She tried to kill him, so he made her his wife.

Skadi first met her husband-to-be with blades in hand on the opposite side of a battle. She lost, and he claimed his prize.

To her horror, the king of the shadow elven agrees to marry her off to Jonas, a prince in the fae realms, as a way to unite their kingdoms against a shared enemy—the light elves. Skadi knows the marriage is nothing but a political game. Feelings won't come into play.

Except her new husband makes not falling in love... challenging.

When new threats arise, Skadi must decide either to love her enemy or keep him alive by betraying him to another.

Welcome to another installment in the Ever Seas world where pirates, fae, and elves collide with Vikings in a dark fantasy romance between a morally gray cinnamon roll and the broken princess who steals his heart. This has a guaranteed HEA and is set in the same world as the bestselling Broken Kingdoms series. While it stands alone, it's best enjoyed after listening to The Ever King and The Ever Queen.

Review: The Mist Thief by L.J. Andrews is a spellbinding read that effortlessly combines fantasy, intrigue, and emotion into a captivating tale. Andrews has created a richly imaginative world where every detail feels meticulously crafted and every character deeply resonant. The plot is a masterful blend of suspense and magic, keeping you on the edge of your seat as secrets are revealed and twists unfold. The protagonist’s journey is both exhilarating and poignant, with a depth of character that makes you truly care about their fate. Andrews’s prose is both lyrical and immersive, drawing you into a world that feels both enchanting and perilous. Title: Worth the read
Review: I really enjoyed this book, along with the earlier books in the series! I was really excited to dive into Jonas and Skadi's story after finishing Erik & Livia's plotlines.Rake male leads with lots of rizz are one of my favorite archetypes and Jonas was showing lots of promise in the The Ever King and The Ever Queen.Thankfully, I was not disappointed with Jonas & Skadi here! Their story is well written, interesting and honestly downright sweet. The pacing for this book felt just right, but my only complaint is that I felt this particular book was lacking in plot (unlike it's predecessors, which were a great balance of plot & romance).

Title: a page turner with chapter art
Review: Loved reading the story of Skadi and Jonas, the pair seemed to have mesmerized me while mesmerizing each other!! I enjoyed seeing a lot of old-new faces again and everyones interactions with each other. I will say there are so many characters that all have their own cultures and backgrounds, sometimes it’s hard to remember the names and what they mean- BUT our girl LJ doesn’t leave us hanging! Instead LJ takes the time to include some literature in the beginning of the book to give a refresher, it’s helpful and very appreciated! As are all the art inside of the book!! So cute and it sets her apart from other writers, keep up the good work <3 Reviewer: Crystal Coast Bookworm

Title: The Mist Thief Review
Review: In The Mist Thief, the third installment of the Ever Series, L.J. Andrews delivers a captivating tale that continues to expand the rich universe established in the previous novels, The Ever King and The Ever Queen. While The Mist Thief is designed to be a standalone read, I highly recommend immersing yourself in the earlier books for a fuller understanding of the intricate backstory and character dynamics.Picking up seamlessly from where The Ever Queen left off, this novel centers on Jonas Eriksson, a character who quickly proves to be as compelling as his predecessors. Andrews has a knack for crafting multidimensional characters, and here, both the main and supporting cast shine. Each character offers unique insights that deepen the narrative and enhance the world-building.The chemistry between Jonas and Skadi is simply exquisite. Their relationship is a masterclass in slow-burn romance, complete with witty banter and palpable tension. The fierce connection they share makes their moments together electrifying, and readers will find themselves rooting for them as individuals and as a couple. Andrews perfectly balances passion with character development, ensuring that their love story feels earned and authentic.Andrews' prose is as engaging as ever, effortlessly drawing readers into a world filled with magic, intrigue, and emotional depth. The stakes are high, the action is gripping, and the underlying themes of love, loyalty, and self-discovery resonate throughout. As I closed the final pages, I was left eagerly anticipating the next book in the series, which promises to shift focus to a new set of characters. If The Mist Thief is any indication, L.J. Andrews will continue to deliver enchanting stories that keep readers spellbound. Highly recommended for fans of fantasy romance and anyone looking for a beautifully crafted tale of love and adventure.

Title: Good
Review: I really enjoy this world, the characters, and the story. This is a standalone, but since we are introduced to the characters in the two previous books, the story works well. It is a duel POV, which I enjoy, and has a HEA. I am looking forward to Mira and Tait’s story next. This is not a clean book, but it is easy to skip the scenes.

