Title: It's just a fan.
Review: This FAN works as well as any other fan. If you're looking for air conditioner, this is not it. I don't know what the other reviews are talking about, it will not cool down a room of any size. It works best if it's pointed directly at you. The water and ice makes absolutely no difference. It works perfectly fine as a fan. But if you think you're going to cool down a room, it's not going to happen. I have a small bedroom 10x14, and it doesn't cool the room down at all. The first use, I filled the tank with water,I put the ice packs in it, turned it on the highest level, closed the door and thought I would come back to a room that felt cool, I wasn't expecting arctic, just cool. I walked in and felt nothing.

Title: Works pretty well
Review: Unfortunately I'm living in a rental house that was built in the late 90s and never updated. I live in the suburbs of Las Vegas and needless to say the summers are HOT!!! The windows were never replaced and are drafty. In the winter it's cold and in the summer it's hot. The worst area is the family room which faces West and has a big sliding glass door. Walking over to that side of the room it's instantly 10 - 15 degrees warmer. This remote air conditioner did a good job of cooling down that half of the room when the temps outside were up to 110 degrees. It does its job.

Title: Almost Caused a Fire
Review: I would give zero stars if I could. I’ve had this product for over 2 months and it did as good a job as it could with ice water and fighting over 100 degree days.However, a huge drawback is one I discovered tonight. The water collects in the pads and in my case traveled down the cord to where it was plugged in. It made my whole house flicker and I heard a huge electrical noise that I’ve only ever heard in cartoons before. My entire power strip was wet and the other plugs I had connected to it were wet as well.I will be contacting the manufacturer for this duct and informing them of this safety issue. I’m also gonna try for a refund. This is unacceptable.

Title: Overpriced fan
Review: It’s a nice fan. Pushes out coolish air and it’s quite. Calling it a swamp cooler is way too big of stretch. My 25$ oscillating fan works better and pushes out much cooler air. The remote control is nice because the touch screen doesn’t always work. If you are looking for something to cool off a big room keep searching elsewhere and save your money

Title: Not for serious heat relief
Review: I purchased this portable AC hoping it would help beat back some of this central TX heat. I have a screened in back porch where I wanted to use this, but it just doesn't do anything more than my much cheaper floor fan is already doing.For starters, this thing is MUCH smaller than I was expecting. My bad for not paying more attention to the specs. I still had hopes that the water/ice cooling feature would help. Well, it didn't. Even sitting directly in front of the unit within 2-3 ft, the addition of water and ice made no difference that I could tell. I even took my thermometer off the wall and held it in front of the AC to get before/after temps. MAYBE a 1 degree difference.Besides no impact on temp, this is very cheap plastic. The attached pictures show the bottom water container. 1st picture is with water and the well pushed all the way in and locked. The plastic end piece bends in slightly so that as the water flows thru, it actually falls back towards the well but misses, created a leak on the concrete floor. 2nd picture shows the well pushed in and locked but then nudged outward to close the gap to prevent leaking. It works but leaves open gaps for bugs and debris to potentially get into the water well.Lastly, this device is loud. Given the size, I expected it to be no louder than the floor fan I was going to replace, but it's much louder. And when you turn the 'cooling' feature on, it almost sounds like a tiny person is taking a shower in there.Perhaps this appliance would work better in an area not quite as hot/humid than where I am, or if the space to cool is smaller than my ~330 sf screened in porch, but just not gonna work for me. This will be returned and hopefully replaced with a more substantial (and I'm sure more expensive) swamp cooler.

Title: Almost freezes me out of my bedroom
Review: My bedroom is always hot in the summer time (thanks to a drafty sliding glass door), so I decided to try this unit out & I’m glad I did. It almost freezes me out of my bedroom, granted it’s only been in the 80’s since I got it. I’m waiting for another 100 plus day to see how well it works then, but as for now, I’m happy it keeps my room cold, when I always had to have a box fan running 24/7 before I got this swamp cooler & it was still too warm for me. A+++

Title: Save your money
Review: This was my first ever air conditioner unit and, it turned out be to a huge disappointment. One button did not work, and air was coming out from one side only. Cool air did not last, and I had to be directly in front of it to feel anything. Air only reached up to my hip, and it does not cool a room. I got more relief from my fan than from this unit. Sorry, but I returned it.

Title: It’s decent.
Review: I feel like all of the 5 star reviews are for the people that were sent a free unit and had to give it 5 stars. This will be a 100% honest review. So far I like it. I would think it would blow much colder air but even without the ice packs, it does blow nice chill air. Don’t expect your room to turn into an icebox but it’s a quick solution to beat the heat. The water in the tank does last much longer than advertised, which is very good. I’m using it in a part of my apartment where the sun hits the most and a window ac isn’t possible to install. So this is a good alternative. Again, don’t expect your room to turn into an icebox, but it still blows chill air. It’s a decent unit.
