Title: The Definitive Guide for Everyday Dining in Houston
Review: Great summary of places youâd want to dine at every day. Not the fanciest places, but great everyday picks. I send a copy to all my friends who move to or work in Houston.

Title: Expand your Houston eatery horizons!!
Review: We keep this book in our car. It is organized by area of town, and neighborhoods so suggestions on where to eat are easy to find. We have tried several places already and were well-pleased with the food, decor, etc., which match the book's description. Houston is a wealth of culturally diverse restaurants and many of them are listed in this book. Don't be fooled by the word "cheap" as the food is really good! And this book will be a great add to the phone book you also keep in your car!!

Title: budget dining
Review: There are many other books about dining in Houston that are far more helpful and easier to reference. I would not rate this book as a winner.

Title: Informative and accurate
Review: I lived in Houston for many years, and I am impressed by how well this author knows the Houston restaurant scene. He truly did not leave out any of the tasty cheap restaurants in the city. He even mentions some of the really good but more expensive ones in a special section and guides readers to hard-to-find cuisines like Guatemalan. This is a fantastic book for both locals and visitors.

Title: A True Specialist
Review: Houston is a big messy city that is dazzling in its culinary and dining options. What I like about this book is that the author keeps his eye on his niche -- cheap eats and only cheap eats. What that means is hundreds of fabulous ethnic restaurants, mom-and-pop diners and the quirkiest dives. If you ever wondered what that interesting little hole-in-the-wall is like, this book will tell you. It's very useful, very detailed.

Title: HOUSTON, WE HAVE A BARGAIN
Review: It obvious the the author has done his research and is very familiar with Houston. This guide is easy to navigate and simple to follow. Houston, has so many restaurants and it's good to know where to get a bargain, even if ur a native. Might i say though if you are a first time houston visitor, splerge at least one night and go to Cafe Annie, or Marks, or Tony's, or America's, or Ruggles and live a little, I mean Houston has so many great restaurants that are well worth the steap price, just use the money u saved buying this guide used on amazon and with the knowledge u aquire there in and go treat yourself, Houston is blessed with some of the best restaurants in the country, you only live once, right?

Title: Excellent resource for exploring new restaurants in Houston
Review: If you are like me, you have the opportunity or need to get some of your meals out. I love the book Houston, Dining on the Cheap. Mike Riccetti picks out some of the less expensive restaurants that taste wonderful. I have found his reviews on restaurants that I am familiar with to be right on target. The book is more heavily weighted for the "loopies" and the southwest side of town, but does have selections from all areas. What makes this book very worthwhile are accurate descriptions of the restaurants, items that each place specializes in, and their price range. I also loved the section of more expensive and better known restaurants to go to during lunch hours. Each restaurant is profiled with type of food, price range, speciality items, decor, and much more.If you are looking for a great jumpstart to your dining adventures and you do not want to spend a great deal, this book is the way to go. Affordable dining experiences can easily be found from this book.
