At Henson Shaving, we’re setting a new standard for the shaving experience, not by following trends but by addressing real needs.
We combine functional design with a science-based approach to deliver products that promote healthier-looking, irritation-free skin.
Henson is on a mission to quantify the impact of erythema (razor burn) and improve the shaving experience for those with sensitive skin and shave irritation.
Our initial study compared the Henson Razor to a leading multi-blade razor. 60 volunteers shaved one side of their face or neck with each razor. Multispectral images of their skin taken before and after shaving showed less razor burn was caused by Henson compared to the multi-blade

Precision Engineering- Many men experience some form of irritation to the skin when shaving like razor burn, an inconsistent shave and ingrown hairs caused by inferior razors. At Henson, we've addressed this using our 22+ years of aerospace machining expertise to identify major flaws in mainstream razors, such as unsupported cutting blades, and designed the Henson Double Edge Safety Razor in a way that truly protects your skin.
30° Blade Angle- Hensons single blade razors for men and women are designed with a 30 degree angle when in contact with the skin, this strikes the perfect balance between shaving efficiency and comfort. This helps minimize skin irritation cuts and razor burn, and allows you to shave with confidence.
Blade Rigidity & Free End Length - Rather than a gradual bend across the entire width of the blade, the head of the Henson razor creates a focused bend close to the blade’s edge to maximize the rigidity of the blade. The longer the blade the more flex it has which can result in skin irritation and an inferior shave. Our short free end length supports the blade close to the cutting edge, further reducing any chatter during a shave.
Wide Open Channels - Henson AL13 razor is beginner friendly and easy to clean. Its sleek, open channels let shaving creams and hair rinse effortlessly from the razor’s head, eliminating the need to clear off any clogged hair left from the blade.
Zero Waste Razor - Designed for lifetime use, our single blade razors are durable, cost-efficient, plastic-free & recyclable. By pairing your razor with RK Shaving’s sharp precision blades, a 100-pack of blades can last a regular shaver between 2-3 years. Protecting your skin, the environment and your wallet.

Title: Amazingly close shave!
Review: I was a bit hesitant because some reviews were saying it took more passes than a multi-blade disposable. That may be true, but the fact there is absolutely no loading this razor with cut hair (a big problem disposables are plagued with) that overall speeds the entire process. I rinse this razor only one time⦠after Iâm done shaving. No banging it on the sink to dislodge har stuck between blades, no rinsing to unload it! I make one pass and then flip to the second edge and go over any areas I missed. The actual shave time for me is reduced, but changing the blade probably makes it about the same. I usually spend about 5 minutes shaving and that has not changed with this razor.More precise than a multi-blade disposable. I used to use a multi-blade razor, and then to get under my nose just above my mustache, I used a single-blade disposable because I only need to shave a few mm and the multi-blade started out too thick. The Henson does it all, and with the textured handle, I feel I have more control than Iâve ever had. After using this razor for a week and being only on my third blade, it is easy to see this will be a far cheaper solution as well.It has nicked me twice⦠about the same as disposables, but the Henson nicks Iâve received are noticeably smaller. This razor is every bit as safe as a disposable safety razor. Applying a tiny amount of shave cream with my fingers as a lubricant, I can press as hard as I want and it still glides over the skin. Theyâve dialed in the blade angle with this design and I couldnât be happier. It really does everything I need and everything I had hoped it would. I would highly recommend this razor to anyone currently dealing with disposables. It is expensive initially, but you will immediately get better, more rounded performance and fairly quickly recoup the cost⦠all the while helping the environment. Just do it.

Title: Very light, very close shaving, very fast with no clogging
Review: The Henson Safety Razor distinguishes itself from its competitors by providing an exceptionally close shave. Its design facilitates the easy removal of hairs, resulting in reduced clogging and a smoother shaving experience. Many other razors encounter difficulties in this regard, necessitating more frequent cleaning and compromising shaving efficiency. Furthermore, the Henson Safety Razor's build quality exudes a sense of premium craftsmanship and durability, making it a worthwhile investment for your grooming regimen. However, it should be noted that the razor's closeness may be excessive for some individuals. While the cutouts at the bottom effectively prevent clogging, the razor's lightweight construction and user-friendly design make it virtually foolproof in terms of safety. It is strongly advised to avoid using their razor blades, as they are not worth the and significantly duller compared to alternatives. This potential shortcoming should not be attributed to the razor itself, especially for first-time users. Overall, the Henson Safety Razor represents a significant upgrade from conventional razors and my previous razor.

