About Authentic English Recipes
It's great to try new recipes for the first time. To experience new flavours and food combinations you may never have thought of. But for most of our day to day cooking, we never open a cookbook or precisely measure ingredients. We go by what feels right and the experience of cooking the same meal many times before.
The How To Make Authentic English Recipes series ismore about the method and the ingredients than it is about precise measuring. This is the way our Grandmothers and Mothers cooked. These are recipes my Grandmother passed down to my Mother and then to me.
I hope you enjoy this series of cookbooks and will soon be using these homemade recipes and cooking like a true Brit.

Title: Simple, informative and delicious!
Review: Downloaded this book street i got the hankering for some roasted parsnips and Yorkshire pudding. These recipes were absolutely delicious and easy to follow. I was really quite surprised at how easy the recipes were and found it to be more the method that was most important(like for the Yorkshire pudding, etc)Overall, i was really pleased! Can't wait to try some of the sauces included as they look yummy. Also appreciated the measurements guide in the back- very handy.I have family and many friends in England and have been a big fan of their food since i first visited. Due to time and expense, i haven't been able to visit in many years. Reading some of these delicious food really took me back and brought back lovely memories of my dear family at Sunday lunch around the table. It's like a lovely little trip wrapped up in an e-book. :)As far as the writing goes, id like to add a note... the instructions and general manner of speaking are so casual and so warm, it feels as though you received the recipes from a friend. So pleased with this one, I've just ordered the entire set. Can't wait to take another trip down memory lane as i prepare some more classic English food!

Title: Uuhm good
Review: The instructions are easy to follow. Although I've been cooking for almost 60 years, I picked some tips that made the roast come out perfectly. Beef, pork, and lamb recipes are offered, as well as condiments for the different meats. The yorkshire pudding is super to make, but it works best if you follow the instructions precisely. As a bonus, a recipe for Onion Gravy is included. I find I use this recipe for gravy for many other meats.

Title: Cook book, formatted for Kindle, subject "Sunday Roast"
Review: The title caught my attention. The book is obviously written be a person who grew up very English, deduced by the style of writing. The recipe for Sunday Roast includes several side item foods and how to make them. It is not a large cook book per say, it includes just the items listed (How To Make An Authentic English Sunday Roast With Yorkshire Pudding, Roast Potatoes, Parsnips & Onion Sauce (Authentic English Recipes)). My wife was especially pleased to find the recipe on Onion sauce, as she has always wanted to know how to make that. Her and I were both very pleased by the book.

Title: Reluctant to try any other recipes in this book as the first one I tried was wrong
Review: I am from England and have been cooking since 1956. I bought this cookbook for my daughter-in-law and thought I'd try the recipe for Yorkshire Pudding. I've been cooking Yorkshire Puddings for fifty years, and the recipe in this book called to use "self-raising flour". I've never used self-raising flour in my Yorkshire Puddings and everyone raves about them. These Yorkshire Puddings turned out absolutely horrible. They tasted more like cake. I don't think I'll try any other recipes in the book. There are other good English recipe books out there, don't buy this one.

Title: Authentic English Roast!!
Review: I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this little booklet; the author writes in such a charming manner. The author makes it all so simple and now I know why my "popovers" (yorkshire pudding) never turns out right. This is the first in the series I have purchased and you can bet I'll be back for more. Worth every penny!

Title: English Meals
Review: This book was awesome. Recipes were delicious. So much like the meals my grandmother used to cook. I don't mind writing reviews but you guys are a little to fussy about how many words I use

Title: Just like I remember in Scotland
Review: Wonderful ideas and ways to prepare for this delicious meal. I make some tweaks on the original but it was really great with the way it was prepared. I also gave the pressure cooker some work and made some the food in a way quicker for I did not have a lot of time to get it together. It was great and my guests loved it and were already trying to schedule when we could do this again.
