Title: Updating My Review Status
Review: Not happy with the delivery process. They shipped the unit USPS. Why I don't know. USPS will not deliver the item, they said it's because the item is too big and too heavy. So, I was forced to go pick it up at the Post Office. Doing so cost me an hour of my time. Come on people. This is Amazon, it's supposed to be delivered to my doorstep! The good is... set up was super easy. So much easier than my Ecovacs Omni X1. Which, based on my experienced was an overpriced, glitchy piece of junk, that had a variety of differing issues, both mechanical and electronic. It was not good at anything, except for wasting expensive cleaning solution. The S1 Pro voice communications much better they the Omni X1. The notification/communications are more detailed, timely and I can actually hear and understand what the device is saying.Starting mapping, I'll be back with another review after I've had the opportunity to run this unit for a while.UPDATE: 5 StarsI'll include comparisons to my previous product, the Ecovacs Omni X1, maybe that will provide information to help others who are considering that product. In short, that product is substandard in every aspect.Okay so far, this S1 Pro is a dream!I have two dogs, one large and one small breed, yet floors are actually clean now. I set it to clean and don't have to wonder if it will actually complete the job.SOFTWARE is superior in design, functionality and performance... it actually works and does so consistently. Whenever you do something with the base unit or the robot the device speaks to you. Example: "Clean tank removed"CONNECTIVITY This unit connects easily and stays connected. Unlike the Ecovacs where I was constantly having to turn it off and back on, resetting it etc... man I hated that product!!CLEANING ROLLER is far superior to the rotating pads- it cleans many times better than the Ecovac. I believe this is due to the fact that the Eufy cleans the roller much better than Ecovacs does the pads. The floor also dries much faster.Something I really like is the roller does not drop down to clean until it reaches the designated cleaning zone. So, stepping over wet trails to and from the cleaning area is a thing of the past. Also, because the S1 Pro works properly it has never needlessly put itself through a cleaning cycle. The Ecovacs did so at least 50 percent of the time and by doing so wasted a ton of cleaning fluid.NAVIGATION the unit cleans the floor in a logical fashion, does not get lost or confused like the Ecovacs did.ZERO FRUSTRATION theS1 Pro has not wasted my time dorking with it in an attempt to get it to work properly, which I could never do with the Ecovacs... there was always another glitch or problem to deal with.BOTOMLINE the S1 Pro does what is it supposed to; effectively, efficiently and reliably - Hassle and headache free!I get this review is as much about how bad the Ecovacs X1 is as it is how good the S1 Pro is. But as I said, hopefully this review will save those considering the Ecovacs product a lot of money, time and frustration by simply getting the Eufy S1 Dream... ahh I mean Pro.

Title: Life changing
Review: I was a little weary to spend so much money on a mop, but this thing is truly amazing. Literally life changing. We have a large main floor which is 90% hard wood so it used to take us about an hour and a half to fully mop all our floors. Now we are able to run this every night and our floors are literally shining they are so clean. We have a few different Roomba vacuums but what we like about the S1 Pro is that it doesn’t bash into your walls or furniture and it’s so quiet! Huge plus compared to our Roomba models.Navigation is also awesome with the 3D matrix eye. It was so quick to map our home, unlike our Roombas which took an hour+ to map our house. The only draw back is that there’s about 2 inches on the edges where the S1 Pro can’t clean. But worth it when 99% of our floor is spotless!

Title: Smart Vacuum Redefined!
Review: Been using this for almost a month now. It replaced an old robot vacuum that is the old round/disc shape and only did sucking. The Eufy S1 Pro Omni is a huge upgrade. It looks super sleek and modern. With its rounded shape and understated but refined and classy color. The Eufy S1 Omni Pro navigates around smoothly, accurately, and effortlessly. The old vacuum I had would get stuck when it goes from hardwood floor to carpet. Or it would sometimes get caught under the couch, or one of the sweepers would get stuck under a furniture leg and it would be spinning in circles. Not with this unit. The S1 Omni Pro glides over carpet gracefully. It goes around furniture, pet feeder, and other household obstacles with ease. There is an auto-retraction mop. When it detects carpet, it will retract, so that the S1 won't get stuck, and the mop won't be getting the carpet wet. This is all automatic, sensor-based so I don't have to worry about manually detaching or re-attaching the mopping head. When first booted up, the S1 would map the place and it saves the map in the app. When cleaning, I can see from the app exactly where it has cleaned and where it's going. It's fun to watch, but I don't have to keep a watch because it does a good job of covering everything. The suction power is great. I never found it lacking for anything. And the battery is enough for my needs. It will automatically return to the cleaning/charging station when finished or when battery is low. So I never have to worry about it.The app integration is easy to use. There are a ton of functions, like scheduling cleanings, setting no-go zones, and monitoring the cleaning progress in real-time. I learned to do all that without ever reading up a manual. It is that intuitive. You can also directly tell the S1 to clean a certain spot, or go to a specific room. The app is just well thought out.One of my main gripes for the old vacuum, is that I still needed to clean it manually. So I'm still getting my hands dirty. With the S1 Pro Omni, it's self cleaning, so I hardly have to touch anything or get dust all over my hands. Just clean out the water tank and empty the bin once in a while. I'd say it's a huge quality of life improvement. To conclude, the S1 Pro Omni is the next step in the evolution of smart robot vacuums. It looks super sleek and futuristic, and it does its job exceptionally well. Highly recommended!