Review: I absolutely loved The Mist Thief!!! This is Jonas and Skadi’s story with a marriage of convenience that they both do out of duty but it’s turns into much more than either of them expected. Their story takes place after the events in The Ever Queen, however you could still read this book as a standalone.I enjoyed seeing more of this world since I haven’t read the Broken Kingdoms series yet. All the alvers stole my heart! They are all thieves and smugglers but they are so loyal and welcoming to Skadi. I’m so happy she found a home with people who embrace her powers instead of fearing them.Of course I love Skadi and Jonas together! Jonas is such a cinnamon roll but can be downright vicious when he has to be. I adore how protective he is of Skadi and pushes her to be herself. Skadi is scared of her power so it’s amazing to see her journey of accepting her self and her magic. I also love seeing her stand up for herself and being a badass. These two have incredible banter and chemistry. The tension is off the charts and their spicy scenes are 🥵! They also have so many fun and sweet moments that melted my heart. This is definitely a new favourite series for me and I can’t wait for the next book!!Read this book if you like:🖤 marriage of convenience✨ pirates & vikings🖤 fae & elves✨morally grey cinnamon roll mmc🖤 standalone romance✨ “my wife “🖤 dark fantasy romance

Review: When one of your favourite authors writes a second generation of not only your favourite series, but your favourite couple in that series, you know it's going to be a hit. Add into that some of your all time favourite tropes (cinnamon roll, he falls first and HARD, he's a little tortured and grey, she doesn't want to open up but can't help herself with him) it's a five star read. Hands down.I'm obsessed with LJ's writing, everything she writes is pure gold. The storytelling, the plot twists, the character development, everything is spot on!If you love an epic fantasy with an epic romance, characters who are all a little morally grey and will do unspeakable things to protect the ones they love. If you want a castle full of thieves and scoundrels who are just the most devoted found family you've ever read, pick up this book.Damn, I'm getting goosebumps just thinking about it.

Review: Imagine trying to kill someone and suddenly you're married to that person. Welcome to the world of "The Mist Thief", where Skadi and Jonas show us how to turn a disaster into a love story. 💔➡️❤️Jonas, the serial bachelor, suddenly finds himself in a marriage with Skadi, a woman who tried to strike him down on the battlefield. The chemistry between them is explosive right from the start - in the truest sense of the word. 🔥💥 Skadi, who at first hardly believes she is safe with her new husband, quickly realizes that the attraction between them is stronger than any political reason that brought them together. Why fight your spouse when you can't get them out of your head? 🤷‍♀️💕The world LJ Andrews has created is rich and layered. We get deeper insights into the realm of the Fae and the development of the Alven, meet old acquaintances in the Ever Kingdom and continue to explore the realm of the Shadow Elves. 🏰🌌 The different cultures and their complex relationships bring the story to life and make it fascinating. The marriage between Skadi and Jonas begins as a political alliance, but it offers both of them more than just strategic advantages. Skadi, who has been manipulated and conditioned by her past, slowly discovers her true potential and finds the courage to be herself. 🌟💪The strong family bonds and the men's support for their wives' rights are another highlight. These characters are not only fighters, but also loving partners, which creates a wonderful dynamic. The humor woven into the story and the sizzling scenes between Skadi and Jonas make the book a real treat. 🔥LJ Andrews' writing style is vivid and captivating. "The Mist Thief" offers a perfect blend of suspense, romance and humor. Skadi and Jonas' story is an adventure not to be missed. 📚✨

Review: Am I obsessed with everything LJ Andrews? Yep. After getting introduced to LJ late last year with the Ever King I haven't looked back. A year ago I would never believe that I'd be so lucky to get an ARC read from LJ, let alone for The Mist Thief. It has been an honor and the absolute brilliance of this book made it so easy. The Mist Thief is technically book 3 in the Ever Seas series and I guess book 12 in the greater Broken Kingdoms world. However it can be read as a standalone (you'll get hooked and end up reading it all anyway 😉).I cannot gush enough about this world and it is my favourite fantasy universe of all time. Yes I know that's a big call but it's just so intricate, intriguing and vivid that I can't help but feel completely baffled by its beauty. The way that LJ creates this incredibly immersive world with such poetic and haunting writing is just something else. And Jonas' story is no exception. I am already a sucker for a morally grey playboy but add in an arranged marriage, enemies to lovers, touch her and die, and all the absolutely epic characters and I was never coming back from this one. Plus the one liners in this make me swoon 🥵Jonas is witty, funny, flirty, intelligent, loyal, fiery and truly a nightmarish monster all in one. How lucky Skadi is to control his attention, even if she doesn't think so 😏. Skadi is monstrous, strong, forgiving, kind, stunning and smart. Her wit matches Jonas in the perfect way. I love watching her grow and see the truly ruthless icon she becomes 🔥If you love fantasy & enemies to lovers, with my wife moments of absolute steamy flirting then this book is the one for you. Jonas has such a big heart, he is extremely loyal but don't be mistaken if you hurt what is his you will pay the price as you see all your worst nightmares.Go grab your copy and meet the Nightmare Prince ⚔️
