Title: An Impressively Improved Sleep Monitoring Device
Review: I'm an experienced user of the Wellue wristband-ring system and have been generally quite happy with its performance, but I'm pretty impressed by some of the design changes in Wellue's "02 Insight Ring." First, ease of use: the old system required attaching both the hard drive wristband (to your wrist) and then inserting the ring's chord into the wristband hard drive. The O2 Ring reduces that slightly cumbersome procedure to one step â simply slip on the ring! In other words, they've collapsed the ring and wristband into one device. This design change has more than a simplifying effect, I suspect. Perhaps more importantly, it reduces by half the wear at the critical hard drive connection. Anything that reduces the number of times you need to insert a USB-type connection is a good thing. Eventually, as anyone who works with computers knows, those kinds of connections are generally the first problem you encounter as the connection tends to grow weaker with use and usually at some point simply dies. The only connection you make now is from the O2 Ring to a charging device or your computer. I just hook it up to my computer and leave it attached to recharge from my computer, reducing the connection process further.Another design improvement is the display sensor. In the wristband-ring design, the wristband display of oxygen levels and pulse rate is motion-triggered: that is, a shake of your wrist will cause the display to light up. Not a bad thing, but that means the display is being constantly triggered as you move around at night. I'm not sure this causes wear and tear on the unit, but it surely shortens the battery life. The 02 Ring, however, isn't motion-sensitive: you need to "swipe" the ring surface to summon the display. Kind of like how you open an old Kindle. So you only see the display when you choose to.Yet another improvement I noticed was in the ring band itself. In the original wristband-ring configuration the elastic rubber ring has a tendency to wear and break at some point. In the 02 Ring model, the elastic rubber ring has been reinforced! Excellent preventative measure, in my opinion.Otherwise, the function remains the same. Just plug the O2 Ring into your computer or use a phone app (I use my computer) to get a reading on your night's sleep. It is totally compatible with the simple and nice function of the software. My computer already had the software from the wristband-ring model, and it worked perfectly with the new 02 Ring. I don't actually remember installing the software â other than that it was easy to do. The Ring's brightness, display, and other features can be adjusted to your taste (see manual). I have yet to read the manual; the Ring is so intuitive that I was able to easily use it right out of the box!Though I'm not a "medical professional," I've devoted considerable time into investigating methods of improving my health, and what's more basic to health than sleep? If you snore or wake up feeling headaches or fatigue, you owe it to yourself to monitor what your body does while you sleep. The Wellue system gives you a clear picture of your heart rate, blood oxygen levels, and motion throughout the night. It takes the guesswork out of how you slept. Large plunges in oxygen levels, for example, can spell major problems â and could lead, according to current medical lectures, to stroke and heart disease on top of just not feeling rested and ready to take on your day.I was able to greatly improve my sleep with the Wellue units when combining their information with oxygen therapy at night. For me, Wellue + oxygen concentration machine has made my nights enjoyable again, and I usually wake up feeling refreshed, my brain clear, and ready to take on the day. I wish the same for all of your who suffer from sleep issues.

Title: Great Computer and Smartphone Apps. Ez data retreival. Good reports.
Review: Great Computer and Smartphone Apps. My doctor loved the reports.>>> Computer App:- Connects via USB cable which is supplied. Easy data upload process.- Very good app with great reports.- Reports data for: O2, heart rate, and motion.- Sleep report provides a full-night summary on page one.- With more detailed 1-hour increments on the pages that follow.- Exports to a PDF, or as raw data to a spreadsheet (.cvs)>>> Smartphone App:- Connects via Bluetooth. Easy automatic data upload process.- Data summaries and same data views, just condensed for the phone.------------NOTES:- Battery life is rated at 16 hours. So charge daily.- Device is meant to only be worn while sleeping.- Too bulky for other times of day and not durable for all-day use.- Durability: Unknown, but seems to be ok.- Due to my hand size, wearing it on my left ring-finger. It is most comfortable there.NOTE: The USB Cable works only with the Ring, and other USB Cables did not work with it. The connector is large so there may be some circuitry in it specific to the ring.--------------- What I really wanted is a smart ring to wear all of the time:1) To monitor O2 levels (sleep apnea and narcolepsy issues)2) Mainly to monitor heart rate, whereas I have developed occasional tachycardia (non-rheumatic tricuspid valve insufficiency), and wanted to track incidents during the day as well as night.Condition may only bee over-caffeination, so drinking less coffee. Has not showed up on any sleep reports, nor have I noticed having it since using the ring.---------------- ALTERNATIVES:- I tried another ring (style and brand) designed to wear 24/7 and 3-day battery life, but their phone app didnât work, and there was no computer app, and non-existent instructions.- The other alternative is a Smart-Watch, but I was trying to avoid the bulkiness of a wrist device.------------

Title: Helps monitor lung issues
Review: We had an issue with band breaking but I never dealt with a company as easy to deal with as this one. We love the product on helping keeping track of my wife's O2 with her lung disease. With the alert, she knows when to sit and rest before it gets too low. I even took a printout into her doctor and he saw we needed to bump her O2 up 1 liter. Checking against their O2 sensor, it was within 2 but two of their units were also 2 apart. Like they say, the most accurate way is drawing blood so we are very pleased on what we are using it for. Great company and great product! I would gave it a five but think band needs to be a little stronger but wife says it's very comfortable to wear.
