Title: This stuff is great for killing rust on automobiles
Review: This is a good product at a reasonable price. Easy to apply and as advertised converts rust to a stable platform that can be painted directly. I had a couple of rust pockets at the lower edge of a pickup truck, after applying this product I was completely comfortable that the rust was stabilized. I applied some Bondo over the area because some metal was missing. A great repair, in which I am confident will last for years.

Title: 2nd bottle
Review: It seems to convert the rust and leave a rubbery like, black coating on the steel. So far I like it and what it does. The first bottle this size (1-quart), lasted through a 67 Cutlass, 71 C10 stepside muscle truck and 77 GMC truck.Besides the normal brushing on, I tried to use it to fill a cavity.... Don't bother unless you can tip that item in all kinds of angles to get it to coat. By filling a cavity, it just creates a film that turns black where exposed to air and under it, it will still be liquid. I tried to fill the rear cab brace on a square body GMC. After waiting 2 weeks for it to harden, I more or less gave up and just moved on with my project, spraying it down with coal tar epoxy.I attached 2 pics, the first showing the raw steel framework for the sail panel (C pillar) for a 67 Cutlass after I sanded it down. I coated the sail panel framework with this stuff before buttoning it up with a donor rear quarter. It works OK if you put it in a squirt bottle to reach tight spots. Just don't put in much. As for the bottle, brush, paint cup or whatever you use to apply this, it'll be ruined. I'm not even sure it can be cleaned from a brush well enough to matter, I just buy the 99 cent brushes (not foam) wherever I find them and toss when I'm done. The lids for aerosol paint cans or a Dixie cup work good as a holding cup. Do NOT put unused product back in the bottle! A little goes a LONG way... Imagine brushing on water and how well that'd cover if all you had to do was get the surface wet. This stuff is bad news if you burn it and has a weird smell. Yeah, you'd never intentionally hit this with a flame, but if you coat the inside of the panel with this, then weld that panel in place..... Make sure it's well ventilated, don't need a third arm popping out of your back mid project. Wait, that might actually be useful, my luck I'd get a third ear that doesn't work any better than the other two useless ears, but it'll be on my forehead.... Don't do it... Don't let your young body write checks your old man body can't cash...Lastly, I'm part of several large car groups and it seems that all the other products out there that do this similar thing with rust, aren't any better than this brand. A couple are close to equal, but many fall short of this stuff.

Title: This stuff works
Review: This stuff is easy to apply and seems to encapsulate the rust. It also accepts a top coat of paint as a primer would!!

Title: Follow instructions, good results
Review: We used this product in the paper manufacturing industry on rusted/ corroded internal components of process equipment. It reacts with (rust) to form a tough primer coating and cleans up with water. Extend performs well. Itâs not âcheapâ but worth the money. I had to have some at home so I found some on Amazon. Iâm sure that other similar products are available, but I know that this product can withstand the harshest conditions.

Title: Does a great job eliminating and stabilizing rust.
Review: As usual any Loctite product performs fantastically. this took all of the rust on my yard wagon and converted it to a stable paintable surface, just follow directions on the bottle.I put Lowes herculiner on the inside bed and it has performed fantastically. it has bonded very securely to the rust treatment finished surface. Highly recommend this product.

Title: The ONLY stuff for treating rusted metal.
Review: This is the ONLY stuff for treating rusted metal (also a matching Henkel product- just match the 75430 number). I used this decades ago working on cars, where I would then apply glass cloth/polyester resin/bondo over the area for rust repair (when I was young and poor and couldn't afford new metal...!). It helped the repairs last much longer. I am now repairing a rusted storm culvert on my pond, and tried a number of products from HD and Lowe's that were a complete waste of time. For best results, knock/scrape/wire brush loose rust and layered scale off the area to be repaired, and use a motorized wire wheel to really get down to it. Clean the area with solvent like enamel reducer, lacquer thinner or Xylol before applying- this is a water-based product so it can be repelled by dirt, oil or grease. You'll see those little divots as you apply it- just keep working the material, it'll cover. Use two coats. Bless Amazon for making the real thing so easy to find, and easy to get.

Review: Started using Extend back in the early 80's when doing vehicle restoration. Quality product that works much better than any of the 4 similar products I have tried. Paint on a couple of coats and after drying you have a hard, sandable surface. Turns rust, be it surface or deep penetration, into a very hard intert black material. Rusted metal you can push your finger through becomes very rigid an seems impervious to further decay.

Review: I've used this for 8 years on all my metal outside, like a utility trailer that sits outside all year. Couple of coats of this and a topcoat of paint and it looks great. I tried other brands hen I ran out and they didn't work.

Review: Converts quickly, dry time depends on how thick you put it on. Leaves a glossy finish. I found that if you don't apply something on top after a week or so new surface rust will start to appear. Easy to remove after dried if you use a grinder with a wire wheel.
