Title: Super helpful information
Review: There is a ton of information on line so I almost didn't buy this. Super glad I did as it has some sections that were not information I had come across anywhere on line. Some fun weekend festivals/food fairs that I am really looking forward to. Also covered additional reasons on when to visit and when not to and some BIG peak times that I would like to miss. Well worth the money

Title: Complete guide with map
Review: I liked the book for suggestions, like dressing up a bit more than in usual vacation places. Also, Puerto Rico prices are usually high because everything has to brought into the island. Credit cards fine but US banks may charge a foreign location fee on debit cards. I would have liked more information on classical music performances and English language theatre.

Title: Very helpful PR 2019 guidebook
Review: These authors have includes some very helpful information long overlooked by travel guide authors. I am an experienced traveler and consumer of guide books and wonder why certain crucial information is missing from guide books. For example: Beach basics. Many beaches are beautiful etc but these authors break them down to swim/family, surfing/big waves. snorkel spots, and walkable so you can plan depending on your interests. Swimming pools. Many hotel pools are just afterthoughts so they can claim that they have one. Lets hear about pool size and deck comfort. As foodies, these authors tell you if off site dinning options are nearby the property or not. They also give good reviews about full service places AND great local kiosks and street food. I always want both. The fancy places are easy to find but not the local hangouts. In future additions I would like to hear about near by useful grocery stores and wine availability. They do list some local sources for real estate rentals but more could be added. Not a large number of hotels listed but perhaps Maria has knocked some out.

Title: Not Really Accurate
Review: I have used Fodor's Guides in the past for trip planning to the Caribbean. I recently purchased the new 2019 edition for winter travel in 2020. The Amazon product review page claims that the book has been updated to report damage from Hurricane Maria in 2017. However, it only took about 10 min to find a false report of a property open for business that I know for a fact has been abandoned since being pummeled by Maria. This is the Playa Caribe Beach Resort on the south coast in the municipality of Patillas. I shot the photos there last February. I have been in contact with the owners. They have not yet begun any restorative work and don't know yet if they will ever get it back to how it used to be. I am returning the book. SAD!

Über Visum, Währung usw. muss man sich selbst informieren.Aber hier im 3-wöchigen Urlaub hat mir dieser Reiseführer viele schöne Plätze gezeigt und mich zwischendurch immer wieder auf tolle Sehenswürdigkeiten und Strände aufmerksam gemacht.Er ist gut und verständlich geschrieben.Danke für diese tolle Erfahrung in Puerto Rico mit diesem Reiseführer.
