Title: Super at Opening the Tightest Jar Lids!
Review: Update: After several months, I love this jar opener and highly recommend it! It works great and is super useful, especially after my recent shoulder surgery while my arm is in a sling and can't be used. I can operate this opener one-handed and it easily opens large jars and small bottles as shown in the attached video. (It took 45 seconds total to open the bottle in the video once I aligned and pushed the start button on the opener - the video shows the main 30 seconds. Also note that once the start button is pushed, you don’t need to hold the button down as it will work on its own.)Original Review:I have only used this Elite Gourmet jar opener a few times but I am very impressed at how easily it opens even the most stubborn jar lids. I usually use a V-shaped manual jar opener but arthritis in my thumbs is making it harder for me to use that opener successfully. Last night neither my husband nor I could open a jar of spaghetti sauce with the V-shaped opener but this Elite Gourmet jar opener easily opened it! This battery operated jar opener is easy to use. You put the battery operated device over the lid of the jar and push the button to activate the opener so it starts to squeeze shut, automatically adjusting to the size of the jar. It continues to squeeze until the jar lid pops open, like magic! I would definitely purchase this jar opener again. I do wish it were less bulky but it is engineered to work efficiently for a variety of jar sizes. Due to its odd shape I am storing it in its original box.

Review: Sadly to say I'm at that age when opening jars has become impossible, but I guess it happens to all of us. The item arrived timely and well packaged. Tried it right away and WOW!!! my jar was opened in just a few seconds! Nice size to fit in a kitchen drawer and I really like how it automatically adjusts itself to the size of the jar. Wish I had this a few years ago, so if your like me and find it difficult to open jars, don't wait, this is just what you need.

Title: It twisted itself apart on the first lid!
Review: I bought this because of a few stubborn lids that even hot water didn't get loose. I installed 2 AA batteries and put it on the quart regular mouth mason jar and held the start button 3 seconds as per instructions. It was great, after clamping down on the lid the rubber foot slipped and tried to tighten further denting the lid. There's no stop button or emergency release so I just watched it do its thing. After it was done both of the rubber pads for the lid had cracks in them. I ran it again and one of the bottom feet snapped off. I popped it back on and tried again. Now both of the lid clamps are split and the foots popped off and the jar is still closed. Jar #2 it actually opened. I tried it on my other stuck lid and the thing clamped down and literally twisted itself in two with one of the lower clamps breaking completely off and by this time I'm loving it. That thing tried its best and if it couldn't get those lids off they really were stuck. I will say that it got both of those lids loose enough while breaking itself that I was able to open them by hand. Since jar #1 was pure essential oil of Sandalwood it was worth the time to buy, watch it break itself and returning it. There's no safety features and no stop button or release. If this got stuck on a wrist it would be bad. Cheap plastic and a strong motor. I'll try to add photos after I upload them.

Title: Hard to get right
Review: I wanted to love list so much because my hands are not strong enough to open mini jars. It is a little strange because you have to put it on top of the jar and it slowly closes once it reaches the point of it being closed it then turns and pops the lid off.The issue I have is that after the lid is popped off it doesn’t always open back up and just keeps making that clicking noise.

Review: This may not be the quietest machine but it certainly works. We do some pressure canning and that results in bottles that are often hard to open, this is an easy, hands free method of opening home processed jars. Commercial jars such as pickles are easily opened. Just place the opener on top of the jar, push the button and watch, it is that easy.

Review: I gifted this to my Aunt that has arthritis and other issues that affect her hands/grip. We tried it with a jar of home made sauce. As suspected, it did not work. Outer grips just slipped off. Tried again after heating and knocking the lid to help loosen it but no luck. Then I tried it on a jar of olives I bought from Costco. Still did not open the jar. I tried to open that jar by hand and it was easy. I do not recommend this product. Too good to be true. My Aunt had such high hopes.
