Title: Sometimes the oldest advice is best..
Review: Short and sweet. This is great little book from one of golfings great players, written in clear ,direct, easy to understand language. No fluff or ads to sell clubs or other gear, miss this kind of honesty in todays commercial world. Will keep and reread as necessary!Definitely recommend.

Title: Easy to follow Instructions
Review: Great read but it's a bit old school wordy. Once you get used to that, I found a lot of useful information that I was able to apply to my swing right away.In my opinion, the chapter on foot work alone is worth the price of the book.Considering this book was written in 1953 and the information is still relevant today tells Mr. Tommy Armour, was way ahead of his time. Or that there is not much new in golf instruction.I am very happy with my purchase and I would gladly do business with this seller again in the future.

Title: Fantastic book!
Review: Great golf book! I was on a 7 handicap (several years ago) and this book was virtually my 'bible' and helped me play a lot of good golf then. I unfortunately loaned it to someone and never got it back!. Thirty years on I was thrilled to see that it was still available.I prefer the figure drawings in this book, these are much easier to understand than looking at modern photograph 'frames' of golf shots which seem to be the norm for golf instruction today. A particularly easy to understand book for beginner golfers; Quick delivery too....thank you so much.

Title: Timeless advice, bite size lessons.
Review: Great little book. Simple mid-century drawings illustrate the main points. No high-tech mumbo jumbo.I will say that as a lefty, I needed to manually change the instructions as it is written for a right handed golfer but that was a small inconvenience.

Title: Essential reading for the average golfer.
Review: By far the best book ever written for the occasional or average golfer. My dad gave me the hard cover version in 1960 and I've bought over 20 copies over the years for friends and family. The line drawings are better than any photograph for positioning of hands, feet, and clubs as well as swing action. Instructs by providing what you need to know and what you need to focus on, without any excess detail. Brilliant book that I refer back to every year.

Review: I first received a copy of this book in 1976 as a 15 year old. I was engrossed within in the first 4 pages as it was a simple read. There is nothing complicated in it and he discusses a golf swing for what it is. Words of wisdom such as, 'if you hit a bad shot don't think where you went wrong. Think how you are going to hit your next shot better.' Sound advice there. This is the book that helped me hone my swing and get down to a handicap of 4. I have never had a lesson from a pro and don't intend to now that I got another copy of this fantastic golf book.Anyone who plays golf or is just starting out should seriously consider buying this.

Review: Item arrived on time and is in excellent condition. This is a replacement for the same book which disintegrated through over use a few years ago. My husband was delighted to get this book and finds it very instructive and helpful.
