Title: Want to Amp Up Your Meats and Sauces?
Review: I like to dabble in the kitchen. One of my recent discoveries has improved some of my dishes and sauces by adding that element that the Japanese call umami. That's not to say that Geo Watkins Mushroom Ketchup only enhances oriental dishes. It amplifies that certain flavor to almost any dish you care to try, whether it be Old World, oriental, or fusion. Just add a few tablespoons to any meat dish and sauces and you will be well pleased with the brilliant flavor it imparts.

Title: Definitely rebuying
Review: More vinegary than I had anticipated and the mushroom is more aftertaste, but it goes great with chicken and as a dip for fries and fried fish. Itâs also great as a marinade and seems to enhance the flavor of everything I put it on especially burgers. It is not the consistency of ketchup it is more watery, adding a nozzle or spout might help with pouring like some vinegars have. Glad I tried it and will continue to order.

Title: Good, but basically a more expensive Worcestershire sauce
Review: This is a pretty good condiment, the original ketchup, if you don't know what to expect, it's runny and more like Worcestershire sauce than tomato ketchup and used it much of the same way. It comes in a cool old-fashioned bottle. However, it doesn't really add mushroom flavor to your steak or anything like that, it's pretty much just a more expensive version of Worcestershire sauce for marinating. If you want to add some mushroom flavor then cook some freshly chopped mushrooms with your steak. I'd only recommend trying it at least once if you have money to spare.

Review: So looking for that, umami flavor that you cannot reach with all of these other things that are out there. These modern day, Umami things. Well, you need to reach back in time and check out. Mushroom ketchup, this is the O.G. Umami. The consistency is thin. I can use it in any soup stew soup whatever. I can use it as dashes on a stake if I want to umami ...this is the way to go. Beef, fish, chicken vegetables, you name it. A couple of drops of this is going to kick your umami flavor into high gear. It is so deep and concentrated is amazing.

Review: You don't need much in the dish, to make the flavour pop out. I bought this as an experiment and thought it was cheap at the time, and it is because the quality is amazing with not just one, but 2 bottles. The flavour has an earthy quality which you'd expect from Mushroom ketchup but reminds me of a cross between Soy sauce and Worcestershire sauce. Works well in all kinds of foods from Chinese cooking to Italian to good old fashioned shepherd's pie. Try it, it'll become a permanent feature in your kitchen cupboards.

Review: This stuff is amazing! Have been hunting everywhere for it. It was a must-have staple in every kitchen from the 1600âs to the victorians! I have a recipe to make it but this is just as good. Itâs salty but you lose that salty taste on the meats and just get a wonderful savoury yumminess! Itâs is great on meats of all kind - my favourite is beef. No spiciness just savoury goodness. Review: I love this stuff on most things.My Nan n grandad used to have it years ago, and me and my parents would love using it on our food.Itâs great on fry ups!There is no thickness to it, as itâs like a vinegar, rather than a sauce. This is why I put 1 out of 5 for thickness. It isnât a fault, this is how it should be.Value I gave it 3 out of 5. Because years ago when Nan used to buy it, it was £2 in shops. I have also found it in shops few years ago for £2.50.So itâs expensive compared to that, but this product is hard to get now, so justifies the price been more expensive.But... this price was the cheapest I could find on Amazon.
