What is God's very best plan? It's His plan for traditional marriage that is presented in the Bible! This adorable board book teaches children all about why God created traditional marriage and families and is the perfect read-aloud to introduce this important concept to early readers.

Title: A Lovely Picture Book
Review: A charming picture book teaching young children about God's beautiful plan for marriage. We loved the adorable, colorful illustrations and the simple message which lays out the heart of our God. The book does not go into detail regarding the Lord's plan for marriage, however this is understandable considering the target audience. It does lay a good foundation and sets the tone for further family discussion on the topic.

Title: Short and sweet
Review: This is such a sweet book! I love the illustrations and the cute rhyming. I could see this book for young kids, especially ones with family getting married. With all the conflicting messages from today's culture on marriage and family, this book is a great way to show how marriage is designed by God. Not very in-depth but good enough for preschool ages.

Title: Good idea, Not All Accurate or Best Representation of Biblical Truth
Review: I like the idea of informing children at a young age what a Biblical marriage is which I also think is the aim of this book. However there are some parts of the book I think are mistakes and can cause inaccurate depictions on Biblical truths. The first example is when the book discusses God creating the world, the book discusses different things God made however they are not in the order of the creation account. I realize the author may not have been aiming at this and it might not have been the best for rhyming, however being the "creation focus" of Master Books, I would have thought the author would aim to do this. The second example is the next page where it shows a family pulling fruit from trees. This implies Adam and Eve had children before they sinned. This picture makes it look like it was one big happy family (with children) before sin entered the world. That's what God wanted, but that's not what happened. The author should have simply had Adam and Eve together in Eden enjoying each other. The third example is when the book shows Jesus going to heaven. The author uses the words, "Wham! Bang! Shazam!" This is not necessary and almost advocates for magic which God is against. There is no magic in what Jesus did. It was miracles. In a world where so many people don't know the difference between miracles and magic, this should be made clear here and it's not. At the end of the book, it says, "It all starts with a groom and a bride...". This is true for Adam and Eve and yet the book didn't show this (based on other comment above). I think this book has a good idea to show what a Biblical marriage is however I think the book is dumbed down so much it makes mistakes that could plant seeds of confusion. I do not recommend it.

Title: An early reader with a big message, but lacking some truths.
Review: A board book meant to share with pre-school aged children. The Very Best Plan can easily be a first reader, with the clever use of rhyme and brightly colored illustrations it will surely grab the attention of the little ones. If you want to share an essential Biblical truth with your kids about Godâs plan for marriage and families, then this book is a good starting point. I will use it with caution though. There are some illustrations which could be confusing to kids, like Adam and Eve picking fruit with two children, sending the message that there were children in the Garden of Eden and they were one happy family. With the addition of a few phrases not Biblically accurate am I not convinced that the book is bringing across everything the publisher stands for. I will not use this book to introduce creation or Adam and Eveâs story to kids if they donât have a firm understanding of the accurate Biblical account of creation, Adam and Eve and the life and death of Jesus.
