Title: Well-done, but No Map, No Listing by State
Review: It's a LIST with brief well-written descriptions and very nice photos of most of the places, but I think every entry is deserving of a photo! I think for the last 100 places, the photos could be small, as well as use smaller headings for that section so we could still see what the place was like. I have that complaint about their World Version Top 500 too, but it had MAPS to orient you to it all. WHY NOT this version??!!I was extremely disappointed that NO MAP was included 🙁 In planning a trip, you need to see what's somewhat nearby to possibly include if anywhere near it! Also, an expanded or second INDEX should list the places included for each state. The Index lists page numbers for that, but I want to see things spelled out, like was done for the Nation Parks that were included.Overall, it's a nice armchair travel book, but I think I know why I got it on sale. Would not have bought if I saw in a store. But I'll keep it and hope for one day a response here with a link to the map...

Title: Itâs good for the coffee table.
Review: This is beautifully done but, not a good planner for a road trip. There no organization to the sites to visit. The quality of the writing, the photography and quality of the paper is fantastic.

Review: My brother is retiring in a couple of months and plans on spending a lot of his time traveling. I got this book as part of his Christmas present. The book is a great read. I'm sure he's going to find a lot of useful information when planning his excursions.
