Title: This cookbook is much more than just vegetables!
Review: I'm a subscriber to and big fan of Susan's email newsletter and immediately ordered VEG FORWARD when it was published. I've been cracking through the wonderful recipes on repeat - immediate favorites include: Little Gem & Raidh Salad with Buttermilk-Feta Dressing (crowd pleaser!), Sungold Spaghetti Carbonara (with my own tomatoes), Butter Steam Potatoes, Chocolate Zucchini Bread (made 3x this summer with my garden zucchini!), Peach & Almond Galette, Slow-Roasted Tomatoes, and Pickled Shallot Vinaigrette just to name a few! Many pages for fall and winter already bookmarked to cook with the seasons. This is wonderfully written, detailed cookbook with great photos and the results are delicious!

Title: Low Quality Printing, Meh Recipes
Review: After Open Kitchen, I was really looking forward to this book. For a novice cook, or one who is new to shifting their focus to more vegetable cookery.. this would be a good choice. For those who have been cooking veggies...in lots of different ways.. ie..a la Ottolenghi... there isnt much new here. Some are recipes I have seen before, some included are just basic recipes that are barely that. Perusing the book a few times, there wasnt anything that screamed.. "cook me now". She indicates all the photos were taken on an iphone.. which is fine.. but the actual photos..look washed out .. and the pages are extremely thin... This gives the book a 'cheaply made' feel. Yawn inducing recipes, and less than appealing printing have initiated a return on my part.

Title: Delicious and Beautiful Recipes
Review: There is not a dish here that I don't want to eat! The recipes are clear and simple, the pictures gorgeous. The grilled pizzettes, Greek slab sandwich, peach and almond galette, veggie Bolognese, and smoky corn salad are some of my favorites. I am not a vegetarian, but I could live on these recipes alone, not missing meat. Such a beautiful and useful book to have in the kitchen. And is the perfect summertime house gift.

Title: Delicious and beautiful seasonal dishes
Review: This is a gorgeous book filled with so many recipes for every season of the year. I have already marked everything I want to make this summer and the upcoming seasons. Susan makes every dish look gorgeous yet not difficult. Iâve been cooking from her former book and following her for years and every recipe has been a keeper!! This new cookbook will be well used all year long!

Review: I bought this beautiful cook book for the recipes, for myself. It is so wonderful I have purchased two more copies to give as gifts. Not only are the recipes delicious, they make you look like a pro when you serve them. I am totally impressed that the author took the photos herself too.
