Title: Garbage!
Review: This portable "A/C" was a total waste of money. Taking it out of the box was simple and not a lot to put together at all. It was for my kids very small room. The control panel was self explanatory and easy to use. We plugged it in and was excited to cool the room because we looked at the reviews and saw positive reviews. It comes with a couple reusable ice packs and a "filter" in it already. We used the ice packs first and they didn't stay cold but maybe 30 minutes. So we went a bought ice and put it into the water/ice compartment on the back bottom of the unit and it worked a little better but still didn't cool the room at all. So we filled the compartment with just ice and a dash of water. It worked a little better but again to no avail the room didn't cool off. We put it in front of our kids bed to at least make it a little more comfortable. So we did that for about a month. We walk in one day after filling the compartment and there was water all over the floor and come to find out it had leaked all the water out, I dismissed it thinking I spilled it. So I fill it again with ice and a little water and again all on the floor. Nope it's garbage! It is not worth the money at all. If that is not a deal killer you can not remove the water compartment to clean it. So if water gets slimy you have to scoop it out with something else. Do yourself a favor keep looking! Made with cheap plastic and leaves you wanting cooler air even with this garbage it gives you no comfort.

Title: works wonders for california heat
Review: The four different modes (cooling, humidifying, fan, and sleep) offer versatility for various situations. I find myself using the cooling mode most often during the hot summer months, and it effectively lowers the temperature in my space without being too noisy. The humidifying function is a nice bonus, especially since the air can get quite dry when the AC is running constantly.I love the feature of the three adjustable wind speeds. The low setting is perfect for when I'm working and need a gentle breeze, while the high speed provides a more intense blast of cool air after a workout or on particularly sweltering days. The medium setting strikes a nice balance between the two.In terms of maintenance, the removable and washable filter makes upkeep super easy.Pros:- Versatile with four different modes- Three adjustable wind speeds for customized cooling- Compact and portable design- Easy to maintain with removable, washable filter- Relatively quiet operationCons:- The water tank capacity could be larger for extended use- May not be powerful enough to cool very large spacesOverall, I'm extremely satisfied with my purchase of this portable air conditioner. Perfect for super hot days. As someone who lives in southern California, this is pretty much a lifesaver.

Title: Nice idea - terrible implementation
Review: I was skeptical about evaporative cooling systems, the idea works but need to have very good design. Giving all good review this unit has I decided to give it a try and long story short - it does not work, even with ice cold water - It is huge, expensive fan.The problem with this unit - it's design, in order to cool your air thru evaporation is to have HUGE area of evaporation. And this unit just does not have it - it uses tiny 0.5 inch thick paper like mesh which is not even watered property (1/3 stayed dry even after few hours). So given this design it cant cool your room at all ... 79F in, 78.5-78.9F out. I have put ice cold water (ton of ice cubes) in it and got ... 0.1-0.5F difference.So I would give 5 star for external design (it really looks cool), and 0 star for it's function and internal components (it is just blower with cloth/paper mesh and small water pump).I think you can do better if you put wet towel submerged in water in front of regular fan.

Review: I bought this unit because we are going through a heat wave. I was hoping that it would help cool the area a bit. Unless you are sitting 2-3 feet away, it's worthless. I used ice cold water and 2 of the ice packs and at best it was cool air but not cold. I would not recommend buying this unit.

Title: Glorified Tower Fan, not worth the price tag
Review: I'm just being honest here. I weigh reviews very high buying something here so I WAS excited before this came. I'm in a 1 bed apartment, wanted something a little more than a fan but not quite a window ac the way the setup is. I found this and it's description and figured the $150 price tag would be worth it....and I was wrong. It is light as a feather comes in 1 piece which is nice. So I set it up and skimmed the instructions to see what I'm dealing with. Wasn't sure about the ice packs that come with it and how it effects the actual ac end of it. You apparently can use them OR cold water. 2 notes: 1) not to operate ac without water and 2) make sure it has enough. Both obvious but helpful. I just don't see the full benefit. Ran it on fan mode a little while the. First night filled up the tank it says to put the water. I don't get any colder air on any setting that is different from fan mode. I probably will keep it since I threw the box away already. Just not worth the price. Pretty much a 150 dollar tower fan

Title: Not an air conditioner!!
Review: This is not a portable air conditioner. You literally put ice packs in water and a fan blows out cold air. You will only feel it if you are sitting by it. And then your lucky of it last an hour. Also it is very loud! I thought something was broken in it. Scared my daughter’s cat. Spend the little extra to get a real portable air conditioner. Or you will be out $150 for junk!!😡