Title: Excellent product
Review: I don’t often write reviews, but I just bought the eufy S1 on a prime day discount and am quite happy with it. So far I have been using it daily for about a week. I use it to mop/vacuum ~1200 sq feet of hardwood floors. The amount of water it uses is not in excess where I would worry about damage to wood floors. It does not get tangled on cords or objects lying around. It leaves my floors squeaky clean and I have 2 dogs. Huge huge improvement from the 6-7 year old Roomba I was using previously. I love that it looks so much more modern/sleek than even other current high end robot mops. I have nothing negative to say about this product and wouldn’t hesitate buying again or recommending to friends/family.

Review: I was so excited to have this opportunity to get the new Omni S1. This is my first robotic cleaner so I can't compare to others on the market at this initial price range. But I can speak to my experience setting up and doing the first cleaning. The Omni S1 comes with everything you need to get started plus replacement items so you don't have to immediately order replacement bags/mops/etc.. There is a wonderfully large and thick sheet of getting started instructions which my old eyes appreciated and directions were simple and for the most part, clear. Downloading the app was easy but pairing to my wi-fi took a few attempts (when they say get close they MEAN get close to your router when pairing). Once that was done and all the attachments clipped on to the unit, it was time to test it out.I placed the base unit in my den (a decision that will need to be re-thought), pressed the play button on the app and the head rolled off the base and started mapping my house. That took some time as it poked and prodded into every place it could find. As I watched on the app, I could see my rooms start to appear and with them the position of the cleaning head. This is where I ran into my first issue. It did not fully map my main bedroom, the furthest from the base unit. I always suspected that there is some shielding in that bedroom as even phones don't want to work as well there, so perhaps this was also interfering with communication with the base unit. To get the bedroom cleaned, I played with the app and added a "zone", interrupted the cleaning in progress and told the unit to clean that zone. That worked. As did the manual control where the unit did not wish to clean under the ottoman (not yet sure why as it certainly had head room to do so). What id did well:- 64% charged out of the box so eager owners can have some fun!- Clean design, looks good and sleek- cleaning head is so cute when trying to orient itself to return to base- great cleaning around table legs, chair legs, etc..gets debris close to walls and did a decent job in corners.- easy to operate and set scheduling- decent job on low carpet pile on first try, but has option to turbo setting to pull out more dust and cat hair in options.- mopping is fine if you do a deep clean of the floors first then use this robot to keep up with the floor cleaning.- ability to push firmware updates as we go through this journey with the Omni S1Nice to haves:- The manual control needs to have an integrated map so the user can see where the head is and direct it when out of sight.- Voice prompts when signal is weak between base unit and cleaning unit (so I don't have to guess why somethings not working as expected)- Dust bin unloading to the unit is very loud and quite messy if there's a lot of cat hair caught in the bin. I ended up sweeping around the base unit after the 2nd upload. Perhaps add a prompt to clean the dust bin if full before shooting it out into my room? Some sort of sensing needed there (I will clean that dust bin more often now).- less sensitivity for overhead objects. I noticed that even something as light weight as a sheet hanging down off a bed would keep the head from cleaning there. Same goes for cleaning under objects that are only slightly higher than the head, it avoids these areas too much. What I don't like:- app needs more work, it's not descriptive enough on what certain things do and the built in guide glosses over certain features that I wanted to learn more about. This is an easy fix for future app updates and I hope they continue to improve that part of the user experience.- cost of replacement parts like bags, mops, etc...are pricey and may add up over time. Add that to the initial cost of this unit and it's considerable. Then again, anyone paying full price for this robotic cleaner evidently has money to spare so this may not be a concern. With time, I'm sure third parties will begin making less expensive replacement kits.- mapping app doesn't update when things are changed (i.e. mats moved, etc.) I would think this would be a simple ai fix and hopefully will be done in future. One of my biggest annoyances of all as I constantly move things around the house and the poor robot just keeps trying to clean mats that are moved elsewhere unless I have it completely remap the whole house. In the end, I am over the top excited to have the opportunity to have this amazing product and I'm sure my experience will only continue to get better as I learn its' capabilities and as the developers upgrade features on the app.

