that you want and need to know, just get this book. It is so worth the cost.

Title: Fully Rounded Book
Review: I have been following Marc and Julie (RVLove) since around 2013/2014, both on Facebook, and their blog, and most recently their RV Success school. This book is really well rounded, there is something in there for everyone, from which RV to buy, how to buy it and how to maintain it. it then goes onto living full time in your RV and how to manage that, what with health insurance and domicile issues. If you are not going to go full time though it doesn't mean this book isn't for you, there is just a wealth of knowledge that covers all aspects of RV-ing, like how to travel plan and where to stay. The book is really well laid out and easy to read. It is quite thick but only measures about 8"x10" so it won't take up much room for persons already living the RV lifestyleThe really wonderful part of this book is the photography of all the places Marc and Julie have been. It makes you go "Oh, look at that! I want to go there!"I really like this book, so pleased I purchased it

Title: Beginners Inspiration Only
Review: It’s a beautiful book. The information is pretty generic and high level. I thought it would break down specific information I needed, but it doesn’t do that at all. This is a great read or gift for someone just getting into RVing and looking for the most basic knowledge or inspiring stories. It was not worth my money.

Review: I’m so impressed with the amount of information that’s in this book covering all aspects of the RV lifestyle from practical to emotional considerations. It’s positive and inspiring but still realistic. Even though I’m looking at RVing in Australia and this is largely meant for a North American audience, much of the information is easily transferable to other continents. Highly recommended not just for the practical information but also for a lovely coffee table book.
