Title: Great Product - Pro Landscaper Approved!
Review: Recently had some professional landscaping done on my property, and needed a new watering hose system. My Dad had bought Gardena products back in the 1960's-70's and raved about the quality of the product, and when I saw that Gardena currently makes retractable reels, I knew that was going to be my choice. I made the correct decision. Quality of hardware is outstanding. The use of the reel is fantastic - easy to use and always retracts easily and perfectly every time. Wish the hose quality was more heavy duty - it does feel thin, but performs well. This one was the 100' model, attached to the house, but I have also purchased the 60' model, mounted in the ground. FYI: I had reservations about the ground mounted version, but they did a great job of designing the mounting system - once properly installed, you CANNOT pull it out of the ground, which was my great fear! When my landscaper used the reel system he was amazed at how well the system worked, and wanted to know more. Gardena makes some great products, quality is very good, I know you will enjoy using their products!!!

Title: Great customer service and warranty
Review: I purchased the 115’ model two years ago and I have been happy with my purchase - up until the recoil mechanism broke. Luckily I was within the 2-year warranty window, and within 5 minutes of calling Gardena support, they had ordered me a new replacement reel free of charge.Pros/ObservationsSolid build, not flimsy. The hose itself is a small diameter but seems durable and does not kink easily. Water pressure is great. The hose fittings use a screw clamping design that requires only hand tightening, no tools. The auto-retract feature is awesome - a quick pull on the hose, mic drop and walk away. Installation was tricky for me, primarily due to the construction of my home. I screwed a scrap Ipe board to my stucco skirt using 4 metal Fliptoggle anchors, and then screwed the base into the wood. As I would find out the hard way, the 2-year warranty and excellent customer support were a lifesaver.ConsDurability - Within a few months of use, the hose guide that tracks horizontally while spooling the hose to ensure that the hose lines up and doesn't overlap seemed to get out of adjustment. When spooling the hose, the hose would overlap and rub against the housing, causing it to stop short of fully spooling. At one point there was a loud grinding while unspooling the hose, and after that I could see something was broken… this was after ~18 months of gentle use. I am hoping that design/build improvements have been made.

Title: Effective and priced well
Review: I installed this on my raised deck. If you mount it correctly, it is extremely convenient and the hose is nice and long to reach everywhere to the plants on my deck. It’s retracting mechanism nicely spreads out the hose so it doesn’t kink very well constructed and looks like it’s gonna last a long time, I love the way the fittings on equipment. I’ve got a whole bunch of them.

Title: Its BIG , solid quality
Review: This is big and high quality. The hose is smaller diameter and the pressure for the long hose is a little less than a typical hose, but the convenience is great. the retract works nice. the major issue - 1 star, is the mounting bracket. It requires at least 5" so a single 4x4 is too narrow. I found a good spot with two 4x4 next to each other and it worked good. The thing to know is the mount seems like its designed for about a minimum of a 6" board width. (and it has two vertical mounting points to account for) but otherwise- not sure if i would buy another one but happy with this for its intended use.

Title: GARBAGE
Review: Purchased this based on the reviews. Wish I had dug a little deeper and found out that this thing is a piece of garbage, but I had to learn the hard way. Fortunately, I have the assurance protection plan and was refunded the money because I was outside of the return window. I purchased this with the intention of putting it up immediately, but due to a remodeling project that was going on at our house that extended an additional three months, I wasn’t able to put this on until last week. within one minute of it being installed, two of the nuts that are holding it to the house, the heads broke off. They literally just popped off across the patio. The very first time I pulled the hose out to water an item. I heard a snapping sound and then what sounded like a spring unwinding for a minute. It turns out it was the retraction device breaking on the very first use rendering the entire hose worthless. It will neither pull out nor retract. One use. Total garbage. It turns out. This is a pretty common problem with this product.

Review: We are shocked as just installed and now its not going back. All the hose pipe is out and we dont know how to roll it back. it just goes in 2 m and rest is still out. pls help us. After spending top dollars, this sort of product is delivered. We paid the plumber too SGD 150 to install, change tap and hoped that product will be good.but its really bad product.