Title: Amazing razor!
Review: I have wanted to join the single edge razor club for a long time now. Every time I try, with a different single edge razor, I have nothing but a miserable experience. That is until I bought this Hensen razor. Please take note that I have received nothing, nor do I expect to receive anything for this review. I don't typically write reviews unless I either hate a product or love a product. In this case I am loving this razor. It is funny how we have been taught to believe a single edge razor needs to be "heavy" in order to do the job. Just drag the (heavy) razor across your skin, they say, and the miracle will happen. It'll be fun, they say. Well, for me, that miracle always turned into a nightmare of a bloody mess. The Henson, the rebel that it is, is very light. It reminds me of shaving with a disposable, it's that light. With its machined production, aluminum alloy material, its radically unique light weight, the people at Hensen have reinvented the single edge razor and I am very happy about that! Oh, I still get a slight bit of irritation but it's about 1/10th of the irritation and cuts that I got with other single edge razors. To me, that's amazing. I am so thrilled with it that I bought a second one within a matter of days.

Title: Good shave
Review: I have used electric razors and never found one that works good for me. I was using multi blade replacements for years and they did a good job. I decided to try a safety razors and see if it worked for me. I bought the Henson after seeing their ad saying how good they were and give it a try. I am not going to lie but installing that little blade kind of freaks me out knowing how sharp it is but onward I went. My first shave with it seemed to take much longer and let some blood out in sever place but that was remedied with the astringent bar. I think it did a good job and lasted almost as long as the multi blade did. The following shaves ave been better after I planed down some of the high spots so no more bleeding. I change the blade after 3 shaves so the value will be much better than the multi blades. The handle feels a little awkward at first but I got use to it. It comes packed good and with 5 blades but there is no stand for it, you can order that separately I think they should just up the price a bit and include it but in my opinion it is not necessary. All and all it is a good shave and in the long run will save you money, the razor is well built and should last many years.

Buen corte.

Review: Day 1 review; Was it my best shaving experience ever? No. It was adequate. It did its job, I nicked myself once, and I could have done a bit better in some of the usual troublesome areas. Both, I am confident, will improve as I adjust to the slightly different feel of this razor from what I am used to.I am just endlessly tired of the major brands selling their razors as loss-leaders (like printers). If I buy an electric razor, and the blades get dull, it is cheaper to buy a new razor than just replacement blades. And with the non-electric shavers; they are forever re-inventing the wheel with their disposable 5-blade cartridges, making it prohibitively expensive to keep buying (if you can even find) blades that work with your handle. Both contributing to E-waste and plastic waste.Unless you have mobility/joint issues (particularly in the wrists/arms), I don't think most of those fancy pivot points and multi-blades are strictly necessary for a good shave. They might make a good shave *easier*, but as various costs of living keep going up, it no longer makes sense. The 100-ish dollar price point is a bit daunting if, like me, you are used to the other things - but it feels solid and well-made. Though some shaving enthusiast reviewers I have seen while I was deciding on this purchase mentioned that it was "too light-weight" and mourned the lack of availability or price point of some of this company's other models. This is a bit more hefty than the plastic bic and gillette handles I am used to.I'll give it a couple more weeks, but I think I'll definitely end up buying the 100 pack of blades.

Review: Do you have someone in your life who shaves? Do they wetshave (traditionally shave with brush, soap, BIFL razor) already or do they shave with the miserable cartridges already? Look no further. This is a Canadian designed and manufactured razor of great quality and better geometry. It has dethroned my merkur 34c razor which has been a staple of my morning routine for 5+ years. This will be appreciated by anyone who shaves and cares to enjoy that process. Definitely lives up to the hype.
