Title: Deserves a good frame
Review: I want to preface this to say that I have bought THREE previous scratch off maps, all popular and with great reviews. I’m a little picky because I live on a small oft-overlooked island. One of the three prior maps I purchased had the island chain but not specifically named. When I stumbled across this map, I was intrigued by the advertised quality and the space at both the top and bottom where I could frame it without covering anything up. However, it was missing the islands I wanted to see! I emailed customer service to ask and received a very prompt reply saying that they would include that in the next edition and let me know when it came out. A few months later, I received an email from them with a link to the updated map, which I purchased. I did not receive a discount of any kind so that’s not why I’m writing this review. I’m writing it because, from customer service, to shipping, to product quality—this item is exceptional.Of my now 4 scratch-off maps I’ve purchased, this one is easily the best. It easy to scratch off with clear lines and text. The flags are also aligned well and do not look messy. The material—omg the material! It has a thick water-resistant quality to it so that when I was done scratching off the map and dusting off the gold flakes, I was able to WIPE IT DOWN with a damp cloth for a perfect finish. Couldn’t do that with the other three maps (though one advertised I could).My only tiny complaint is it didn’t come with a tool to scratch off the map with so I used a guitar pick, which worked well. I contacted customer service initially about that and they replied within hours to apologize for the error and to ask for my address to send one out. Didn’t need it after all, but I appreciated the quick reply.If I were to give any advice (besides buy this map!), it would be to frame it in an actual frame and not waste your money on a magnetic poster frame like I have. Title: Ok... real scoop on this map
Review: I have ordered plenty of maps over the years but this is the first "scratch off" type. I read the reviews, price shopped, and decided this one was the best probable option if your an adult... for the 1 star "hard to scratch off" folks out there... I'm sure there are some kids ones made like a lottery ticket you get. If you have an ounce of patience, can follow basic instructions that are given, and some common sense this map is pretty darn cool. Mine actually came with the cap/scratch tool missing (thanks to Amazon not the seller)... no problem, I got a small philips head screw driver and gently scraped it back and forth until it broke through the gold layer and gently worked around the state/country I wanted to clear. Takes a little time to get the borders perfect but it looks really good when it is done with a color fading shading that pops. I actually wasn't sure if your supposed to scrape off the outer gold border so I left mine in place and it looks really crisp... a little harder to do but worth it. I tested a full scrape on Gand Caymon because it was so small I couldn't get just the island... didn't look as good so my advice, leave the outter gold border if you can. If you've been to Antarctica I feel sorry for you, I'd hate to scrape off that whole piece, it would take me hours I'm guessin. The paper it is on is quite thick and held the roll shape pretty stubbornly, so I took the paper sheet it came with and carefully reverse rolled it back around the shipping tube for 10 min or so. Doing that got it flat enough to lay out on a hard surface (table) with a small book on each corner so I could start working on it. I saw one picture that someone posted saying it was too hard to scratch off... it looked like they had it on the bed and let their Kid go to town on it with a quarter... great way to wreck your map folks... don't be that guy/gal. I did find that the silver writing and black lines were a bit harder to get off so have a little extra patience on those parts and just scrape over them a few more times until you can feel that the stuff is dislodged. Wipe off the shavings often so you can see what you need to get as you go. The harder to remove black line do make getting crisp edges easier which is a side bonus.Summery: have patience, scrape side to side and don't dig into the paper, and take your time... and you'll have one cool looking map. Now I need to hit more countries because you get a good feel for how few places you've been once you start one of these... 😂

Title: THE masterpiece in my minimalistic home.
Review: I spent some time figuring out which map to purchase because I am really picky! There’s a lot available on Amazon. Most are just cheap-looking but overpriced Chinese copies of the original Luckies’ map. Many of these sellers also have fake reviews. Clearly written by the same person. Surprise?This map appeared to be much better than the original ones and I can confirm this is not just an impression. It is actually much more superior to all of the ones I’ve either skimmed through on Amazon or seen in real life. We travel a lot, but we live in a small place. We don’t have much stuff, but all that we have is the very best quality. Including this map: the European quality is quite evident.Extremely well done:US states and territories of all the big countries like Canada, Brazil, Russia, Australia, India, China, UK, etc. properly outlined.Country flags are clean, alphabetically organized and the outlines are drawn on the scratch layer. This makes it look real stylish.I’m happy you didn’t cheap out and made it large. Who needs a map on the wall where you can’t really see half of the countries because they are too small??Overall clean minimalistic design and attention to travel-important details. You guys rock!If I could make one suggestion it would be to add some art on the protective tissue paper that wraps the poster inside the tube while packed. It would just add even more character to this piece of art and a wow effect when opening up. Well, I’m weird. This is 100% worth the money. I actually feel that I got a real deal with this product as I truly believe it is underpriced for the quality. Thank you travelization - Yev and Lana

Review: Ooook so I am very very confused I thought these countries were suppose to be scratched and they would be colorful but so far no such luck.Also the flags do not have black outlines so the only way to know what the flag is is the name of the country written on the bottom.I was very excited but after seeing this I’m just.. sad.I was planning on this being a family thing and our family goal to go to as many countries as possible.I knoww it could be worse but I’m just sad it’s not as colorful and eye catching as it is displayed and described .ON THE BRIGHT SIDE THOUGH it is a very good size and is easily scratch able buttt The scratching object was not given with it.Thankfully we managed to do it with small objects.And it is generallyy pretty.WORD OF ADVICE just consider this might happen if your planning on buying this and don’t get your hopes up until u get the map.

Review: The product was not XL and it didnt match the specifications of size mentioned in the picture. I ordered a customized frame just for this and ended up having a too big frame since it came smaller than mentioned in the description and photo. CAnt return coz i need it urgently as a gift.
