Title: but for me this mic saved my favorite "game".
Review: Very impressed... came in 2 days but more impressed with product. Huge Rock Band player from the beginning to present. As the only vocalist in our band (and the only instrument I can play), the switch to RB4 from previous versions was disappointing for me. Had to turn all my legacy mics WAY down to avoid the feedback/lag that only started with RB4. If you're a singer and wondering if this mic is different than all the legacy mics, it is. I am able to turn it back up and it seems to have quicker response to song pitch at the beginning of notes. Pitch level doesn't bounce around at the beginning of measures and pitch fall offs are WAY easier to achieve ( ie TOM PETTY ). If you are not singing with authority or at high difficulty levels then legacy mics might be enough, but for me this mic saved my favorite "game".

Title: Must buy for Rock Band 4
Review: It's not often that a single accessory can totally change my gaming experience.I played RB way too much. For a time it was literally the only game I played and I probably burned out several of my old Xbox 360s because of it. When I got RB 4, I simply used my old RB 3 and my old RB Beatles mics. It was a bad idea as it was clear that my old mics were not registering properly. Songs that I used to easily gold star seemed suddenly out of reach. Launching overdrives was also a pain. The mics were picking up all the amibent sound and ruining combos for me. Even breathing was launching overdrives.I decided to buy the new mic and it made a huge difference. The mic is easy to hold, picks up my voice perfectly and doesn't pick up any of the music from the TV (and as a result I don't see overdrives launching for no reason). Long story short, if you're a vocalist and want a solid mic for RB 4 and the old mics don't cut it, then get this mic. Don't even wait, just do it

Title: It works
Review: I don't think these are actually new when you buy them; they come without a box (just bubble wrap) and the first one i ordered didn't work. I replaced it, and now it works fine with my Xbox Series S. The price is definitely steep, but at least it works!

Title: I did a side by side comparison with my RB3 Mike and I am glad I bought the RB4 Mike
Review: Big improvements in the quality over past generation mikes. First thing I notice was the USB jack was gold plated. During game play the mike works really well. I did a side by side comparison with my RB3 Mike and I am glad I bought the RB4 Mike. It doesn't seem to distort. Sometimes with the older Mikes, when you sing with any degree of passion, the sheer volume of your voice can cause the Mike to not register your voice in microsecond intervals. I am not having this issue with the RB4 Mike, and my scores are reflecting this change too. The one draw back is playing percussion (i.e. tambourine, clapping, cow bell etc.) you'll have to be a tad more aggressive or use the controller (as I've learned to do.)

Title: Worth it if you're singing on hard or expert
Review: Oh what a difference a mic can make! We've been using our Rock Band 3 mic and it's been frustrating from time to time. I got this one as a birthday gift and wow, what a difference! I sing on expert and learned quickly I couldn't take some sort of vocal short cuts the old mic had let me get away with, but I've managed to gold star more than 25 songs since getting this in May so I think I'm getting the hang of it. It takes very little tapping to register the cowbell & tambourine bits, which is nice since with Rock Band 3 I learned to tap the mic on my wedding band as a work-around.When we have parties and play Rock Band I don't see a lot of difference between this and the old mic for the folk who sing on Medium or Easy with the exception of tapping. So, it may not be worth it to lay out the cash if you're not looking for a more exacting mic...unless the tapping is driving you nuts, then it's definitely worth it.

Title: Pretty disappointed
Review: So I bought this Mic for my series S, and it came in within a couple of days of me ordering it. Seems like a great quality mic but when I plugged it in to try and play, it didn’t work. I searched for hours to see if there’s something else that I need to do to connect it. There isn’t, its just supposed to be a plug and play. I unscrewed the head of the mic to see if there was something wrong internally. Turns out the wires aren’t connected fully and look like they were damaged a little. Idk if this has happened to other people, but for the price I’m a little disappointed.

Title: Totally worth the price.
Review: The difference between this mic and the old one from Rock Band 1/2/3 is night and day. First of all, it seems to have some sort of noise cancelation built in; the old mics pick up the singing from the game and throw it off, but this one has zero false pickups. Second, it appears to have an accelerometer inside, as it registers taps for the tambourine/cowbell parts with much less force needed. Third, the dynamic range is far superior, which is good and bad. If you are a mediocre singer, the old mic would let you get away with mistakes this one won't, but if you are decent it makes it easier to hit tricky parts.Overall, if you like singing in RB, this should be a no brainer.
