But the waffle pattern of this men's robe is more like slightly raised small squares embossed throughout the lightweight fabric that is not suffocating or thermic. This robe breathes, and is good for all day comfort here in air conditioned Florida. Up north, you might consider this a 'summer robe.'I wear XL for shirts, but usually go up a size when I buy online. I've purchased this robe twice using XL-XXL. It fits perfectly just below the shoulders. Arm length is right at the wrist cuffs. Length is at the shins with plenty of room to tie off waist. Quality stitching with white piping in lapel, pockets and wrist. Holds up well during machine wash/dry, keeps shape. Slight shrinkage.Highly recommended.Will buy again.

Title: Long enough! And soft!
Review: I was looking for a longer yet lighter robe than the terry ones I found in the stores (manufacturers seem to think all women are very short because everytime I purchase on the women's section, they are way too short and I am not quite 5'9"). Anyway, the size guide recommended "XXL big" for me, and I LOVE that size! It's a little bigger than I would normally buy in the shoulders and waist, but I can deal with that. The arms are long enough, and it falls below my knees... both of which are great and hard to find in robes for me (again, not that tall! How do people 6 ft+ find clothes to fit right??) Anyway, have only washed initially then dried, bit have worn several days (when clean after shower and before dressing) and LOVE the softness and the fit! Would recommend. Bought in maroon/burgundy, and the color so far is good.
