Title: Very Useful
Review: When my daugh in law went to New York with my granddaughter for a dance class, I bought this book for her. My granddaughter was in class from 8-4 and my daugh in law used the book a lot to explore New York. Since she is a walker she said it really was very useful.

Title: Excited to return to NYC with this book!!!
Review: Start spreading the news!I'm a big of Jessie Kanelos after using her book "Paris in Stride" on my first visit to Paris last year. There's a lot to see in Paris and the self guided walks in that book were easy to follow and an easy way to see the indv. neighborhoods of Paris. One of my other favorite cities is New York. Naturally, I was happy when I found out she was releasing this book and pre-ordered it right away. The illustrations are beautiful and I think its the perfect travel guide for anyone going to New York or even a local that wants to be a tourist in their own town. There are guides to Manhattan neighborhoods and Brooklyn (which I'm hoping to do this year). And useful information for a visit to NY such as "How to Eat Like a New Yorker" and "Parks of New York." Hoping to return to NYC this year with this book! Great Job Jessie Kanelos and Jacob Lehman!

Title: Great walking guide of NYC
Review: I’ve been a fan of Jessie Kanelos Weiner’s work for many years now, and loved her last walking tour guide, Paris in Stride. So when I saw she was coming out with another guide for another of my favorite cities, I immediately pre-ordered! I just received today, and I cannot wait to visit New York and explore under her guidance. The public art walk, might be my favorite. Like all of her work, this book is full of beautiful, dynamic water colors in her signature style. This is a perfect gift for yourself or any traveler in your life. Enjoy!

Title: Beautifully illustrated & practical guide to NYC
Review: “New York in Stride” is a practical walking guide filled with beautiful watercolors of various neighborhoods, galleries, parks, bookstores, restaurants, bakeries, cafes, as well as intricate colorful maps expertly painted by Jessie Kanelos Weiner. I would love to have some of these drawings enlarged, framed and displayed on my walls, especially the fun winter scene of the ice skaters at Wollman Rink in Central Park. Looking forward to exploring the neighborhoods of NYC with this practical guide in hand!

Title: Lots of fun information
Review: Even though I lived in the NYC area for 10 years, this book had a lot of information about places I didn't know about. It is separated by neighborhoods and covers places of interest to visit, with nice summaries, as well as places to eat. The book is very compactly written, saying just enough about each visitor spot. I highly recommend this guidebook and plan to use its suggestions on my next visit.

Title:
Review: This bright, crisp, pocket-sized book presents 11 original walks in Manhattan and Brooklyn. These are imaginative and cover for example artist Isamu Noguchi’s favourite spots while ending at the museum presenting many of his works. They cover not only conventional sites but also “institutions” such as restaurants, bakeries or bookstores. Texts are very short but informative and presented with numbered references to the route for each walk. The lay-out is attractive, colourful and lively and maps are attractive, large-scale and easy to understand. There are no photos but many bright watercolours, not only of streets, parks and buildings but also of yellow taxis, bagels and pigeons. As a bonus, eight two-page discussions of “destinations” are included and deal with topics such as museums, the Manhattan Skyline and art in the streets.Overall, this is a very advisable investment for anyone curious to learn more about New York City. It must be underscored however that the book, published in 2020, was no doubt written before the COVID crisis and that a significant number of retail outlets covered are now out of business.
