Title: Really nice quality
Review: We purchased this for our 19yo grandson who is a budding chef and wrote some family recipes in it to start him off. He was completely delighted.The quality is very nice and very suitable for a gift and for long-term use. I like the fact that it is loose leaf, and the cover is very nice and durable. I'm not sure the elastic closure is going to last forever, but that might end up being part of its charm 😁The pages are of a nice quality paper with generous enough writing space for the method.There are a lot of pages but I still want to find out if I can get refills.

Title: Heirloom quality
Review: This recipe book is beyond beautiful. It's the kind of book that can be passed down for generations. The cover has incredible detail, and the color is a rich brown. The material is leather-like. It's thick but bendy. Unfortunately, mine came with a bent corner. Luckily, it only shows on the inside of the cover. The book stays closed with an attached elastic band. The pages are made of a heavy paper. The book is about the size of a large paper back, and in combination with the well organized layout, there is plenty of room to fit most recipes. There is also a table of contents section, so you'll easily be able to know exactly where your recipes are. It's a beautiful book for keeping special family recipes safe and organized.

Title: Looks nice
Review: This is a nice looking leather like notebook. It has a nice feel to it. I like the brown color. The paper is heavy duty. There are more pages than some recipe books but I wish there were more. It would be nice if there was a link to order more pages. I also wish there were more pages for longer recipes. Still, I liked it so much that I ordered one for my niece and she loves it. So it makes a great gift.

Title: NOT real animal leather!
Review: I read the description very carefully before ordering. I wanted a real leather notebook that would develop a patina over time. The listing says: “Premium and Delicate Cover… made of high quality leather.” I assumed that meant full grain animal leather. Nowhere does this say this is PU (polyurethane) leather.I will acknowledge that it feels like a high quality vegan leather… but it’s not real animal leather and to me that is misleading.I only removed one star, because cover aside, the paper used for the blank pages is a high quality. There are a lot of sheets, along with a couple extra pages — like a Table of Contents and conversion chart — that are nice additions.The elastic band may stretch out over time. I’ve had notebooks and binders with a similar strap that eventually stretched out from use. The nice thing about this one, is that it is accessible from the inside, in case it does need to be replaced with something similar — not concealed under a liner or glued down.