Review: This robot vacuum/mop delivers, the quality is excellent and is easy to use through the app. Downloading the app and the mapping process was quick and easy, the app/robot vacuum did all the work for me.There are already many well written and detailed reviews praising this robot vacuum/mop and recapping all of it features. Rather than repeat all of it praises and functions my review will focus on things that I have personally learned while using it over the past couple of weeks. This is my 4th robot vacuum, I was an OG name brand robot vacuum user. Over the years I have added non name brand robot vacuums to my collection so that I had one on each floor on my home. I still have all 3 and all 3 still perform well, every couple of years I usually have to purchase a replacement battery.I was interested in adding another robot vacuum to my collection, one that had the vacuum and mop features. When the opportunity to test this EUFY robot vacuum/mop I jumped at the chance. Eufy has been a leader in the robot vacuum industry in recent years, as well as their home security camera's.I've been using the robot/vacuum exclusively on the main floor of my home, it is approximately 1500 square feet in total and has 3 types of flooring (tile, hardwood and plush area rugs).-The first time I did the mapping I didn't remove all the chairs around my tables or kitchen island. I didn't remove my coffee tables either. I noticed that after the first run of vacuuming it did not do an adequate job of going around and under these pieces of furniture. I then removed them all and re-did the mapping and all subsequent vacuums it did a thorough job.-The brush roller is super sensitive. I have 2 area rugs on my main floor and they are pretty plush. I don't have pets but we have multiple people in our household with very long and thick hair. I had programmed the vacuum function to run every night after I went to bed only to wake up to the vacuum having not completed the cycle, at some point on the second area rug it had stopped and wanted the brush roller to be cleaned out. This was unusually in my experience as my other robot vacuums have a much longer run before wanting the rollers to be cleaned out. There was only a small amount of hair compared to my previous experiences. It's not a big deal but I now have do my scheduled run when I am awake and able to attend to the brush, a bit of a bummer.-the robot vacuum base is quite large and requires at least 12 inches clearance on either side and an open space in front of it. I haven't been able to find an ideal spot to leave it parked on my main floor. In the meantime it is sitting in my kitchen, not an ideal or aesthetically pleasing location. This may be more of a me issue since my laundry and mud room is a 2 step down from the main floor.-the mop function does a good job and while it does a great job of ensuring it has a clean mop and water I find with my dark wood floors some minor streaking is visible (depending on the lighting). My only critique that keeps me from giving this robot vacuum/mop a perfect 5 is partly the price but mostly due to the fact that sealed dust bags and specific cleaning solution in a one time casing will need to be purchased for the life of the vacuum/mop. I'd prefer a compartment that doesn't require a forever purchase of additional disposable dust bags. As well, the cost of the replacement bags and mops are too pricey. This is a personal opinion and may not be a concern for everyone, the cost is offset by the performance. The EUFY OMNI S1 Pro robot vacuum is an excellent product.. It is pricey but worth it because it does all the work for you.

