Title: Great info!
Review: I’ve had the day hikes in Philadelphia and have loved it, and have marked and made notations for the trails I’ve visited. so I got the NJ one for a family member who lives there. The details for parking / difficulty level / things to see, etc are on point and helpful. It’s one of the more accessible hiking books I’ve found. I made a few notes of NJ hikes I haven’t tried yet.

Title: Lots of Great Day Trips
Review: I had the New Hampshire version and saw they had one for New Jersey. It has a great selection of day hikes and the layout is superb. You get to choose your hike in terms of time, distance and effort and the choices range from the hilly areas to the shore. It introduced me to areas that I had not known about as well as expanding on some well trod paths. The ones along the Delaware are great especially as one gets to the Fall and early winter as well as late spring. The details are more than adequate and the information provided seems quite spot on.I would strongly recommend this to anyone who wants to get a different perspective and a delightful one of New Jersey.

Title: Provides unique hikes
Review: I love this book. It gives you all the information you need to know (hike difficulty, GPS coordinates for hikes that don't start out at a regular trailhead, etc) and doesn't just direct you to one trail. It will take you turn-by-turn through a mix of trails you might not have thought of otherwise. To a relatively new hiker this has been really helpful and on a nice day I'll just open to a random page, grab my keys, and go.

Title: A Great Resource
Review: So glad I bought this book......with things the way they are these COVID days, it is great to be able to take some hikes close to home. No, we are not going to use the written turn-by-turn directions in 2020--that's what alltrails is for! But the book has excellent background on the different hikes, and with each one, there are suggestions for other hikes nearby that are also a great resource.

Title: Surprised me
Review: All my hiking, until more recently, has been in other states. For some reason I just had the mindset that Jersey wasn't that great for hiking...WRONG! I really enjoyed this book. Learned of a good number of interesting places I had no clue existed. Some were even within 30 minutes of my home.

Title: This book has all 21 counties in NJ covered!
Review: Whether you are a resident of NJ or just looking for hikes in NJ, this is the book you need to get! It covers all 21 counties in NJ and includes interesting facts of the area, not just hiking directions. The trail rating system is very helpful, so you can plan ahead how long/hard/easy of a hike you want to do. I highly recommend anyone getting this book!
