HOW TO USE THE ROASTING PAN?

A roasting pan is a large pan, often with a lid, that is used to roast meats in the oven. The pan can be made of stainless steel, aluminum, or other metals and have enamel or nonstick coatings. Roasting pans are available in a variety of sizes to suit different types of roasting. The key to properly using a roasting pan is to leave at least 2 inches of air space around the meat that you are roasting.

Fish

Preparing the fish is an easy and fast process. If you use a fillet with the skin, make sure to place the skin side on the bottom. You can add a foil on the bottom to prevent it from sticking.

Vegetables

Use your roasting pan to prepare potatoes, carrots, zucchini, and beetroot. Place them between the pieces of meat and let them soak all the taste from the dripping.

Another option is to make vegetables separately. Keep in mind that quality seasoning and added herbs will improve the taste of both meat and veggies. Make sure not to put too many pieces so they can roast evenly.

Butternut squashes

It will take approximately an hour to prepare them. The precise baking time will depend on the type of roasting. You can prepare squashes sliced in cubes or cut in two equal pieces. If you don’t want to make it brown, add a small amount of water in the pan.

Shepherd’s pie or lasagna

You can prepare these dishes in your roasting pan, especially if you expect many people at dinner. Don’t forget to remove the rack when making them. To ensure your meal from sticking, use parchment paper as for any other baking pans.

Review: I purchased this 13" roasting pan as a replacement for an enamel pan that finally wore out from longtime usage. This is a great size for a small whole chicken or two Cornish Hens. It's very easy to clean. However, it's lightweight compared to the pan I had to discard. Therefore, it may slide easily on the oven rack. Overall, it cooks very well.

Review: This cooker reminds me of my mom's cooker she had when growing up. Same design. Easy to clean. If you spay a little cooking spray on it before hand, then yes easy to clean. The dome lid fits on kinda loose which I find good when I'm cooking chicken. The lid slowly lets off some of the steam, but the chicken is still so juicy. I've had it for about a month and no problems. I bulk cook and I've put 8lbs of chicken breast and all come out great. Dishwasher Safe. Great Value for your hard earned money.

Title: 15lb Turkey DOES NOT FIT!!!!
Review: The lid doesn't fit over a 15lb turkey.I even tried body slammed the turkey and still wouldn't fit.The lid just sat about 1 inch above the turkey, so I ended up using foil.Also, and WORTH mentioning, the enamel coating is crap, in 4 places it has started chipping off and only after 1 use.You are better off with a cheap dollar tree foil turkey roasting pan instead of this over priced mess...Seriously, you might even better off, cause the foil roasting pan will most likely last longer than this.I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT AT ALL!!! What a disappointment.
