"A love letter to Bombay told through food and stories, including their legendary black daal" ―Yotam Ottolenghi

At long last, Dishoom share the secrets to their much sought-after Bombay comfort food: the Bacon Naan Roll, Black Daal, Okra Fries, Jackfruit Biryani, Chicken Ruby and Lamb Raan, along with Masala Chai, coolers and cocktails.

As you learn to cook the comforting Dishoom menu at home, you will also be taken on a day-long tour of south Bombay, peppered with much eating and drinking. You'll discover the simple joy of early chai and omelette at Kyani and Co., of dawdling in Horniman Circle on a lazy morning, of eating your fill on Mohammed Ali Road, of strolling on the sands at Chowpatty at sunset or taking the air at Nariman Point at night.

This beautiful cookery book and its equally beautiful photography will transport you to Dishoom’s most treasured corners of an eccentric and charming Bombay. Read it, and you will find yourself replete with recipes and stories to share with all who come to your table.

'This book is a total delight. The photography, the recipes and above all, the stories. I've never read a book that has made me look so longingly at my suitcase' Nigel Slater

Title: Beautiful Recipe Book!
Review: Thrilled to have this amazingly well thought out, spiral-bound Bombay Indian Cookbook that is packed full of fascinating information; beautiful cover, photos, map of area, lovely recipes that we're looking forward to making! Also, thank you so very much for not only offering it on Amazon, but for your well packaged shipping so it arrived without damage, as I had read earlier reviews others weren't so fortunate.

Title: Excellent Cookbook(?)!
Review: This is so much more than a cookbook! It's full of super interesting facts about Bombay history/culture and nostalgia! The book is physically one of the most beautiful books I've seen in forever. The color/shape/fonts/bookmark are a reminiscent of high quality books from yesteryears. The recipes and pictures and inspiring as well.

Title: Love the book format and the recipes!
Review: I had to find a local source for some ingredients, but so far, every dish we've made has been delicious! Maybe not as great as sampling multiple dishes at one of their London restaurants, but definitely a tasty alternative to my local venues. The book is a great read, a bit of history and almost a travel guide.

Title: Great Cookbook!
Review: We’ve visited Dishoom in London and in Edinburgh and love the food. I saw the cookbook in the restaurant but didn’t want to weigh down our luggage with a book while traveling. Luckily, I found this beautiful cookbook on Amazon so I bought it when we got back home. It has lots of the menu items featured in the restaurant. As a bonus, it is also price pointed for less than it is in the restaurant!

Title: Beautiful book inside and out
Review: Dishoom holds a special place in my family's heart, and our recent trip to London included not one, but three visits to this beloved eatery within just two days. So, when I discovered they had their own cookbook, it was an instant must-have for me. Let me start by saying that this book is a true masterpiece. Its aesthetic appeal is such that you could easily leave it out as a coffee table book. Beyond its visual charm, it offers a delightful collection of memoirs and stories that truly deepen one's appreciation for Dishoom's heritage and origins. While I must confess that I haven't had the chance to try out the recipes just yet—mainly due to the hunt for some of the unique ingredients—I find solace in knowing that I now have the means to recreate those delectable dishes whenever the craving strikes.

Title: A beautiful book!
Review: This cookbook is a treasure. Having dined at many Dishoom locations while visiting family in the UK, I have greatly missed their delicious Daal and other dishes now that we are unable to travel. I have yet to try cooking any of the recipes as I don’t have all the necessary ingredients, but flipping through the pages made me feel like I was experiencing Dishoom right in my NYC living room! I am excited to try the recipes.I had to dock on star just due to the condition the book arrived in- the corners of the cover were bashed in and some of the pages were folded and creased. I guess it adds to the character of the cookbook?

Title: Delicious!
Review: I had the pleasure of eating at Dishoom in London and they sell this book at the restaurant. But it was much more expensive there and I would have needed to make room in my luggage for the book. So instead I ordered this while eating their delicious food! (I think it was like 30£)

Review: Dined at Dishoom last month in London and it was an amazing meal. The cookbook is beautiful with gorgeous photos, stories and easy to follow recipes. You will need a set aside a day to shop and cook, but the results will be well worth it.

Gönnen Sie es sich....I did
