Title: Great Cover for your Generator
Review: A small investment to protect your large investment. The cover itself is well made good thickness and stitching, Velcro in all the right places, The frame is a bit flimsy, but is easy to assemble and does the trick, think of it like a dome style camping tent. I recommend getting the see thru skirt attachment so that you can cover all the important parts of your generator, plus see the main board and power connections. This keeps the weather off of and out of your generator's main parts for a fraction of the cost. Remember YOU SHOULD NOT RUN A GENERATOR, WITH NO COVER IN ANY WET CONDIOTIONS AND YOU MOST CERTAINLY DO NOT RUN ONE IN ANY CLOSED CONDITIONS! The cover also gives your generator protection from the scorching sun. We were without power for a week (Beryl) and this cover kept my generator looking like it came out of the box!

Title: My first generator! This thing is GREAT!
Review: Bought this recently and love it! Seems fairly quiet for the size, but I would imagine a Honda inverter gen would be even quieter. Still, for $1,100 or so, this was a better value than a $4,000 Honda.Setting it up was fairly easy, but the instructions should have mentioned that you shouldn't break in the motor with a full synthetic oil. I know better, but I was in a hurry when I bought the oil and wasn't thinking. The gen comes with a funnel and hose, a very thoughtful touch. Also, the oil fill is super trick and has a wrap-around wire to hold it up when not in use. I had to buy a used baking pan at Goodwill to act as a drain pan. Four dollars, and I was good to go.Starting this thing up was a snap; the push button starter and battery were awesome, and the gen started fast. I plan on buying a float charger for the battery. When I did my first test run, it powered my whole house, minus the central AC compressor. I have a portable AC unit for my spray-foamed attic, and it ran that just fine. I also have two fridges; no problem with any of these things running at once. Even better, it was able to run the Mitsubishi mini split in the garage!!! It's a 12K BTU unit, FWIW, but I can't recall how many amps it uses. We could sleep in the garage if the portable AC unit isn't good enough. Also bought the Champion generator cover for rain use. It's a nice piece of kit and seems quite sturdy. The fabric seems marine-rated (I am not a sailor). If I had to nitpick, I wished the wheels were a bigger diameter so it would make traversing steps much easier. The gen has to live in my detached garage, and this means having to bring it up a number of hardscaped steps. I have wooden ramps for a snowblower and was able to haul it up to the sloped grass area, far easier than trying to haul it up six steps. At 185lbs and 5' 11", I'm fairly strong, but pulling this up the steps would have been a pain, and I would have worried about scraping the bottom of the tubular frame, thereby promoting corrosion.I hope this gen lasts for many years, but, based on the reviews, it should be good. Global warming, we're (sort of) ready for you!

Title: Built for Champion gens, but works fine with Sportsman GEN-7000-LP
Review: We often lose power during winter storms -- and that means rain and wind when a generator is needed (usually at least 3 times each winter). Studied specs on this cover and, from reviewer comments, thought it was more practical than other 'generic' covers with fiddly frame-to-dome connections, and so decided to see if it would work on our Sportsman LP-only 7000 watt unit. It fits very well. As shipped, the cover kit accommodates a variety of gen frame sizes so long as the frame is tubular metal (with tubes ~ 1.5" diameter or even a bit smaller) (Champion evidently sells adapter kits for square tubing and other variations). The instructions include a table for all installation settings to match a variety of generator sizes, which -- if followed -- in our case quickly produced a good, taut installation; the add-on skirt to protect the electrical panel is long enough to wrap around a corner and cover other potentially weather-vulnerable components. Good features: Cover can be quickly removed (when necessary) without fiddling with ties and snaps; clamps can be rotated on tubes to get them out of the way (if necessary) (correctly installed, they stick out at each end of the generator, but can be quickly repositioned to as not to protrude); cover, skirt and fiberglass pole 'dome' can be disassembled for compact storage. Because we use LP-only gens, we do not have to use a refueling port or flap, so there's no evaluation here of that function for this cover. The cover appears to be 'as described' -- stout enough for serious rain and even for fairly strong gusts of wind. It gets '4' rating solely because of the price and a wish that it could be lower.

Review: Havenât had a chance to put to use yet but seems like a great product. Easy to install. Sturdy material. Only downside I see is that it for the price it should have included a storage bag when not in use

Review: I found that it was not that difficult to assemble this cover. However, the mounting instructions for the clamps could have provided a little more information. It says for my generator to mount the clamps 9" from the bottom of the gas tank. It would have helped if it said 9 inches from the gas tank frame to the top of the clamp. I started out at 9"to the bottom of the clamp because it looked so low. It turns out that it should be 9 inches to the top of the clamp is what was needed.Otherwise it seems sturdy and should protect the generator from any weather that we face in the future.

Review: These work great and are made with quality material. After using mine in a hurricane last summer with no problems, I bought one as a gift for a friend who has the same generator. I wish they provided a small storage bag, but as for functionality, these storm covers are great! Can be pricey so wait for a good deal if you can.
