Title: Great, but a little pricey.
Review: Kids love it. Makes a great nightlight and/or activity. A little pricey at $40. So dont let the kids break it too fast, its plastic.

Title: Cheaply made
Review: You’ll need a very small screwdriver. The buttons don’t always turn lights off.Comes with three small viewfinder-like wheels, but what’s seen isn’t labeled. You need to shine this on a close wall. It’s very fuzzy on the ceiling,I misplaced the small folder paper that might tell me what the heck I’m looking at.My very precocious three year old knows lots of planet trivia, but I can’t check accuracy

Title: A Cheap Novelty
Review: It is inexpensive and it shows in the construction, with a little patience it does work fine but I wouldn't expect it last long in the hands of a child. It is a bit noisy and battery life is poor, but the images are cool and it is nice tool to help spark an interest. For the price it is okay, but nothing great.

Title: Prefect for what I wanted it to do!
Review: I really liked how it was easy to put together, the timer goes for 15 mins which is perfect for my 3 year old son. He loves the earth that is pictured here. It has a focus to easily make the planet clear. It takes 4 AA batteries, which is great for moving it to whatever side of the room I want it on. The stars kindof generic but he loves when the rotate. This is the prefect gift for my autistic son that loves the solar system, we pick what planet he wants to look at every night.

Title: Cheap, poor quality, not worth the money.
Review: Disappointed. Quality is chinsey and the stars don't look realistic at all. The image slides look cool but against the poor quality stars it looks cheesy. It's battery only and had to insert tin foil between the battery and contacts to make it work. There are also large blue circles on the top of the unit that are lit up bright blue when on and are very distracting when trying to look at the stars in a dark room.

Title: Very good, not for long distances, and not so much picture disc..
Review: Really nice product, my childs are very happy. The only concern to me is: Exist a lot of space objects, trillions! and came with only 3 disc... I think this can be better.Other concern is: resolution is not good at 6 or more meters, too fuzzy. But, in overall rankig: It's HIGHLY recomended!! It's very very funny!

Customers say

Customers like the gift value of the science fundamentals kit. They mention it's an awesome toy and a fun gift for kids. However, some customers have reported that the product is not worth the price, has poor build quality, and a short battery life. Opinions are mixed on the image quality, ease of use, functionality, and brightness.
