The Electric Rotato Peeler is Easy To Use

Center the food on the bottom food holder and press gently.Lower the upper food holder so that it grasps the food and holds it securely.Using the height adjustment level, raise the cutter arm so that is rests on top of food to be peeled.Turn ON the appliance by pressing on the red button. The skin peels off in one clean, continuous curl. The appliance will stop automatically when the cutter arm reaches the bottom.Lift upper food holder from food and raise it to the top of the support column.Grasp food and using a gentle back and forth rocking motion, remove food from bottom food holder pulling towards you.

Title: Better than expensive equivalents!
Review: Peeling potatoes, fruits and vegetables is an arduous task that nobody looks forward to. I purchased this device years ago and was absolutely amazed that it worked so well - to the extent that I ordered another and gifted it to a relative in another country. The device is simple - stick your fruit/vegetable into the pointy holder at the bottom, lower the upper holder, place the cutter on top and press the red button. Your food will be peeled in a uniform fashion and more often than not in a continuous string of peel making cleanup so much simpler than before (anyone remember cleaning starchy potato peels out of the sink? I do!). In fact, I typically place my peeler on the counter and guide the peel into a trash can on the floor so that as the peel is fed out gravity pushes it straight into the trash. A year or two after purchasing we got an expensive mixer and bought the peeler attachment. We don't have a large home so it made no sense to keep both. Assuming that the new (and much more expensive) peeler attachment would do a solid job we gifted our old peeler to a family member. Boy, was that a mistake. Not only was the mixer's peeler attachment a pain to set up, but it was far inferior to this wonderful little device. The peeler attachment would miss giant chunks of peel, required fruits/vegetables to be certain dimension to peel (the spring was not strong enough to peel thinner food) and was so inconsistent that we ended up buying this peeler for the THIRD time. This is a really handy device. If you don't enjoy peeling food (who does?) or have dexterity issues or any issues that make using a manual peeler difficult then don't think twice - this is the gadget for you! Highly recommend!

Title: Works Every Time
Review: My goodness, this thing works perfect. It peeled 12 potatoes in nothing flat and didn't jam once. Of course, I removed the blade every three potatoes to rinse it, so maybe that helped. I'm amazed and very pleased. As I've grown older my hands have developed a shake if I do too much with them and have cut my fingers trying to peel too many potatoes. This solved that problem right away. It could be improved a bit. I'd pay triple the amount if this were made out of stainless steel and the bottom spikes could be redesigned to make it easier to remove for cleaning. But otherwise, the darn thing is great. Well done to whoever designed it. I might buy a couple more just to store in case the 1st one breaks.

Title: Works well, but careful about the bottom holder
Review: This worked well for peeling 40lbs of potatoes for an upcoming family gathering. Be aware that the user manual gives instructions for removing the bottom holder with the multiple spikes for cleaning. What they don't tell you is that this holder is also holding a gear inside in place and it will drop making it so you can't just reinsert the holder after you clean it. The only way to fix this is to remove the 4 screws in the bottom of the peeler and reposition the gear while inserting the holder above.

Title: I Was Dumbfounded
Review: This thing is amazing. I may be a little simple but the first potato that I peeled with it I was laughing to myself. You can almost time it so that as one potato is peeling you're chopping the one before it. Literally only a few seconds difference, depending on the size of the potatoes. You only need to trim a tiny bit off from the top and bottom, as well as any bad spots obviously. Half of the time to get the potatoes done. I haven't tried it yet but I am thinking that repetitively running it on one potato could make making hashbrowns pretty easy too....just a thought. :)Who knew something so incredibly simple could bring me so much joy?