Review: This is by far the best robot that mop on the market right now, Eufy has come up with an incredible innovation in this area. There are a few concerns that I believe will surely get better through software/firmware updates. I'm giving the 5-star review because I'm a fan of Eufy Vacuums, already owning the X10 Pro Omni, a phenomenal robot with almost no cons, and because the Eufy support is amazing and responsive. After the great work done by the X10 in our living room, we decided to get a new robot for our basement. The X10 supports multi-level homes, however, it's a hassle to keep moving the robot up and down the stairs whenever it needs to wash the mops or empty the dustbin.Even before buying the X10 the S1 was on my list of options but it was several months away from release, so we went with the X10. My review will focus on how these two differ. As of writing, the firmware on my S1 Pro is 6.9.43 and the base station firmware is v2.5.4.4. Both robots use the same Eufy app which is currently in v3.2.4Floor Mapping. The S1 lacks a camera and LED light which were both on the X10. With the camera and the light, the X10 did a great job at mapping. The S1 uses a new technology called dToF LiDAR. I captured 2 screenshots from the app, the neat one is from the X10 and the other one is from the S1, you can clearly see how nice and neat the X10 is. I was pretty disappointed with this mapping. I ran this mapping 2 or 3 times to see if there would be a difference, and there was a slight difference when I ran it in the morning with all the sunlight and at night. The morning mapping was a little better. While I might understand why Eufy chose not to use a camera, still because of a privacy issue a few years back with their cameras, there is no denying that so far the camera mapping is superior in my opinion. I'm hoping that this will get better with a firmware update.Obstacle Avoidance. The X10 is incredible at this feature able to identify many objects with ease, again the camera and the light helped it a lot in this area. The X10 will also identify objects on the map with a photo capture. So far the S1, while good at avoidance, is not able to identify objects, and if it did it can't provide a photo.Mopping on Carpets. While both robots will raise their mops when they sense carpets, the X10 has the option to enable mopping on carpets, this is a useful feature for my wife who likes to do that from time to time. The S1, however, doesn't include that option at all. Again I'm hoping that this can be fixed with a firmware update.Vacuuming. Both robots do a great job at vacuuming as they both have a suction power of 8000 Pa. The S1 however has 2 side brushes on the left and on the right (the X10 has one on the right only, much like most robots on the market), which logically should enhance the vacuuming process. The S1 package includes another set of side brushes as these are expected to be changed from time to time. The app will notify you whenever that needs to be replaced. Both have auto-emptying of dust into disposable dust bags which could last 2-3 months. The S1 comes with a 2nd bag so that will have you covered for the next 4-6 months. Note that each robot has a different type of bag, unfortunately.Mopping. This is where the S1 really shines over the X10. The S1 uses a new type of roller mop that covers a large area and cleans itself as it mops the floor, the use of this new roller will eliminate any streak marks left by standard round mops, and it also exerts nice pressure to remove stains sometimes from the first round of cleaning (the X10 might need a second run). Another nice touch in the S1 is the ability to add the detergent automatically to the clean water tank (the package comes already with one detergent included that slides in place in the base station). For the X10 this needs to be added manually every time you fill the clean water tank. You have to make sure you use Eufy-branded detergents as other brands could damage the Robots. They both clean the mops after use, however, the S1 uses a new technology, Eco-Clean Ozone (which is fun to watch, you can see it in the clean water tank with all the bubbles being generated, I tried to capture that in one of the photos) and high heat to clean and dry the mops eliminating any smells from the mops (the package does come with another spare mop to be used after a few months of mopping, again the app will remind you when its time to do that). Both robots have a clean water tank of 3L but the X10 has a dirty water tank of 2.7L and only 2L on the S1. Which is normal since the S1 robot has a small reservoir and a lot of the water will be used to clean.Eufy Clean App. The phone app is the same for both robots, I can switch between which robot I need to manage without changing apps which is great. You can do all the usual room clean, zone clean, and house clean, with 1 pass or 2 passes, standard or deep clean, etc. You can schedule the robot to clean at certain times, in certain rooms, and with certain settings, it's very convenient this way. I noticed a slight difference in when each robot needs to go back to empty the dust or clean the mops. The X10 uses times to decide when to return whether it's 15 mins, 20 mins, etc. On the S1 however, you need to decide that based on the area that was cleaned so far, which is probably a better measure. You can also configure the robot to use smart home devices like Amazon Alexa so that you can voice control it.Base Station Controls. One great feature of the S1 is the touch control on the base station. There are no controls on the X10's base station. With these touch buttons, you can control the robot even when it's somewhere in the house cleaning. For example, you can ask it to return to base with the click of a button, you don't need to open the app for that.Hope this review was helpful. I, personally, really like this robot with the amazing mop function, and enhanced vacuuming, and I feel that Eufy will soon develop many of its features as it updates the software and the firmware.

