Updated multiple times every year, America’s pregnancy bible answers all your questions.
When can I take an at-home a pregnancy test? How can I eat for two if I’m too queasy to eat for one? Can I keep up my spinning classes? Is fish safe to eat? And what’s this I hear about soft cheese? Can I work until I deliver? What are my rights on the job? I’m blotchy and broken out—where’s the glow? Should we do a gender reveal? What about a 4-D ultrasound? Will I know labor when I feel it?
Your pregnancy explained and your pregnant body demystified, head (what to do about those headaches) to feet (why they’re so swollen), back (how to stop it from aching) to front (why you can’t tell a baby by mom’s bump). Filled with must-have information, practical advice, realistic insight, easy-to-use tips, and lots of reassurance, you’ll also find the very latest on prenatal screenings, which medications are safe, and the most current birthing options—from water birth to gentle c-sections. Your pregnancy lifestyle gets equal attention, too: eating (including food trends) to coffee drinking, working out (and work) to sex, travel to beauty, skin care, and more. Have pregnancy symptoms? You will—and you’ll find solutions for them all. Expecting multiples? There’s a chapter for you. Expecting to become a dad? This book has you covered, too.

Review: I read and relied on this book when pregnant with my oldest on 1991. This book was my lifeline during a challenging, lonely and somewhat fearful time. I relied on it to answer so many questions, I read all sections over and over, day in and day out. I recently learned I was going to be a Grandmother for the first time and when thinking of a âgiftâ for my daughter, I thought back to what impacted my pregnancy and remembered this book!I purchased the latest edition and was so excited to share it with her.Unfortunately, this generation tends to use apps, links, Google, etc. for information and guidance, my hope was that my daughter would enjoy the experience of reading the âbookâ and relying on it as I did.I believe she has enjoyed it to a certain extent but by no means to the extent that I did.I was very pleased to hear that my Son in Law is enjoying it though! This book is truly a âgo toâ for anyone who like to âreadâ print rather than digital information. All good, Iâm going to be a Grandmother spring 2024 and that has me feeling absolutely blessed. Perhaps I will âreview and readâ the latest edition once baby is with us, will be so interesting to see the changes in âexpectationsâ that have occurred and transpired over the last 32 years! Purchase, purchase, purchase! Who knows, maybe there will be a power outage and the internet will be down for your pregnant loved one, in that case, I would want this book on my bedside table if it were me expecting.

Review: I bought this for my sister and my cousin when they told me they were expecting. My sister (who hates reading by the way) read each weekly entry in line with her pregnancy and thoroughly enjoyed the fact that she wasn't losing her mind! She calls it her pregnancy bible. It's worth every single penny.
