Title: Constant Problems and Terrible Support
Review: I started having problems with this device almost immediately. Text would appear garbled, and the device would frequently crash. I tried to trouble shoot it myself for a while, and eventually tried contacting Roku support, who walked me through the usual system resets, etc. It worked fine for another month or so, but then suddenly started dropping out audio and refused to connect with my Roku wireless speakers. Spent another week trying everything from resets to changing my wifi setup to changing my room setup. Support finally issued an RMA, but under the condition that I return the device first and pay for the shipping costs. I should have just returned it through Amazon when problems started initially. I've used Roku products for years, and while they have always had some issues, at least support used to be ok. I'm now planning to transition my entire ecosystem to something else.

Title: Perfect Companion For Desktop Monitor
Review: I use this to drive a 2K computer monitor normally used for a second computer screen. It works great. I just plugged it in, used the Roku settings functions to set it for 4K (even though my monitor is only 2K), and it just works. Sound quality is at least equal to my LG tv, or perhaps better. I have learned that turning it “off” with the remote control does not actually de-energize the Roku unit; as a result, the screen will never go to sleep. When done watching the Roku programming, I must switch the monitor back to the computer input so that it will sleep when not in use; or, I can just turn off the monitor.

Title: Saved me money
Review: Almost replaced a whole tv but found this instead. We have an old smart tv that won’t support a lot of streaming services plus having a wall mounted tv makes for crappy audio. But this was exactly what I needed and saved me a ton of money.

Title: Sound good, quirky sync
Review: The sound is satisfactory. The problem I have is it will turn on the TV when I turn off the TV with my universal remote. It works great tuning into the Roku homepage, goes right to the correct HDMI input. When I use my universal remote to turn on the DirecTV, sometimes I have to switch the HDMI input manually.I have found that this only works as a standalone input. Any cable box or satellite box and this becomes a multi input multi remote nightmare.

Review: Had an old computer running my old LED tv for a home theatre. Wife hated the work involved starting computer , receiver, etc.. This works good and sound is pretty good not great but acceptable to an old fellow with hearing loss …Set up was fairly easy although it did not want to work audio with out hooking up the fibre optic cable not sure why my tv and cable were compatible.

Review: The computer we were using as a kitchen TV finally gave up the ghost. As a replacement, I grabbed a disused monitor and connected it to the Roku Streambar, now we can not only watch Netflix, but we can even cast a video through AirPlay from our iPhones, using Chrome from our computers, or even just music from YouTube music. This thing takes anything you throw at it - it is completely agnostic - and the sound is fantastic! Roku products are severely underrated.

Review: What I like about this unite ,is that it made the picture sharper and more clear on my tv. The sound bar speakers are better quality than my tv speakers. Plus the Roku's remote works with my tv to turn it of or on , and also controls the sound bars volume. I use the Roku Streambar to find information on utube , moves and other programs on WI-FI . The Roku Streambar works better than I expected
