Title: A Reference Book MUST
Review: This book on retirement for single women is a MUST HAVE for your reference shelf. I'm semi-retired and single and I've found so many links and pieces of information in Ms. Cullinane's book I didn't even know I needed! I love to travel -- Jan Cullinane's book has a plethora of good ideas; I'm invested in stocks and funds -- Cullinane's book has salient info on what I should be doing at this time of life and where to go for further help; I'm considering going back to full-time work -- this book has all the checklists and charts I need to discern if that, in fact, is what I really want... In short, this easily read and referenced work is a great find for single women, backed up by facts and figures that will make your hair stand on end and actually make you get busy on planning your retirement. None too soon. I wish I had this book a few years ago. I heartily recommend "The Single Woman's Guide to Retirement" to all those approaching this important step in life. Kudos to Ms. Cullinane! Title: Endless Ideas
Review: I enjoyed reading this book and it's one I will return to over and over. I'm pretty resourceful when it comes to ideas but there really are endless ideas here. The other appreciation is to the 'single woman' part. It's too easy to feel like, in our singleness sometimes, we have fewer options; this book dispels those beliefs.Jan reminds us as women how much we are addicted to 'fun' and she speaks to it repeatedly in her suggestions. After reading this book, as a 'divorced again' single woman, I feel privileged at my freedom and encouraged to live the next chapter cramming as much fun into it as possible!more... I should add also that the more serious advice given as to investments, ongoing employment, etc. are also very helpful and the author is creative in her approach to suggestions of learning how to earn your way around the world, if travel is part of your passion.

Title: A wonderful book for all women thinking about the years ahead!
Review: As a retirement transition coach and expert myself, I read many retirement books. I think Jan Cullinane's "The Single Woman's Guide to Retirement" is a must- read for all women, whether single or married. It's packed full of stories, research and useful tips and resources for women. She combines helpful facts with practical guidance. It's a treasure trove of websites and other resources for women. She covers all of the important areas such as the timing of retirement, travel, lifestyle choices, living situations, finances, expectations, options and possibilities, relationships, endings and beginnings and how to navigate alone. Since most women at one time or another are or will be single by choice or life circumstance, it's a must-read for all women whether you're thinking about or already in your retirement transition years.Dorian Mintzer, Ph.D., BCC. Title: Read this book before it is too late!
Review: Wow, am I glad a friend recommended this book to me. I had read of one of Jan Cullinane's previous books on retirement, but this one spoke directly to me. I have already "paid it forward" by giving three of my single female friends a copy as gifts. I am now re-reading certain portions of the book because, at 62 and divorced, I am really honing in on what I want when I retire and how to get it. Jan Cullinane's book has been extremely helpful in clarifying my thinking as well as spurring me to think about concepts never before considered. I used to believe that retirement only meant: where do I live and how can I afford it? These two areas certainly are discussed in depth, helping me weigh many factors that affect single women that I had not even contemplated. However, I feel like Jan Cullinane is my LIFE COACH, because she addresses so many other things that are central to retirement, such as continued employment, volunteerism, making new social contacts if you move, travel, spirituality, even fascinating health tips (ever heard of "telomeres"?). And this book contains hundreds of helpful references and resources that will supply me with of hours of focused research on many topics as I refine my retirement plans. Better get this book NOW, single ladies, so you can fully plan for your retirement!

Title: Good information
Review: So far, I haven't come across a lot of information that I didn't already know, which accounts for the 4 stars instead of 5 stars. However, the information in this book is GOOD. It would be especially helpful for a single woman who is just starting to gather information or has only a little information about getting ready for retirement. (The earlier you know about all this, the better.) Also, the book gathers lots of information into one place, so even someone further along in planning for retirement could find the book useful, as I do. Also, it's from AARP, so you can count on the information's accuracy. It's well organized so that you can just skim through any sections that don't see, to apply to you. I bought the Kindle version, so I was able to highlight things that I want to be able to get back to quickly. This book is well worth your time and the cost.
