Mags Barkworth still suffers the effects of a life-changing tragedy over a decade ago.
She knows her husband loves her. She knows he would never do anything to hurt her, or their daughter. But what if the voice in her head, the one she's pushed away with therapy and anti-depressants, is telling the truth?
What if it's all a lie?
When Tam, their daughter, draws an uncannily detailed picture of a place she's never been, Mags's life starts to unravel. But even in her most paranoid moment, Mags could never have guessed the secret she is destined to uncover.

Title: My review of Picture On The Fridge
Review: Ian W .Sainsbury is another new -to -me author, but due to his book The Picture On The Fridge, I am hoping that he's going to be writing for a long time. I was misled by the title, assuming that it was another story about a missing child. That couldn't be further from the truth! This is one of the best thrillers that I have read in a very long time! There's not a dull moment, and there's a great deal of pieces to put together. There's a lesson to be learned about genetics as well! I would recommend this book to all of my reading friends! I am certain that you'll have a wild ride!

Title: Captivating
Review: Bradley, is a genetic scientist who spends half of his time in Boston doing research, and the other half in London where his family lives. His wife Mags, is a stay at home mom to their 11yr old daughter, Tamara. Mags character deals with a lot of anxiety. She's seen a therapist for it, but there are other factors at play. Mags does not connect with her husband. She feels everything is rehearsed, and his only real concern is their daughter. Everything comes to an abrupt halt when Mags is called to Tamara's school. After she arrives, she finds that her daughter has drawn a very detailed photograph. It is so good, that you can see the tiniest texture within it, but Tam has no relection of drawing it. This is the start of a series of events that captivating, page turning, and just overall WTF? Sainsbury, has delivered a priceless gem with this read. I recommend this book!

Title: Awesome Thriller, you can't put it down.
Review: First the bad, I did notice a few typos in this book. Not a huge deal, there were just a few sentences that had the words out of order or were missing a word. 5 or 6 I would guess, Ian hit me up for details. Now the good, this is a freaking awesome book. I couldn't put it down and couldn't help myself explaining it to my wife to give her context before reading a section to her. I enjoyed this book much more than The blurred lands and thought it was as good if not better than the world walked series although I still think the Half hero series is still my favorite writing from Ian.Anyway read this book if you like thrillers it's great I will definitely be reading it again.

Title: Very well written, suspenseful
Review: Writing style flowed smoothly. Characters well drawn. Suspenseful plot though it got confusing at one point but I just kept reading hoping it would sort itself out. It didn't. So I may have missed some of the details, but either way it was still susoenseful

Title: Complex plot skillfully executed
Review: The Picture On The Fridge is a psychological thriller with a good bit of horror mixed in. The primary villain is evil and probably demented, the villains that appear later in the book are willfully, knowingly, intentionally evil and they are the truly scary ones.Itâs a debut novel but there is no lack of polish in this tale of DNA and those who would plunder it.

Title: Awesome, awesome, awesone
Review: It only takes two people to make it good. The writer and the reader. ( love that) I have never read this author before. He mostly writes sci-fi and that is my least favorite jahndra. The title is what made me want to look at the book. The reviews and the description is what made me want to read this book. Just something about it so I'm glad you stuck with that name. This author needs to keep writing psychological/ thrillers. This is one of the best books i have read in a long time and believe me I read a lot. This book had a great pace, was creepy as all get out, very new concept which is a very nice for a change. Please, please keep writing thrillers every now and again. New fan. This is a must read, I dare you to want to put the book down. Can't do it. I just can't say enough good things about this book. I'm giddy about this book. I highly recommend. Excellent read. Enjoy!

Title: The Scientist and the Mom, a different kind of family.
Review: Mags always felt she was living in an alternate reality. She had the best life - a gorgeous, smart husband, a beautiful home, a wonderful loving, daughter, Team. Somehow she couldn't believe thus was her life. After the loss of Game twin during childbirth, Mags had lost something of herself. She knew she was suffering loss and experiencing undo paranoia ( or so her therapist pointed out). No matter how much she loved Team and Bradley, something felt wrong. When Tam suddenly displays tremendous artistic abilities while appearing detached from her surroundings, Mags lets her anxiety loose while Broadly offers scientific explanations. But is the truth somewhere in between? While Team and Mags seem to share an amazing relationship at hone in England, Brad travels between the UK and his families genetics research company in Boston. The story takes a number of strange twists when Mags realizes there may be more to these drawings than buildings. Interactions with her twin brother and a chance(?) meeting with an American journalist in Atlanta set Mags on a journey into a reality no mother wants to face.

Review: This is the first book I've read by Ian. And I loved it. As the suspense grew with every page, I had more difficulty putting it down. It brought me back to the thrillers I grew up watching and hope it gets made into a movie/show. I don't usually give out 5 star reviews but this was well deserved. I highly recommend this book.

Title:
Review: When I read in the back of this book that the author, Ian W Sainsbury, is a Science Fiction and Fantasy writer I was quite surprised. This is a really polished psychological thriller with a gripping story. The story is difficult to describe without plot spoilers but it is really well written and involves Bradley a scientist and Mags his wife and Tam their daughter. Mags is a fraternal twin and Tam was an identical twin but Bradley told Mags that Clara, Tam's sister, died at birth. Bradley divides his time between London where Mags and Tam live and the USA where he runs a scientific company with his father. Mags never really feels she can trust Bradley but can't say why and feels guilty about this. Tam starts drawing pictures of places that she hasn't seen in great detail whilst she appears to be in some sort of trance. Afterwards she can't remember anything and gets quite upset. Bradley shows great (and suspicious) interest in these drawings and Tam's reactions. Mags follows her intuition and finds out what really going on and things get resolved in a thrilling, heart thumping, page turning way!***SPOILER ALERT***You may think after reading this that the huge study involving separated twins and triplets who are adopted by families who are not told about their siblings and extensively studied and lied to about the nature of the study is a work of fiction and couldn't possibly happen. In which case I urge you to watch the Netflix documentary "Three Identical Strangers".
