Title: No more mystery crap in microwave bags!!
Review: My husband loves his Whirly Pop ... and it does make good popcorn ... but it requires you to stand over the stove and spin the handle. It works great for him because he will eat that popcorn for DAYS, no matter how stale it gets.Me? I'd rather have a much smaller servings that are hot and fresh ... but I really don't like the bags of microwave popcorn that you can buy in the grocery store. The fat in them never tastes fresh, and it's impossible to pop all of the kernels. My new microwave popper solves that problem. I can use fresh kernels and real butter ... and make myself a nice bowl for a snack. The lid measures out the kernels, AND melts your butter for you as your corn pops! It's quick! It's easy. And it cleans up in the dishwasher. What more do you need? ð

Title: Decent Microwave Popcorn Maker, But Be Prepared for a Messy Cleanup!
Review: Itâs Good for What It IsâBut Donât Expect Stove-Top Perfection! Letâs be real, itâs a microwave popcorn maker, so no, itâs not replacing your classic on-the-stove version anytime soon. It gets the job done, though, and the popcorn tastes decent. The butter dripper on top is a clever idea, but oh boy, the cleanup is a chore. You pretty much have to wash this thing out after every single use, which isnât ideal if youâre trying to make popcorn for more than one person.Sure, you could just keep popping multiple batches without cleaning, but letâs be honest, thatâs probably not going to taste great with all the leftover gunk building up. Bottom line: it works, but be ready for some extra scrubbing!

Title: Best Microwave Cookware I Own!
Review: Just bought a new microwave and decided to treat us to one of these poppers! Best thing everâ¦â¦it is easy to clean in the dishwasher - both container and lid. The plastic handle makes it safe to hold after it comes out of the microwave, but have a potholder on hand just in case! The glass is very hot!! This is even better tasting than the microwave popcorn bags or air poppers. If you like it with butter, the butter melts right from the lid down into the popper so there is no clean-up mess in the microwave! The butter also disperses really well so popcorn is lightly buttered without any soggy patches of popcorn. Have done 2 batches and no burnt popcorn along with very few âold maidâ kernels in the bottom. Good directions and suggestions included with this purchase. Easy cleanup with placing the lid and container in the dishwasher (top rack). Will be purchasing these in different colors as Christmas gifts for family!!

Title: Itâs all about the popcorn!
Review: We use âmushroomâ popcorn. The name indicates the SIZE of the kernel not where it came from. Our microwave is a cheaper type of unit. 1100 watts and MOST IMPORTANTLY has a rotating platter. I mention that because so many reviews are negative in the use of this popper.I have now used this new popper almost two dozen times and it has performed incredibly well. Each time I use it I get the same wonderful popping experience that I did before. I do understand the negative reviews and may even agree with a bunch of them. Here is what Iâm doing every time I make a pot of corn.1. When using Mushroom Popcorn I allow the kernels to almost cover the bottom of the pot.2. I always put a good chunk of a stick of butter (3-4 Tbs.) in the lid and then I salt the heck out of the butter.3. I set the microwave for 3 minutes and I stand by until the popping slows to one pop every 2 seconds. NEVER STOP THE PROCESS!We have NEVER had a bad batch of popcorn. It always looks like I put too much butter and salt on top of the lid but it has always been perfect. Excess butter and salt is distributed on the insides of the globe and if you decide that you want more salt on your popcorn then all you have to do is to swirl the popcorn inside of the globe. Soooo Yummy!Last but not least! DO NOT clean by placing into a dishwasher. HAND WASH ONLY! Putting the popper in the dishwasher could allow other dishes to touch the globe and the pressure of the water in the dishwasher is powerful enough to just vibrate the popper against the pegs of the washer racks, causing the delicate glass rim of popper to crack and chip. The popper is delicate and should be handled in that way. Carefully.I am NOT disappointed in this little popper and with a little attention paid to the delicacy of my popper I expect it to last for a long long time.NOTE: Itâs been almost a year since the purchase. We continue to use the heck out of it. Average use has been 2-3 times a week or more since we received it. (We love popcorn) As of today 8-12-22 the popper is in good of as when new. Never have popped a bad batch of corn yet. We LOVE this popper.2nd NOTE. Now at 3 years old and we still use it quite often and as of today it works as good as it did when brand new. I have noticed a tiny bit of fracturing around the plastic handle area due to repeated use. The unit does get really hot during the popping part and consequently is starting to show signs of cracking BUT ONLY on the plastic surfaces. The minor cracks do not weaken the unit or effect its popping. Iâm just a little extra careful about grabbing it out of the microwave so quickly, by just the handle. I now use the handle and I also support the entire thing with a dish towel when removing it from the microwave. Even if the handle were to break off, I would still be able to use the popper, just with a potholder or something similar. Iâm pretty stoked about this popper. ALWAYS PERFECTLY POPPED.Update September 28, 2024We are still using our popper as much as we did when we purchased it back in 2021. It has stood up to the test of time as far as Iâm concerned. On my last update I mentioned the cracking of the plastic on the handle. Well, it is doing fine and apparently the micro-cracks have not weakened the plastic and are not getting any worse so I am very happy about that but as always, I like to handle the popper gently just to be safe.I have always placed a big chunk of butter on the top of the lid and then salted the heck out of it before putting it into the microwave. A little tipâ¦â¦ I use only stick butter from the fridge (cold). I donât get the same results from using the butter in the tubs. I have had some crappy results with popping corn BUT the results were a direct result of trying a different kind of popcorn. My wife purchased a few different types and brands of corn. One type of corn (I canât remember the name) would just lay in the bottom of the popper and burn with possibly 1% popped. However, that same corn did fantastic in a pot on the stove (98%) popped but then we tried it in our air-popper and it produced approximately 70% popped. Another type of popcorn she bought produced a lousy (20% this popper), (50% stovetop), (90% Air Popped). And another brand of popcorn she bought produced fairly similar results with each of the methods I mentioned above. So in conclusion I find that it isnât so much a (popper) problem that yields more popped kernels but the actual corn that makes the big difference. We still have our century old 1000 watt turntable style microwave so it isnât the oven that changes. Itâs pretty clear to me that the âmagicâ is in the kernel not the popper. So if you are experiencing problems with your popper not popping the corn then before you blame the device try and use a different brand of kernel. After all this writing about popcorn and butter and poppers, I am wanting some popcorn RIGHT NOW! I hope this update will help some of you guys with your popper. One last tip; Do as I did and spend some time reading about what popcorn really is and learn from the experts that grow it and make a living doing it. There is an endless stream of information on popcorn available. I actually learned a lot and now that I am aware of just why certain popcorn reacts differently to the various methods of popping it. I learned the proper ways to store it and now understand the differences in water content in the kernels and how that affects the speed, size and texture of the popped kernels. A dry kernel will not pop. Popcorn requires moisture content in each kernel. Itâs the moisture that turns into steam inside the kernel that causes it to explode into the popcorn we all love. So check out the world of popcorn and see for yourself. The industry of popcorn is much larger than I ever expected. Learning about popcorn has pretty much eliminated any bad popping experience that we used to get even before purchasing this popper years ago. I expect that this popper will continue to make popcorn for us for quite a long time yet.

Review: I love using this for a popcorn snack! It is small so if you want to share popcorn you may need to make more than one batch. You can put it in the dishwasher but on the outside between the plastic and glass it doesn't get clean and need to hand wash that part, which is the only downside of this product. Makes delicious popcorn and making your own popcorn at home is a good healthy snack!

Enfim, amei!kk
