He’s commitment phobic. She believes in happy endings. The twist of fate that binds them is a surprise they never saw coming in a bittersweet romance about instant family—and not-so-instant love.

A decade-old animosity is the only thing Liam Davies and Zoe Valentine have in common. Until their mutual best friends pass away and they’re appointed co-guardians of the trusting couple’s precocious toddler, Mira.

Liam is committed only to professional football. Relationship-wise, he’s even better at defense. Still wrestling with a tough childhood, he’s not cut out to be a father. Why his late best buddy believed in him, Liam has no idea.

An optimistic romantic, Zoe has always dreamed of a fairy-tale life. But even though Liam’s biceps make her dizzy and she can’t stop thinking about his lips on hers, he’s not exactly Prince Charming. With or without that brooding Brit, she is determined to make good on her friends’ last wish.

Forced into a predicament they never expected, Zoe and Liam are discovering things about each other that could scorch through boundaries, warm hearts, and change minds. And best of all, with their shared love for a pint-size surprise like Mira, they might just turn a house into a home.

Title: Amazing
Review: This was so amazing that I don’t even know how to begin in this review. There was so much heart, a lot of emotions, and quite a bit of humor. This made me laugh so much while Liam was trying to figure out how to take care of Mira, and just moments they had together were really fun, yet really sweet. I also teared up multiple times and cried especially the emotion scenes of Liam dealing with grief, seeing Liam have to see Mira’s grief and the moment when realized that Mira saw Zoe and Liam as her family that one really got me. It was just a whirlwind, but in a good and satisfying way. It gave me the feels that I was looking for.My favorite parts were when Liam became a big old marshmallow. It wasn’t only for Mira but Zoe. He fell hard for these two women. He would do anything for these two. It showed in every action that he did. It was sweet and tender and really meaningful things too. It touched my heart. It gave me all the warm and fuzzies. I fell in love with that man so much. Such an amazing hero he was.As for the romance, that was really amazing too. The build up of anticipation was phenomenal. There were great moments of tension. They had moments of banter and flirting as they bounced off of each other especially in the beginning. Those moments just added to the heated intensity between them. The level of pining and longing, especially for him, was just utterly incredible. It was so easy to see how in love they were. It was only all the more satisfying when they made love the first time that they were in love with tons of affection and intimacy to back that. It was great.

Title: A must read
Review: Most books don’t make me cry, but I found myself tearing up multiple times during this gem of a book. Karla weaves together a beautiful story about love and grief while being respectful of hard subjects without having it be TOO heavy. This book is sweet, funny, and heartwrenching all wrapped up in one.

Title: Slow burn enjoyment
Review: Normally I’m not one for books this slow, but this was perfect, just emotional enough to keep you completely invested. Spice level was low, but, I don’t think their story was meant to be overtly spicy. The character development was spot on and I loved the depth Karla put into their story. Was a good read!

Title: Beautiful outcome of a tragedy
Review: We briefly met the broody football player, Liam, in book 1 of this series. This book follows he and Zoe, our sunshine to his grump, as they navigate a parenthood they are thrust into together unexpectedly.Liam has so much emotional baggage from his past. He remains pretty detached in all his relationships. But he's had a crush on Zoe since the day they met. She was committed to another man though and thought Liam hated her. Because of their mutual friends, they saw each other often through the years.I loved seeing Liam's walls slowly come down. Mainly for little Mira but also Zoe. The slow build of both relationships was beautiful. Mira was adorable even in her hard circumstance. The sexual tension between Liam and Zoe was delicious. Karla did such a good job through those scenes! The kitchen scene 😍Karla's writing was dang near poetic on several occasions. We spend a lot of time in the character's thoughts but they were flowy and intriguing.

Title: Zoe and Liam
Review: The Best of All by Karla Sorensen is a slow, and I mean slow, burn. I usually prefer a medium sizzle, but this one was done so well I didn’t mind at all. It’s my first Karla Sorensen book, and wow—I might have cried more than once. Brace yourselves for this heartwarming, instant family story that’ll hit you right in the feels. And that ending? Super sweet. The banter, chemistry, and tension in this book are —*chef’s kiss*. It hooked me with its emotional portrayal of grief and mourning, all beautifully intertwined with a heartwarming exploration of found family. What really stood out was the clever balance of humor and sadness as the story navigates the chaos of caring for a high-maintenance toddler. When their best friends pass away, Zoe and Liam are thrust into co-parenting their daughter, forcing them to reconcile years of mutual dislike. I loved how their romance simmered slowly, a perfect contrast to the intensity of their past conflicts. Zoe admirably steps up, putting her feelings toward Liam aside to honor their friends' wishes, while Liam struggles to take action, trapped in his grief and anger. Watching Liam transform from a grumpy, emotionally distant guy into someone who genuinely cares for Zoe and Mira was a highlight for me. And sweet little Mira? She’s the heart of this story, playing a pivotal role in their love story and helping them grow closer as a family. This book was just wow! I absolutely recommend this book. What to Expect:••» Sports Romance••» Grumpy x Sunshine••» Hate to Love••» Co-Guardianship••» Forced Proximity••» Slow Burn Thank you to the author, Karla Sorensen, and The Author Agency team for the ARC opportunity!

Review: Loved the narration of this one. Liam was the perfect cinnamon roll hero and the story was just too heart warming for its own good. Tears and sadness to start and then HEA afterwards.

Title: Beautiful Rom-com Easily Recomended
Review: Well written rom-com which I could read again. Mentioned in their best friends will these two protagonists start off badly bringing up their little girl. But as time goes on they get closer and closer. Karla Sorensen can write a love story with steamy sex scenes without once using the usual words in these books. I can recommend this rom-com wholeheartedly.

Review: This was so great! Professional football star from the UK and an accountant acquaintance inherit custody of a 2 1/2 year old little girl after the tragic deaths of their best friends. The scene where the H and the little girl share their grief had me in tears; the portrayal of the child’s grief was age-appropriate and so touching. The romance was also well-written; I really believed the H and had a magnetic pull that was acknowledged gradually and in such a believable way. Together the beautiful three-some forged a family unit that brought out the best in each of them. Just *chef’s kiss* perfection!

Review: This book gave me all the feels! I loved all the scenes with Liam & Zoe taking care of Mira. Liam was a grump and I kind of resented him in the begging but he made good progress. I could understand him better as the chapters flew by and to see him being soft with Mira since the very beginning was so enjoyable! Zoe was so sweet and kind and she deserved her fairytale ending. I was happy that she found her family in both Liam and Mira. The chemistry between them was good and the slow burn was delicious but I just wish that we got to see more of them as a couple. Overall the plot was solid and the book made me feel sad at times but the happy and adorable moments made up for it! So it was definitely worth the time.
