Title: This is the book for planning a Nat Park trip
Review: It includes all the information you need, want and a bunch of stuff you didn't even think of. It will help you realistically plan your trip, giving itinerary suggestions and what to do in each park if you have a few hours, a day, two days or a week.It takes out the guesswork and time spent researching each park on your own...but with the ever changing Covid situation you will still need to go to each park's individual website to find out what closings and restrictions are in order. A good idea even when there isn't a pandemic as there are regular closures of roads and services for a variety of reasons and they can significantly impact your trip.I strongly urge you to plan ahead, because campgrounds, lodges and tours fill up quickly and far ahead of time, but also don't lose hope. People cancel their reservations all the time and you may get lucky. Also, leave yourself some wiggle room, and assume that you are going to wish you had more time at the park. There is no one policy at the Parks for Covid closures, some have closed showers and laundry, others have them open. Some have campgrounds only using every other site, others are using all the sites and these conditions are in constant flow. Also, some parks have long lines waiting to get in and others are an open book where you'll have no trouble parking, or camping.Doing your homework and giving yourself plenty of time to plan and make reservations will pay off hugely in fewer headaches and more fun.

Title: A lot of information crammed in it!
Review: It's a thick book! They crammed a lot of information into it and still make it easy to travel with! I like how they add extra information about nearby towns (food, supplies, lodging) with each park and make it easier to plan trips and routes. Well organized and each park is sectioned into things to do, like hiking or scenic routes or other activities like biking and boating. It's also really helpful with pointing out kid-friendly activities and hikes for families. It's well-rounded and a great place to look when you start planning you vacation!

Title: Great guide to the national parks!
Review: This has been an invaluable guide to the national parks. I've actually bought two of the in different years for our road trips. It is great for finding the key sights, and also for lining up accommodations -- both lodges and camping. If you are doing a road trip and national parks are key destinations, this is a great book to have.

Title: This book has made my vacation-planning so much easier.
Review: The internet is a great tool for trip-planning, but this book does wonders. Great maps, solid photos, honest advice, helpful tips--this book has offered it to me time and time again when it comes to my annual camping trip to various western national parks. I've owned it for a few years, but while looking up information on Glacier National Park earlier today, I felt the need to log onto Amazon and leave a glowing--and long overdue-- positive review of this book. Love it!

Title: Purchased as a gift
Review: My sister asked for a national parks guide for Christmas, and after looking at a number of choices, I picked this one as the most likely to be useful because she lives in the western U.S. and is more likely to go to parks in this region. The details provided for each park are amazingly thorough, and the images have made ME want to go traveling more. Even within a ten-hour drive from where I grew up, I've discovered parks I never knew about before. The guide contains information about roads, hotels, camping, hiking trails, the best parts of the park, winter vs. summer openings. If you want one book to tell you what's out there, this is it.

Review: Beinhaltet alle Nationalpärke des US Westens. Leider sind die Pärke im Buch alphabetisch anstatt regional geordnet. Ansonsten eine sehr gute, wenn auch etwas grobe, Übersicht.