Review: The Eufy S1 Pro Omni Robot Vacuum is designed to redefine home cleaning, combining advanced features like real-time self-cleaning, 8,000 Pa suction, and a sleek design inspired by sports cars. As someone who values both efficiency and aesthetics in household gadgets, I’ve put the S1 Pro through its paces, and here’s an in-depth look at how it performs.Key Features OverviewThe S1 Pro boasts an impressive array of features, each designed to make your cleaning routine as effortless as possible. Its 170 RPM self-cleaning mop, powerful suction, and 10-in-1 UniClean Station are standout aspects that set it apart from other robot vacuums on the market. This review will delve into how these features perform in real-world scenarios, addressing both the strengths and areas where the device could improve.Mopping Performance: Impressive Yet ImperfectOne of the most touted features of the S1 Pro is its mopping ability. The device applies 1 kg of downward pressure, mimicking a hand-scrubbing action that effectively tackles stubborn stains. In practice, I found that the mop does an excellent job on hardwood floors, leaving them spotless after a single pass. The self-cleaning mechanism ensures that the mop remains clean throughout the process, minimizing the risk of spreading dirt. However, the robot occasionally struggles with tight spaces, especially under low-hanging cabinets or furniture. Adjusting the height detection sensitivity can help, but it may also increase the risk of the robot getting stuck. Despite these minor challenges, the mopping feature is a significant asset, particularly for maintaining clean, streak-free floors.Vacuuming: Powerful Yet InconsistentWhen it comes to vacuuming, the S1 Pro delivers 8,000 Pa of suction power, which is more than sufficient for hard floors. It easily picks up dirt, dust, and small debris, making it ideal for homes with a mix of tile, hardwood, and low-pile carpets. However, the vacuum’s performance on carpets, especially those with pet hair, is less consistent. Larger clumps of hair sometimes get bypassed, as the robot mistakenly identifies them as obstacles. This issue can be somewhat mitigated by adjusting the settings, but it’s clear that the S1 Pro is more effective on hard floors than on thick, plush carpets.Navigation and Connectivity: Smooth Yet SelectiveThe S1 Pro excels in navigation, thanks to its LiDAR and AI vision technology. It efficiently maps out your home, saving these maps for future cleanings, which makes targeting specific areas or setting up no-go zones incredibly straightforward. The robot’s ability to remember multiple floor plans is a boon for multi-story homes. However, the drop sensor, designed to prevent falls, sometimes mistakes dark carpets for drop-offs, causing the robot to skip certain areas. Additionally, while the device generally maintains a strong connection with Wi-Fi, I recommend setting up virtual walls around staircases to avoid any mishaps.Maintenance and Self-Cleaning: Convenient Yet CostlyOne of the major selling points of the S1 Pro is its UniClean Station, which handles tasks like auto emptying, auto washing, and heated air drying. This feature significantly reduces the hands-on maintenance required, allowing you to spend less time worrying about cleaning and more time enjoying your tidy home. The self-cleaning mop is particularly impressive, ensuring that the mop stays clean and ready for the next session. However, the noise generated during dust collection and mop washing can be a bit loud, which might be a drawback if you’re looking for a quieter device. Additionally, the cost of replacement parts, such as dust bags and mop heads, can add up over time, making this a consideration for potential buyers.Design and Aesthetic: A Blend of Style and FunctionThe S1 Pro isn’t just a cleaning tool; it’s also a stylish addition to your home. Its sleek, square design allows it to access hard-to-reach areas like corners and edges, where dirt typically accumulates. The device’s sports car-inspired look adds a touch of modern sophistication to any room, making it both a practical and aesthetic choice. The docking station, though a bit bulky, is well-designed and easy to set up. However, it does require a bit of space, so careful placement is necessary to ensure optimal performance.Pros and ConsPros:Effective Mopping: Real-time self-cleaning mop leaves floors spotless.Powerful Suction: 8,000 Pa suction effectively cleans hard floors.Smart Navigation: LiDAR and AI vision provide efficient mapping and navigation.Minimal Maintenance: UniClean Station handles most cleaning tasks automatically.Stylish Design: A sleek look that complements modern interiors.Cons:Carpet Performance: Inconsistent on carpets, particularly with pet hair.Sensor Sensitivity: Drop sensor misidentifies dark carpets as drop-offs.Operational Noise: Loud during dust collection and mop washing.Replacement Costs: Ongoing costs for dust bags and mop heads.Final VerdictThe Eufy S1 Pro Omni Robot Vacuum is a high-performing, stylish device that excels in many areas, particularly in mopping and hard floor cleaning. While it has some challenges with carpet cleaning and sensor sensitivity, these are relatively minor compared to the overall benefits. If you’re in the market for a top-tier robot vacuum that combines cutting-edge technology with convenience, the S1 Pro is a worthy investment. Just be prepared for some ongoing costs and the occasional need to adjust settings to get the best performance.
