Title: You NEED this for a better vacation!
Review: Easy and enjoyable to read. My biggest issue was often not knowing the location of hotels, restaurants, or attractions without searching back and forth through the sketchy locator maps. I did visit San Antonio just as we got into the COVID-19 outbreak, and we went to a number of restaurants and attractions that the book reviewed. Also to some of the places mentioned in the “Hill Country” section of the book. Without the book, we would not have found as much info online, so the book was invaluable for our trip.

Title: Helpful Guide in Need of an Update
Review: Although I grew up in Austin and have been to San Antonio many times, I bought this guide for recommendations on new places to try during a recent trip. The guide did not disappoint. The information and reviews were mostly spot-on, and there is a nice mix of modern day and old-time Austin. My only complaint was the maps, which are too small and not always easy to read. Also, many of the listed restaurants closed before or during the pandemic, so the book could benefit from a newer revised edition. Still, a very useful guide!

Title: Exploring made easy
Review: Save time and do your research in the all-in-one easy guide to San Antonio and Austin. This lightweight book has everything you want – history, culture, music, food and drink, nightlife, descriptive hotel accommodations, BBQ, biking and hiking, maps, shopping, with or without kids. Also, if time permits check out some colorful day trips. My bags are packed. River Walk, here I come.

Title: Very helpful, nice map
Review: I do a ton of research online and take my own notes, but this book had things in it I didn't find online. It was well laid out, and has a map you can pull out, which was better than any other map I found. The hours each attraction is open might be different, so it's important to double check before you go. I visited several of the restaurants they recommended and all were excellent, including the non-fancy places you might otherwise overlook.

Title: Creates a convenient way to travel
Review: I bought this book before a trip to Texas and I’m so glad I did. It’s got everything I need to know in one convenient book. It’s so difficult trying to plan a trip on the internet with so many different sources! But this Frommer’s guide puts it all in one place that I can carry with me easily.
