Review: Pros: As you project the image onto your ceiling, the image does this very slow turn.I appreciate the image being a true photo of the event rather than just a bunch of organized dots on the wall.You get so many slides to put into the projector. A big variety. 12The colors of the rocket being lit up as a nightlight are beautiful and they change color.The projector itself is very light and easy to move and does not take up much space.Easy to use.Cons: Not manyThe only thing I can think of is, if you have a square ceiling, as most people do, it might bother you that the projected image is in a circle rather than a square but it doesn’t bother me because being in an old Victorian house, the ceiling isn’t exactly square And it actually works in my favor so I’m ok with it.Another thing - I’m not a child (well.. actually I am at heart and that’s why I bought this) but the rocket itself being a nightlight works great, It works too well. I often put a towel wrapped around the rocket just to dim/ cover the light. But for child or anyone who likes a nightlight, you will like this.

Title: Projected Image limitations
Review: Purchased for my little grandson, my daughter tells me he loves to sit up in bed and watch the image move across his bedroom ceiling (Image rotates).I ordered the same projector for my other grandkids & tried it at home, right away I noticed the image projection appears one-dimensional when compared with other star projectors I've purchased from amazon like the Mooyran Star Projector ( Pink Spaceman)Projector lens projects a flat screen image the rotates but does not envelope the room like other similar projectors.The images on the discs are ok for a child, but if your looking for something vibrant & detailed this might not be for you. The celestial images appear grainy or poor picture quality even after focusing the image.The "Mooyran Star Projector" I mentioned earlier has image rotation, covers the ceiling and half way down the 4 walls when positioned properly, and the colors and projection are more vibrant but only has 2-3 scenes to select from. This is still good choice for the kids room night light or Xmas time decorations.

Review: This is a somewhat decent LED projector with astronomy/galaxy slides and it does seem reasonably well-constructed (but not necessarily well-designed in my mind) and for the most part works as expected without [much] issues; however, the focus gear/knob is not easy to work with and at best barely passable as a function (and a critical one at that). Having said that, this is without a doubt a great way to get the little ones engaged with astronomy/cosmology (or at least science in general).The light is for the most part clear and of high quality; however, it doesn't have speaker that some others have. In addition, it offers not Bluetooth connectivity, well, probably due to the fact that it has no speaker to begin with. With that being said, BT connectivity along with a speaker aren't necessarily required although some others do have it and this one does not.Note that this differs from the older galaxy/aurora projectors in that this requires you to manually change the slides to the one you wanna see similar to those slide projectors in the 70's and prior. It's also quite similar to the 35mm slide viewer that's somewhat popular nowadays except this one projects the image onto a surface whereas the viewer displays the image usually on a small built-in screen etc. The bottom line is simply this; someone needs to manually take the slide out, pick the one they want, and insert it back into the projector. This seems fine at first but I'd admit that it gets tedious REALLY fast.It comes with 12x slides in 2 boxes and another one in the projector so there are 13 in total. It must be powered by USB-C and draw about 0.3A max so this can be powered by ordinary USB ports on computers (e.g. 0.5A max for USB 2.0 ports and 0.9A max for USB 3.0 ports). It has various timer settings which I do appreciate and indeed very helpful. It also has a rotate function where the slide would rotate clockwise if turned on. There are 2 speeds at which it can rotate but the difference is minute (or perhaps mine is defective). Lastly, there is also a button for selecting (9 or so to choose from)) and turning on/off the color for the little rocket that the astronaut stands on.Unfortunately, I don't find it particularly easy (and that's an understatement btw) to adjust the focus via the gear/knob at the front. It simply lacks sufficient grip that makes fine tuning (of the focus) very difficult if not impossible. The entire projector isn't heavy (and we certainly don't want it to be) at all and the focus relies on the precise distance between the LED lamp and the projected surface.As such, the projector often gets moved around during the focus adjustment which makes the entire experience a frustrating one at best. Lastly, different parts of the displayed image (e.g. top vs. bottom) can NOT be focused simultaneously and the left part of the image becomes blurry when the right is focused. Talk about frustration and aggravation (and I digress, you get my point).≡ ValueAll things considered, this is a somewhat decent slide projector that's reasonably well-constructed and for the most part works as expected without much issue; however, I find it difficult (or at least NOT easy) to make focus adjustment and not all parts of the displayed image are or can be focused simultaneously which is a bit of a bummer to say the least. It's a bit pricey at $56 for what it provides and its overall build quality, features, usability, and performance. Your mileage might vary.
